This is going to hit me right in the feels isn't it?

The game looks really interesting, I'd be all over it if I could afford it.

I'm really interested in this game but i'll need to watch the gameplay videos before making a decision. I don't know if can deal with a multi-hour escort mission no matter how fancy it looks.

I haven't really been paying attention to it but it seems like this game fully takes place in the real world and it looks fantastic! I've been asking for games for the longest time that take place in the real world without any kind of magic, scifi and things like that.

Now that it's close to release, I'll start paying attention.

For some reason, this game gives me a Kingdom Come: Deliverance vibe, which I avoided because of one of those devs' shady opinions on...certain topics.

I don't want this game to be sullied in that fashion.

I followed this game for a while (and just this week preordered it via Fanatical, where it cost €37), because it ticks a lot of boxes for me: stealthy, compact single player campaign (no open world etc), intrigueing story & setting (medieval), no combat apart from stealth kills as far as I can tell.
The escort mission stuff on the other hand, that seemed .... less like something I love playing. But I saw a recent gameplay trailer that has Amicia on her own, so I assume you don't have to babysit the boy all the time. And even if you do, if they do it well, it can be OK - like in BioShock Infinite or Shadwen. Those games had really well done companion AI.

me neither! I really hope it it will turn out to be a good one. Everything points towards that, but we'll have to wait and see :)
BTW I also liked how the dev stated clearly that the game will stay on Steam, something that I value a lot in the time of EGS existing.

awesome! thanks for the link

You're welcome! I see more and more of those threads pop up, it's becoming seemingly obligatory to ask about any new game appearing on Steam if it's actually gonna release there too. Always good to see devs react and assure.

yeah ... it's really good "exclusivity" is becoming a dirty word (on PC at least)

Game's looking really good! Very tempted (especially at $36 from DLGamer) to pick it up. The problem is that I really shouldn't be buying more games day one right now :thinking-face:

Gorgeous graphics and art style to match but the incredibly
outlandish and supernatural
direction the story takes in the last few chapters completely soured the game for me given that's the main focus with such simple gameplay.
