I have played the game for the first time for about three hours with some friends and this game is rock solid. The focus on cooperation to succeed is absolutely top notch, many of the abilites from each char is designed to help the team. Actually, there are very few offensive abilities in the roster.

The Respawn team has certainly picked elements from very successful games to create something really engaging and for players of every skill.

So I think it would be nice to have a nice and cozy corner to talk about the game, share some tips, stories...

Don't sleep on Pathfinder, the mobility the ziplines gives and access to walls, hills and roofs not accessible to other characters is great.

I played the game again today after getting the free skin and loot boxes from Twitch Prime and got my first win! I was definitely carried by my teammates. I love the options the game gives you to communicate without voice. Ping enemy locations, ping loot, ping map locales, etc. Its great.

BTW if you have Twitch Prime (which is Amazon Prime linked to your Twitch account) you get free stuff for Apex right now (also free games in their terrible Twitch client).

Oh lord this. I started playing Pathfinder more over the last two days and once the grapple clicks, it's outstanding. No other character really like it as far as closing distance, flanking, surprising a squad by grapple swinging right up to and behind them. It feels awesome.

Wraith was my go to for creating sneak attacks and now you see my now you don't moments but Pathfinder does just as well at it in his own way. Love it.

Yesterday after a rough set of games I decided to check some recommended mouse sensitivity. So I set the mouse on 800 dpi on my logitech 502 and 3.5 unscoped and 1.0 scoped ingame. It made tracking the objective better so try to tinker with sensitivity if you feel it's difficult to track enemies.

I'm totally in love with this game. Unlike most squad-based shooters I don't feel this huge pressure to perform when my mates go down because I can still bring them back and even if we all die getting back into the game only takes a moment. After playing Pathfinder a bunch I unlocked Caustic and have been sticking with him since. Very situational and I forget to use my ult way too often but it's super satisfying when you catch people with traps and finish them off.
Wingman with Digital Threat is by far my favorite weapon so far.

It feels so good when you respawn your teammates from the respawn station and you are back in the game, full squad ready :D

Thankfully the gold mag will probably be rare like the barrel mod.. well, unless it's in the replicator I suppose. So I can see the mag being a good addition. Sure it will make lmg's even bigger bullet hoses than they already are and giving a few extra shots to someone that's good with a wingman is a frightening thought but it will also help to make a couple weapons a little more viable. We'll have to see how it works of course and I'm sure it will get adjusted over time.

And agreed on Fuse and the repeater, both look great! I'm curious to find out how the repeater will compare to the G7. I'm also glad to see King's Canyon making a return and Bangalore getting a great looking skin. Looking forward to playing more as her again. :blobcheer:

Oh absolutely! Just from the short clip it looks like a lot of fun to use.

I was thinking more damage wise since it will kind of fill the same role but also looks to fire faster. I have to assume it has a smaller mag too so I can't imagine the damage is too much lower, if at all. But in the end it will all come down to putting it in the right hands and that's the exciting part. Testing and seeing if a new weapon works for you. :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Oh I believe that its going to hit hard. These weapons never goes soft!

Seriously though, those abilities look amazing. Combining Fuse's ult with Bangalore, Gibraltar or Caustic's could be devastating in the right spot.

The servers this season are utter garbage

I lost hope that the audio will get fixed but the servers? God damn
 
This game is in a weird spot. It's fun to play, but it's filled with issues. I was eagerly waiting for Season 9 and the big changes it was supposed to bring because I mostly play Lifeline, but her ultimate is simply trash. Now it is confirmed that instead of giving her a new ultimate, they will just buff it. No matter what they do to that ultimate, it won't be good, it serves no purpose when there are so many means to get good loot like the explosive holds, marvins, vaults, etc. and with the introduction of Evo shields, it's not that hard to get a purple shield. Loba's Black Market is infinitely better ultimate than Lifeline's. Not only that, they are removing the only thing that makes her a somewhat good pick, which is a rez shield.

Besides that, I already accepted that we will never get fixed audio or better servers.

Hopefully they'll remove the low profile from her and also good to know that her CP is getting buffed alongsde her healing drone

Lifeline is still arguably the better support compared to Loba due to all of her abilities helping the team. I agree that the Black Market is extremely useful especially now that she can take from care packages but I've found it to be far riskier to use than Lifeline's package whether it's my market or an enemy just placed one.

The package you can grab and go whereas even if you're quick with the market you're still spending time there and giving away your position with each item you take. And given the high number of Horizons, Octanes and Wraiths or even the occasional Pathfinder in each round chances are a good team will be in your face in no time.

Plus an underrated perk to the Lifeline package is that it provides permanent cover. I've gotten a decent amount of success out of doing just that.

Sadly I doubt they'll remove low profile from her anytime soon since she's one of the smallest characters but it would be a good change depending on how much the upcoming round of changes affects her.

It's always a bummer seeing nerfs or little change. I had started playing a lot of Caustic prior to season 8 and well.. we know how that went. :LOL:

I've enjoyed trying out new legends in the meantime however and getting back to playing Bangalore more even if they did accidentally nerf her smoke for a while. And I can see the servers improving eventually, not as fast as we would like I'm sure, but it'll happen. The audio though.. I doubt. That's been my biggest issue too. It's so frustrating when you're in Hydroponics on Olympus and can't tell if someone is above or below you in some spots.

There are some shots here that show new Olympus and probably a glimpse of a new character using a jetpack.

I hope they take my boy Prowler out of the package drop. As for the bow, I have mixed feelings, partially because they already introduced medium ranged weapon in Season 8.
