Corposant Part 1 done. A quick and easy read.

Story-wise, not a lot happened yet but the writing is excellent. Impeccable pacing, concise and smooth dialogues (having Voymastina helps lol), and some great characterizations of both new and old characters.

Very curious on the upcoming story development. The commander should arrive in Lviv in the next part, so they should hear the news of NOFMA/Kalina/Helena soon. On the other hand, I doubt Alva can take on Igla alone so what will happen to her? Last but not least, it's heavily implied that Helena is going to be used for opening the "gate" (of Relics)? Oh shit.

Btw, another Menhera evil woman / Nyto? Okay, sure why not!

Also, tons of name drops. Kevin / J, Mona and Anna hello??? I expect to see them soon. You hear me, Mica?

Edit: AND those fight scenes were really hyped.

Finished Corposant part 1. Great animated scenes, great pacing basically no time wasted, good characterization and mysteries. The early scenes with the other doll groups gave all th background the player needed to understand what the situation a Lviv is before the scene moves to focus only on DEFY. Really curious to see how the most military focused doll will have to adapt to protecting a little girl. Best moment was Voymastina stopping Igla's spear with one hand, incredible scene. However this first part feels like a prologue to the real meat. Doesn't help the lack of minigames basically means there is basically nothing to do until part 1.5 opens next week. I honestly feel part 1.5 should have been available since the first day, and maybe Corposant as a whole should have been shortened by 1 or 2 weeks, but I guess they didn't want to accelerate too much
Also, well it's a bit weird to say this about a game with multiple cases of sci-fi supertechnology, but an entire military squadron or advanced combat ready mechs with perfect stealth, leaving no thermal/spatial/infrared readings at all, capable of making no noises while wiping out 2 trained military squads, fully immune to any electrical interference, impossible to see or perceive by any other normal doll unless they have the correct password, and on top of it also having the backup of a super special radiactive hallucinogen made specifically so humans that inhale it also become incapable of seeing these super duper droids maybe it's a bit too much. Like this is Layton level of bullshit

Yeah, I didn't expect Part 1 to be such a short read, knowing that the whole Corposant story is the longest GFL event ever. It really felt like a prologue. Would have been nicer if they just released 1 and 1.5 together.

Those stealthy bots and gas are complete BS. Girard can do whatever they want with these techs. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

In dusty story Dush, off from the top of my head, Dush was caught and memory-wiped by Girard, I'm sure that we will learn more about her when Helen arrives. I should read her MOD stories, too.

All right, the past 2 Artifact Recovery seasons were just a bland repetitive autobattler, but this new one is completely worth it (even if I still autoed every battle)

Yes!!! I was playing as Leva & Lenna and the conversations aren't too funny, but the screenshots I saw (mostly Cheeta being Cheeta) and the opening scene (how Springfield sold the commander) are absolutely hilarious. They did good with this round of Artifact Recovery.

Finished Corposant 1.5. Great, amazing even. Still well written, still great characterization, still great mystery. This part features a similar story structure to the first 1 with the story focusing on different groups at the start (in this case the commander) to give the player a better idea on what's actually going on behind the scenes, before moving back to DEFY for the ending part. There are however two pretty big pacing problem in my opinion. The first is the start: 3 lenghty story nodes one after another is too much. Make no mistake, I liked reading them, but it's really too much. Honestly some of the plotless battles from part 1 could have been sprinkled in between them, and I still think part 1 and 1.5 should have just been one single part. The second pacing issue is in the middle with Alva's neural torture and the absurdity of "wait, your super special system let's you survive this torture without issues? Let's try again for the lulz". Repeating the whole thing twice was just a waste of time, and even all her allucinations and Alva speaking with "Ange", "RPK" and "AK-12" again that all could have been combined into something that gets resolved faster
However the payoff for the ending was totally worth it, and in the end Alva really beat Igla in her own way. Guess it's true the more powerful third-gen dolls become the more juvenile they get. Everything went exactly as planned and I can't wait for the moment she will fulfill her last promise to Chiloveig
Well, outside of trusting Voymastina with Helena, but even there it's obvious Chiloveig is not as smart as she thinks she is, and even Voy prepared a back-up just in case, so we will see what happens
Also there is no chance Orphelune will survive the event. I know my plot filled with suffering well enough

I stopped right after Alva got dragged into the "dream" because I want to catch up on Zero Charge from GFL1 first. Going to have a ton to read in the next 2-3 weeks. Meanwhile, I'm very happy with what I read so far, and now (un-)patiently waiting to see some Orphelune fanarts. God she's adorable. An innocent grown-up in my GFL? Please please please nothing horrible happens to her (but who am I kidding?

I'm glad that I read the first 2 nodes and took a night off before continuing. Yeah, that was a lot.

The ending was pretty tense, so I immediately started 1.5 thinking it'll pick up from where part 1 left off right away, but apparently they had something else in mind. :flare_think:
