Thanks to deep dive (seriously, thanks AI, I think we might never have found this one without it), yesterday a friend and I found Death Crown while looking for more unusual local co-op games.
Really, just watch the trailer:
It's pretty much exactly like it looks. A single-screen RTS with a really nice 1-bit graphics style.
Some notable features:
The game is actually significantly more involved than you might think based o nthe fact that there are only really 3 building types. Especially later on in Domination, it's quite remarkable how much tactical potential there is just in timing, placement, and how it relates to the map structure. Oh, and the interface showing you unit movements and paths is actually really good.
Check out the world map for the campaign:
There are also a lot of future upgrades planned, but I think what's there already easily justufues the asking price if you're into this kind of thing.

Some notable features:
- It has a story-driven campaign (with cutscenes and some special "boss" challenges!), that can also be played entirely in coop! (it takes around 1.5 hours to complete)
- There's also a really cool "pro" game mode called Domination, with a Tarot-inspired interface, a scoring mechanic and seasonal leaderboards.
- And a versus mode.
