I played the first Pocket City on both mobile and Steam – and the second one on mobile and was hoping for a PC release ever since it came out; glad thats happening... and soon, too, if the Q1/2025 release date is correct. Interesting interview as well – I think this dev could make more money on Steam with more/better marketing; its one of those games that could do fairly well on Steam, I feel...if more people knew it existed

PSA: For anyone who dropped Girls' Frontline 2 before or is interested to start playing the game, the BEST unit so far (in terms of damage output) is coming to global this week. There isn't a better time to jump in.

See you in the OT!

Apparently M200 is being teased for an upcoming patch on the Chinese server too.

Yikes didn't expect that price... 49,99 max (for Switch at that, cheaper for other sellers/versions). Guess that's the new norm and this is even considered reduced.

  • 7.1% of the total hours spent were on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive / Counter-Strike 2
  • 6.4% were in League of Legends
  • 6.2% were in Roblox
  • 5.8% were in Dota 2
  • 5.4% were in Fortnite

Curious what their methodology is because at one point League of Legends alone was bigger than the entirety of Steam and AFAIK it's still massive in China. I know some of their reports only track US and Europe and if that's the case for this report then yeah I can see CS being at the top.

After Valhalla, Origins and Odyssey, I will buy Shadows down the line. Shadows also seems somewhat undercooked, should have been a few months longer in the oven.

Unless it's from a place like Steam that offers refunds, Im never pre-ordering a digital game, especially on console.

A little website change to go along with the Steam release. Hmmmm. :thinking-face:

if you go back further with archiveorg — World of Goo 2 — you get some more lovely FAQ quotes where they really appreciate their audience;

But I want to play it on my heavy computer that's strapped to my face and sprays pixels into my eyeballs.
Don't see your favorite platform listed? Don't worry. Throw your other platforms in the trash, and get it from one of the above!

What platforms or consoles will it be on? Can I play it on my-
Dandy Wheeler, PR specialist: Yes, let's enjoy this moment, right now, where anything is possible. Can you play it on your 2004 Discman? Maybe. Let's just let the vast expanse of uncertainty fill our hearts with wonder, while we fill our bank accounts with exclusive distribution contracts.

Ah, World of Goo 2, the sequel to one of the first indie megahits that everyone forgot about.

What the heck were they doing to need an EGS contract? Surely they had money from the first game, right?

108% over Steam standard regional pricing

ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT PERCENT.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, LEVEL5?!

Hilariously, the Steam regional price is actually MORE than what it costs in the US region, lol. :money-mouth-face:

Level 5 doesn't really have any experience in Steam publishing, so its not surprising to see them step on this particular rake (Lollipop Chainsaw Remastered had a similar situation, iirc).

nice. :cat-heart-blob::drinking-blob:

Why do these people hate money so much?
I've got to imagine there's a cash deal involved. I'm just happy no one is taking the bait. They tried the "you get to actually own your games on GOG" line a while back.

You can't tell your fans that the sequel depends on the success of this game, while skipping out on the biggest platform. It doesn't make much sense. Good luck, though.
