It looks cool, although didn't really show a whole lot, I don't care about the big kaiju combat lol, those extra stuff from Bayo games are always just kind of glorified cutscenes and more spectacle than something I actually care about, but as long as the core gameplay is fun, I'm in.

I still haven't finished Bayo 2 on non stop climax, I do like the two Bayo games, but I think the two are kind of "samey" especially if you already played the hell out of one of them.

After watching the trailer for a few times, I don't mind the kaiju fights as well. Looks like the Dpad is used to assign different moves of the kaijus. Personally I think it is a pretty good addition to the game, as you have said, they really need to create something new for the sequel rather than revising the same formula.
