Activision: PC gamers seem to hate our games for some reason, let's scrap all future releases.

Making another exception to my rule (not posting deals so close to a major Steam sale) but I can't help it.

I honestly wouldn't miss Activision one bit if they're completely gone from PC gaming.
I personally would. Crash and Spyro trilogies were mediocre ports but good games. THPS looks awesome but I won't buy it on EGS and Crash 4 also looks really good but while I respect the decision to go exclusive to B.net, it won't make me buy it.

Crash 4 PC preorder:
  • The game will be released on or before December 31 2021.
:ripblob::LOL:

thats standard fare for actiblizz pre-purchases, believe it or not... :grimacing-face:

anyway, if activision becomes the latests company in a long line that tries to do it solo with their own launcher, so be it... theyll be back eventually, and its not like they have a lot of games coming out anyway.

btw, the battlenet client has not updated to that new design for me yet. and i use that practically thing every day (for wow and overwatch)

You can opt into it. I did it months ago.

Cyber Shadow finally beat. It took about 11hrs, because I enjoy dying a bunch. 87% as far as collectables go. Good game.

Onto the next.

2021: Donut County, Cyber Shadow... what's next.

The PS2 Warriors game is fantastic, especially if you're into the movie. I wish it were on PC so I could always have it around. I don't plan on plugging in my Xbox anytime soon.

Good riddance. Plenty of others fish in the sea until customers beat some sense into that garbage scow of a company and it does an 180.
Yep. It feels like a tantrum, throwing their toys on the ground and walking away with a pout as they realize they can't have it their draconian, control-obsessed way.

Then they see the money lying on the table, unattended, and shuffle back unceremoniously on Steam/GoG/Etc.

Ah Piko, WHAT A SCUMMY COMPANY.

Not only they complain about people not caring about their products enough to make them rich or Steam/GOG not promoting them specifically because, somehow, they deserve it but they also now hurt the mere fact of their existence that is preserving second line products from old gaming era.

Seriously, this fellas are absolutely the worst.

ah okay. not gonna bother until its pushed to everyone, probably, im fine with the current/old design. but then again, im seldomly super keen on broad design changes. improvement by increment, i say :D

Do we know who is supposedly behing the Bloodborne PC version?

googles how to mute "fantomena+bloodborne+pc" combination
;)

I have it on good sources, that it's being ported exclusively by G.R.R. Martin. After his colab on Elden Ring, he needed more things to help him procrastinate and not work on his books, so he started to learn how to port games to PC.
As you can see, it's taking him a while to get it done. .

Imagine entrusting game preservation to a for-profit company... and a bad one at that. :dana_blanket:

How about no, Piko. We'll upload this game to archive.org, and we will seed its torrent well after your company goes under.

It is like I am one of the only ones who care about Crash 4 not being released on Steam in here.

It is one of my most anticipated PC releases. :emo:
Unfortunately the only reason why I bought the trilogy was Nostalgic feeling and I think a lot of people did too.

Crash is not a character I like and tbf, I don't want any more of it. so yeah, sorry but I think you are one of the very few you care about this.

I kid you not, 18 minutes after your post :

Thank you for the heads up. I now don't have to stress over picking my next game.

It is one of my most anticipated PC releases. I think it is the first exclusive game which bothers me. :emo:

I care, but mainly because it signals the shift to Bnet. I really want Tony Hawk on Steam. :crying-face:

Parsnip Ahhh, i rarely go to Era anymore and when i do i only go into a couple of specific threads tbh. I just noticed there was talk about the game here yesterday and i still had the steam tab open this morning. I now notice it was mentioned in the Epic thread. My bad.

THPS was the one that bothered me most. Stings that it’ll possibly only be on EGS (or so people say). But, on a long enough time scale, everything eventually makes it onto Steam or GOG :thumbsupblob:
Well, in my opinion they will test the waters with SP content there and study the possibility of releasing in multiple places at the same time or not after a few years, thing is, keep in mind that they will most likely say this release has been a success even if it appears in Humble Monthly the same month of release, however I think we will see a few come backs in the next few years like EA or MS.

Slowly but steady.

lol

We said for a number of years that our normal template is to come with either three or four AAA games, so we'll stick to that plan for fiscal 2022," said CFO Frederick Duguet. "But we see that we are progressively, continuously moving from a model that used to be only focused on AAA releases to a model where we have a combination of strong releases from AAA and strong back catalog dynamics, but also complimenting our program of new releases with free-to-play and other premium experiences."

Elsewhere in the call, CEO Yves Guillemot also noted that the company's back catalog -- or its already-released games that are still bringing in revenue long term -- will also play a heavier role in the company's revenues in the future, and already are.

"We are continuing to move toward an increasingly pronounced recurrence of our revenues on the back of growing audiences," said Guillemot. "Therefore, we expect our highly-profitable back catalog to account for an even larger share of our business going forward."

lol
Their back catalogue. right.... So either theyre jumping on the remaster train (as only Ubi can) or games that have released in the Uplay/EGS deal are going elsewhere soon because they didn't have a big enough ROI
