How is Hitman on Deck ?
Seemed to run great! Turned down a lot of quality settings to maximize battery time, and it still looked great. Estimated seemed to be around 3 hours of battery time (though I didn't play that long) and it ran smooth at 30 FPS. The text (at least during cutscenes) where legible and the controls seemed fine.

Looking forward to experience the trilogy on the Deck :D

Gonna wait for it to get cheaper or in a bundle, but definitely looking forward to playing this. I quite liked the devs' previous game, Anodyne 2, despite some clunkiness, though I didn't finish it due to finding the (I think) final section overly drawn out.
The devs said they will lower the price after the Winter Sale as the game didn't perform as they expected :disappointed-face:

The new price will be $19.99.

Basically they didn't port 1-3 because they wouldn't learn too much from porting those older games. U4 and LL are on newer ND engine and they used this to learn how to develop for PC. They should give 1-3 to Nixxes and let them add Ray Tracing (RTGI) XD
I just read that, and I don't want remakes for all 3 of them. Just release the damn Nathan Drake collection with ultrawide, uncapped framerate and support for all resolutions

Two days before Persona 5 Royal comes out as well. It's like they want it to flop (for a third time).
It has to be deliberate, right? Like, they'd miss out on some kind of tax write-off if it suddenly turned a profit or something lol.

Also, where the hell is the first game? Is that one a permanent Switch exclusive like the Collection of Mana? :negative-blob:

I really hope this does alright, feels like there is no hype at all.
Although I do understand why, you have games like Plague Tale now released, people hyped to play Persona 5, Neo now shadow dropped, new Call of Duty on Steam, Arkham Knights soon as well. I'm a huge fan of Uncharted (played through them many times), but even I am skipping till there is a discount as there are so many anticipated games.

Wasn't this TWEWY super mid, though ? Anyone played it ?
The original become a kind of cult classic. I think they never released it on platforms that didn't have a touch screen. Even the Switch port literally only lets you use the touch screen, none of the buttons does anything.

NEO is a 3D sequel which I haven't heard much about.

NEO: The World Ends with You Reviews
Seems decent going by opencritic

Just looked through the box with my handheld games in it (took it out a few months ago because I was planning to play Soul Hackers before the sequel came out, which certainly didn't happen) and turns out I have a DS copy of the first TWEWY lol. Guess I'll have to play it eventually.

Never could gel with the original. I felt there was far more style than substance, or maybe it was too slow for me. Tried two times.
Watch me never learn and try to get in the second one.

For me, the thing that ruined it was 30fps. I know it's unlockable, but atleast one level is unbeatable with it due to some physics being tied to framerate (specifically Spyro's movement, he doesn't jump and high and falls faster on higher framerates), and I raged for a long time trying to beat it, not really understanding why it was so hard. I do appreciate the option being there, but some notice or testing would've been nice.
I played the game through in 60. The one instance of issue I had was that I needed to temporarily lock to 30 in one level because a door would not open if the FPS was higher. Didn't have any noticeable issues with jump height or other physics issues.
But it's damning that they didn't patch it even once. Which sucks, but is down to Activision not giving them budget for it.

Fortunately that shouldn't be a problem with Sony's games, based on their PC history so far.

Tree Tops in the first game was unbeatable for me, maybe 60fps worked? but 144 def didn't. Well, if 60fps worked well overall, I'd put it in the same rank as Crash.

That's true!

As i said before as much as U4 and LL are good Sony made big mistake by releasing game with number 4 in the name. It doesn't matter how much independent are these games offering new audience just 4th installment in the franchise never went well.

Shouldn't Kingdom Hearts have come to Steam first? I think Neo Twewy was on Epic sooner than Kingdom Hearts

DO IT
TWEWY DS is genuinely one of the most unique games out there. I do not know of a single game with similar gameplay to it.

The biggest difference between Kingdom Hearts and the other Squeenix Epic exclusives is that Disney is also involved, it's not impossible that the deal was different for KH due to Disney?
Either that or Epic managed to get a longer exclusivity deal for KH (like how FF7R had a shorter deal?).

Or just Squeenix being weird.

fascinating blogpost full of fascinating PC quotes :dmcblob:

We also knew this PC release wasn’t going to be a one-off. As you may already know, The Last of Us Part I is in development for PC following its successful launch on PlayStation 5, and with this being, ahem, Uncharted territory for us, we knew we have a lot to learn about bringing our games to PC. But we were also determined to bring our careful consideration for every aspect of our games to this new version. So for the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, we deliberately partnered with Iron Galaxy because we saw in the studio not only a tremendous understanding of PC development we could learn from, but also a team that shared a love for our series as if it were their own. Iron Galaxy offered a partner we could trust would deliver a high-quality version of these two Uncharted games, and with whom we could work closely to better understand PC development while internally staying focused on current and future projects and bringing them to PC as well.
....
The Uncharted series’ PC debut is both thrilling and reflective, a chance for us to take the lessons learned about offering our games on a new platform, and the expectations and opportunities that go along with it. In learning so much through our partners at Iron Galaxy, we’re able to look ahead to the future of Naughty Dog games on PC more excitedly than ever.
...
Learning all of this through our partnership with Iron Galaxy Studios only helps to bolster Naughty Dog’s understanding of PC development, and allow us to deliver the quality you expect in our future releases. We’re excited to be offering The Last of Us Part I on PC in the future, and know that, moving forward, adding PC development to the way we develop games, which in no way undermines the importance of PlayStation 5 as our primary platform, will continue to benefit our team in the long run. As Naughty Dog has come to better understand hybrid and work-from-home development over the last few years, PC development offers our team flexibility in how, when, and where our games are created. Much like players can enjoy Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC from a variety of PC builds, our developers can work on PC iterations on various pieces of hardware from home or in the office.
...

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection’s PC release is a transformative pivot point for Naughty Dog. We not only have another chance to celebrate our beloved franchise but also introduce it to so many new players. In doing so, we set the stage for Naughty Dog to deliver high-quality games on PlayStation 5, with the option of a PC release as well, with an understanding of how to cater to the different needs of both audiences now and in the future.
pretty much says TLOU2 is coming too without directly stating it :evilblob:

I could never get into the first TWEWY, will try this one... at some point.
Also, should I reconsider my life choices when I look at the characters and think "hey they look like me"? :thinking-blob:

And Kingdom Hearts has been pushed back I guess. It will now release six hours before Final Fantasy 16.

thats weird version of the original twewy iirc
I don't think it is/was on Apple Arcade (there'd be an entry called TWEWY+ or something like that), wish it was though as Square never puts it on sale and it's likely the easiest way to play the game for me (I have a 3DS but don't want to look for a copy/really dislike playing anything on that).
