About CP2077
You honestly make a damn good point. I don't know that this is going to be representative of the whole game but this certainly was in bad taste.

I just hope there will be more subtlety to the game than this, I find it hard to put into words and I really shouldn't extrapolate from limited footage out of marketing material clearly aimed at whooping democraphics, but there is a bit too much edginess to the writing for me, even that issue aside. On the other hand, this is the studio that made TW2 and 3, and I have to hope they know their way around a story.

Still, the trans stuff was tasteless and as much as I think they should have steered clear of it if they don't have the desire to tackle it - which is their right, too - it's kind of hard to avoid in a cyberpunk setting. Mike Pondsmith has the right of it. They have no choice but to get it right and I hope the game will prove more subtle than whatever circus this has been.

Alyx not nominated for goty at tga.

Based on what Geoff said how in “90 plus organizations and influencers” decide the nomination, make me think it is a strict number count.

So, sadly, you are never gonna see something niche like a VR-only title, strategy games, simulation games, etc. ever get nominated. It's always going to be the popular, well-received, mass appeal games.

I normally do not talk about the other forum site, but if you think I made a good point. Please take a bit of time and read the OT there. It has been pinned to the top of the gaming forum. It's a well written and argumentatively well composed original post.
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I do not really wish to go and look despite the fact that I'm pretty sure I'd agree if the post was worded with empathy and sensibility in mind. That would also be quite unusual considering how I have been treated and what I have seen routinely take place there. Given the sort of bullying and schoolyard behavior that has acceptable to that community, it's not a place I feel I want to encourage even with my meager, insignificant traffic.

Sorry, but I still agree with you.

So a thought about the Embracer thing. Is it possible that their goal is to produce tons of games in order to sell them not directly to customers but to game streaming services that will be starving for exclusive content?

I don't doubt it, the Saber model of subpar remasters sold to Epic must be making bank without the need to have any player, and there's always the possibility to release it on any other store after the agreement expires, profit every turn.

Fight hard with my gaming inertia, hey let's play something !

The DS4 is disconnecting like mad.

At least I could see that the USB cable is clearly moving in the pad socket. So I don't know. Bad contact, bad cable ? I really have to buy an Xbox pad, have I ? Jeez, that's no small part of a new hardware purchase.

Steam Client Beta Update - November 18th
NOV 18 @ 7:37PM - AUSTINP_VALVE
Steam Input
  • Added additional support for the PS5 DualSense controller including LED, trackpad, rumble, and gyro functionality.
  • Added a directional swipe mode for use with trackpads and gyro
I've been a fan of directional swipe ever since DS4Windows, so this is something I've been wanting in Steam for a while. Good stuff.

Ok, I'm cursed. Hades stuttered like mad sometimes. It plays perfectly at 1440 120 on my rig and here it couldn't even do 60 constantly, with deep dives. Each time with a fucking bip from windows. What the fuck do these bip means ? Because god forbid W10 notification panel was used for something useful.
This wouldn't happen in exclusive fullscreen ? Not sure if Hades support that anyways but yeah, that's become a pet peeve of mine, fucking windows sound when I play a game. How immersion breaking and totally not stressful.

Uh, from the very little I can understand about the event panel, there were quite a lot of fuss about updating windows defender during my play session.
Could that be it ?

But isn't windows meant to update this shit when you are not playing ?

Is the trigger resistance thing covered with rumble support or is that still missing?

Still missing. Haptic feedback & adaptive triggers will no doubt take some time. Also, I'm not aware of any PC games that support this feature yet.

I think I might get PSNow. It's only $60USD for one year. There may even be a black Friday special for PS5 owners??

There are actually a good number of games on there that you can play and some of them are even downloadable on the PS5. I want to play through Killzone,God of war and suck through PSNow. Strangely enough Resistance 1-2 are not there but Resistance 3 is.

By the way I purchased a Japanese Smash Bros Gamecube adapter from Amazon. I'm hoping that's it's a genuine thing ans not a fake.

Did Nintendo release a gamecube controller adapter for N/S in Japan? That says it works with the N/S and Wii U (it doesn't mention PC but given Nintendo and all it makes sense as to why it would not be mentioned.

I mean obviously no games on PC support them (yet), but the question is will Steam Input support them so they can be mapped to existing games in some form. Naturally it won't be as comprehensive as native game support would be, but I'm sure people would find interesting uses for them all the same.

Isn't the code for the original basically hieroglyphic spaghetti and barely usable? At what point does a remaster just become a complete re-write?
Yeah it is basically just trying to untangle wet spaghetti from interviews etc

But I mean if they just throw the world etc into RDR 2's engine and like you know... do it that way instead of trying to untangle? Lol I dunno

I have my doubts they started to heavily invest in studios, starting years ago, in the hope that Google/Amazon/Whoever failed to get any traction to then try and make money off that by selling streamed games.

Will they sell games to streaming services? Probably yes, if it makes sense for them to earn money and they are offered a wheelbarrow of cash,, they'll even sell some to EGS as well if they think it makes sense.
They just want to expand like pretty much everyone else except they have the means to do so apparently, their grand plan is simply to earn more money.

Speaking of TGA, I hope there will be free games on Twitter like last year. If so, since the show will start at 1 a.m. here, I will set my alarm clock early to get the remaining codes. Last year, I snatched Gris and Pedro, and only missed the Disco Elysium codes (which is not a big fuss because I own the game 👌).

And I finished both games.

It's nice to see how quickly Steam has moved to support the DualSense already,
Now I'm just waiting DS4Windows to get to the same level,

Canard PC is not part of the French jury for TGA. I am disappointed. GameKult is not either. It feels like money/dorritos are involved somehow.

Hades is nominated in many categories.

The only other game with as many nominations (8) is The Last of Us.
