My new Graphics Card has arrived!
I put it in and my PC still boots so I think I did fine on that end.
Now installing drivers and then I'll boot up some 2D game to totally waste all that new power.
:wd_p:

Enjoy your newfound power!

The Farm 51's Kickstarter campaign for Chernobylite is live:

Additionally, I just discovered a game that has Dario Argento as an "artistic director".

They've made a short film with in-game assets, to promote the game:

Let's just all agree that even peak Star Trek is a dumpster fire compared to Babylon 5 and move on.

And every scifi fan should start watching The Expanse asap.
I firmly disagree about B5.

But yes, The Expanse is the best sci-fi show currently running. Everyone should appreciate everything the fans did to help create an outcry for it to return. Special show, solid community, good books to boot.

All this egs really is quite something. Like I was listening to a Swedish podcast, been listening to them for years, but in the latest episode they were calling the egs backlash "pathethic" , also did the "its just another launcher" and "steams monopoly needs competition because Indies can't get a spotlight because trash". And to top it off they were cheering randy pitchfork on for his Twitter fighting. Had to unsubscribe.

yeah, it really is sad :(

At this point, people who stan for EGS are either console folk, people who act like Gaben kicked their dogs for some reason, or just really dumb guys

i'm pretty sure most of those people are just occasional PC gamers ... as in: they own pretty much all platforms and just game on whatever ... that would explain why they don't really give a damn about steam, origin, gog, egs and the PC market in general ... they probably really DO just use steam as a launcher and nothing else

so i can kinda understand why they don't really care

BUT that doesn't really excuse them just dismissing people who have been gaming mainly on PC for years and who know a bit more about all of that stuff

like, sure, you don't have to agree ... but don't tell everyone else (ESPECIALLY if they know more about it than you do) they're wrong, or entitled, or whatever

So not only is control a timed exclusive on the EGS, DLC's are also additionally timed exclusive to a console?

Lmao get fucked remedy

they had nothing to do with this

looks like 505 decided to cash out and take all the deals they possibly could

Remedy didn't know about (and had no say in) the egs deal

Yeah, this has been the biggest issue for me.

It basically comes down to "Fuck you, got mine" attitude. I just don't want to deal with those kind of people anymore.

Each time people are complaining that the good games on Steam are drowning in trash and that Steam needs curation, I ask them to post a screenshot of their personalized store page. And EACH time they refuse to do so, saying that "at this moment" it seems perfectly fine.

Most of these people are just parroting anti-Valve media from Jimquisition or click-bait sites like Polygon.

this is fairly interesting nd not exactly what i expected after seing the title pic :face-savouring-delicious-food:

In Holy Road, you play the role of an exiled bishop.
In order to reobtain what was rightfully yours, you must start all over from the very beginning.
You must start your own kingdom, increase its population while defending your citizens, and thus increasing your wealth and power.
Only by doing this will you be able to get revenge on those that wronged you.
Do you have what it takes to build your own kingdom from scratch?

Find out for yourself in this kingdom building simulation game!

Features

  • A Kingdom Building Simulation Experience
  • Construct Buildings
  • Increase your Population
  • Defend your Citizens
  • Amass Wealth and Power
  • And Defeat your Enemies!

Went on their website annnnnnd it's....still a sex game like you might think from the store thumbnail. Some completely, totally, 100% NSFW pornographic stuff in their website screenshots.

I think there's almost zero chance the building/sim aspect of that game is good. But maybe maybe my instincts are wrong.

You can't believe how much i liked that show when i was a kid. :steam_pigblanket:
Always so spooky.
The german dub being placed over the english dub instead of replacing it also gave it a really unique feel.
Oh man the nostalgia! I need to rewatch it at some point to see if it actually was as spooky as I remember it. I haven't watched TV in like a decade but RTL II was the shit back then.

You don't even need to see the personalized store page.
Try opening Steam in an incognito tab, the home features by and large only good games.

Like, I've tested right now, and the only dodgy-looking games are Holy Road in the New & Trending list, and Atlas (with overwhelmingly negative reviews) as a featured discount.
