apparently it's good now too :)
Has the game really improved? I am tempted to try it at this price...
Thanks pal ;)
The changelog is impressive, so many improvements, the launch version was a mess :p
I may buy it now and wait for more patches, they seem focused to turn its fortunes around.
not saying that they didn't improve the game or are not willing to fix it but this playlog is long and i did have fun reading it (he did play the game after the recent update 2):

this is really cool idea and should be done on much more games ... although if i did something like this i would probably be hated to hell and back because i would pick much higher profile game for such playlog

... but wellmaybe it could also probably ruin the fun of actually plaing

The patch for witcher thronebreaker that came from nowhere today seems to have fixed the annoying hitching I was getting. Also added steam cards so yay 30 cents.

The game is sneaky good though. I think it has bigger choices than anything in witcher 3, at least choices that affect you and your gameplay personally if not the overall story. Lots of instances that seem to revolve around companions you can lose due to poor choices or miss out altogether. For example I made a tough call at one point to not return stolen church items because at that moment I desperately needed more gold. Like 3 hours later I was helping this guy clear out a monster nest and he was supposed to join me after we killed it, only he mentions while in camp he noticed the church items and refused to join me. He seemed like a really useful card too so that really stung. Also the game doesn't have a manual save unless you quit and it autosaves constantly so no save scumming allowed.

That being said the game is so depressing in true witcher fashion that I'm not even sure if the majority of these choices have a good option. You seem to get fucked over in some way no matter what lol.

I really liked the story in Thronebreaker, but holy hell the combat got old by the end. Maybe I had just found some OP combos or something but I was DECIMATING every fight except the rare battle where they forced me to use a pre-con deck or if it had some weird rules that prevented my thing from working.

The puzzles were lots of fun tough. Great stuff, I just wish the Gwent was either more difficult or there was something else to do.

Yeah I'm on the 4th map and at this point I think I'm mostly going through it just to see the remaining story stuff. I had to find another deck setup though because I had another key person leave in the third area and it happened to be the 1 card my entire deck was built around so that royally screwed me.

Follow my curator for more great puzzle game recommendations!

Short, very short, but sweet puzzle adventure game where you play a lonely robot waking up after a global calamity. Who are you? What happened? Who is this mysterious King of Diamonds.

The puzzles mainly come in two types, avoid the obstacles and follow a pattern guitar hero style on a screen to open doors to further you adventure. There are also a few enemies that need to be trapped or avoided. These follow the pattern sections are best played with the keyboard, it was too slow with a controller.

The graphics are fantastic and reminiscent in style to Human fall flat. The OST and sounds effects are equally good.

There were a few minor quibbles, the main menu was a little hard to use, selecting was a little haphazard and one of the checkpoints really should have been after solving the door pattern puzzle, not before. Just minor inconsequential stuff.

Don't expect more than 20-25mins out of this but at the price, it's a high quality enjoyable game with room clearly for more episodes. Can't wait.

As much as I like the game play of D:OS2 I have some gripes with the game in general, pretty much the same as with the first one. Everything feels like a joke, like I mean everything has that "wink wink nudge nudge" kind of feeling so I don't take it seriously. I'm not immersed in the world that I'm usually with crpgs.

Im "just" 50h into it, so maybe I will change my mind somewhat later.

well ok then :p it's nothing awfully exciting ... but i guess it's always nice to share :)

STATS:

[Hidden content]
Free games getting attention is expected. But also not leading to 1:1 conversion into active posters.
On that, lurkers make up for the majority of users on era and old-gafI believe, so that's pretty normal too.
I do slack on following this Steam thread though, gotta admit. But I want to make new threads at least.
A small core, few dozen, of very active members is all it needs to make the place feel super alive.
Discord's vapid nature makes it easier to converse, so it won't be easy.
Overall, good progress for a passion-based community effort.

nice find Mor
Take a fantastical journey — fly the desert and build your domain. Airborne Kingdom uniquely blends city management and exploration, with a world and lore all its own. Build housing, gather food, satisfy needs, and grow your tribe. Maintain lift, discover resources, and explore the desert for lost technologies.

With a randomly-generated desert, every playthrough changes, along with your city and its values. Will you create a balloon flotilla connected by ropes and based on faith, or a winged metropolis focused on entertainment, or will steam-powered fans fly your kingdom as you search for answers in the stars?

The city, your journey, their lives — all of it is up to you to decide.

KEY FEATURES
  • Design and build your flying domain, from a single bobbing fan, to a sprawling Airborne Kingdom
  • Attract migrants from the desert tribes below, each with their own distinct wants and desires
  • Set up production chains of extravagant resources, encouraging more people to move to your kingdom
  • Meet and barter with other tribes, combining their knowledge to form new technologies
  • Change your play-style every game, with a sprawling, randomly-generated map to explore

Airborne Kingdom is being developed by industry veterans Chee Fong, Fred Gareau, and Ben Wander, with an original soundtrack by Paul Aubry and Simon Desrochers, and the help of a few incredible friends.

Wow at those stats...I know I'm a terrible forum-ite (I end up lurking because of all the big brains and eloquence giving me an inferiority complex!) but I'm surprised that people sign up to a forum like this and stop visiting.

Any plans to purge totally inactive accounts, or send out emails threatening a purge at some point in the future?

Many might sign-up just to "reserve" their username. I know I do this often to all new social media things that pop-up that I never visit again.

eh, i don't think we should do that (but obviously - it's not my decision, ultimately ... it's up to everyone in here) ... if people don't want to post for whatever reason - it's not like we can for them to do it (and "we'll nuke your account if you don't start posting" is basically blackmail, lol :p)

I only mention it as I've had those messages from other forums that I've moved away from in the past. The " We've noticed that your account has been inactive for at least 6 months now. Please be aware that accounts that are inactive for a year will get automatically deleted." messages.

I wouldn't regard it as threatening more like, do you really want to be a member? Sometimes people sign up and forget that they did so, especially when those joining did so around the Christmas period.

true ... i suppose we might send out one email with a reminder or something .... but then again - a lot of people also disabled all email notifications, so ... i don't know

Finished CoD: Infinite Warfare

Overall pretty good. Still baffled by the inclusion of wall running and jetpacks. Not as agile as in Titanfall and in the campaign barely any section where you have to use them. I believe I had to wallrun twice in 8 hours. And when I did it was this awkward stomping. Felt like the mechanics weren't fully there and they didn't knew how to implement them in the level design.

If it was like that in the other CoDs, no wonder people were screaming with joy when they announced that they'll ditch it for BlOps 4.

Think I'm going to play REmake next and after that finally start with Dragon Quest XI. And one day Ima sit down and finally start Wargroove.

oh Heroine Anthem is getting sequel in Early Access (“3 to 7 months” ) :-O

Heroine Anthem Zero 2: is a 2D side-scroller Adventure RPG that supports both keyboard and controller. The story design is based on a combination of Syberian culture, Mermaid folktales, and Taiwanese tribal legends.

With a faded promise to fulfill, Shama came to Uzato to find the owner of a lost amulet. The story begins with Shama waking up from a dream, and start this mysterious journey with her companion.

Players are encouraged to play Ep.01 in order to understand the story setting, but it will not affect any gameplay experience from Ep.02.

█ GAME FEATURES █
•Vivid storytelling

With more than 100s of CGs and 2D animation, each scene is carefully aligned with both visual and audio. More than 100 stages and 100,000 words, players can truly immerse in the world of Heroine Anthem Zero.

•World-class BGM
Music composition team includes Taiwanese composer Joe Chou, Japanese composer Motoki Ohno, Tetsuya Ueda, and Shigezo Kamimura who received the Highest-Kuninomiya International Culture Award in 2013. Heroine Anthem Zero 2 continues to bring some of the best BGMs to its players.

•Unlocks different skills
As the character levels up, players have a range of skills to unlock including dodge, perry, triple jump, jump attack, and more. With the desired combination, players can have their own style of combat.

•Combat companion
There is a combat companion system in Heroine Anthem Zero 2. Combat companion levels up as the story progresses, thus unlocking more skills to activate during combat.

•Puzzle solving
There are puzzles to solve in each map. Not only are they essential for stage completion, but also hidden treasures for players to explore. Some of the hidden treasures will considerably assist the players.

•Crafting and cooking system
Players can collect loot throughout the game and craft different equipment, upgrade the weapons, or make them into a variety of food to enhance the character.

•Equipment passive skills
Weapons and armors have different passive skills. Players can choose any type of weapon depending on their combat style.

•Special event
There are different options for players to choose during conversations. Sometimes by making a different choice, there might be a special event in the game.

I don't post, but I don't really post anywhere. The reading thread is really the only Resetera thread I participate in with any regularity and participate is a generous word to use.

I do often read the latest page of the Steam threads but rarely find a reason to post, just checking what the latest shit people are talking about is.

When it comes to PC stuff I just talk to Steam friends privately.

My point I suppose is that for the things I use forums for following two is slightly pointless. I also don't contribute anything anyways.

Sorry!
