Something On The Horizon

  • Explore uncharted new lands as you set foot on a remote island seeping with magic, and filled with riches, lost secrets, and fantastic creatures.
  • Forge this new world’s destiny, as you befriend or betray companions and entire factions. With diplomacy, deception and force, become part of a living, evolving world - influence its course and shape your story.
  • GreedFall is an RPG to its core, with an emphasis on freedom in both character development and how you proceed through the world.
  • Choose your gender, customize your appearance and select a few starting attributes, building from there to create your own playstyle. The classless progression system lets you tap various branches from an extensive skill tree and create your own skill synergies. With over a hundred skills to choose from, along with thousands of combinations of equipment, you forge your very own experience.

De Sardet is Your Hero:

includes in-depth character customization, allowing players to choose their gender and physical appearance. At the beginning, you'll also choose your starting class from one of three options - Warrior, Technical and Magic - each has its own starting skills, recommended attributes and recommended talents.

players can mix and match attributes and skills within all three classes, so the starting choice is mostly about what might make things easier at start. The game also has a deep crafting system with hundreds of customizable pieces of equipment, clothing and armor - which allows you to tailor your look and stats to suit your own playstyle.

A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed:

In GreedFall, situations are not always resolved by spilling blood. The wits of you and your companions are just as important as your prowess with a blade, and wise diplomacy, stealth, science or a well-used skill may negate the need for combat.

In GreedFall, there are five companions which you can take on your journey, two of which you can have in your party at once. Each with their own archetypal style, they will help you out in combat and on diplomatic missions. They all have their own opinions and faction they are linked to, so it would be wise to consider their personality and loyalties before you act. Develop your relationship further and perhaps your friendship will blossom to romance! including same sex options aswell.. Negotiating ransoms and using the right intuition option in conversations will also help players progress - and you'll also need to be mindful of the companions you take with you on quests as their decisions may not necessarily be your preferred option.

Skills And Character Development:

Customize your abilities from a large skill tree of over 80 skills, choosing between crushing your enemies with giant weapons, luring them into traps, crippling them with poisoned blades, blasting them with magic, or a mix that suits your playstyle.

Your talents allow you to engage with and explore the world around you, be it through lockpicking, diplomacy, or athletics. If you prefer to focus on your equipment, you can also decide to put points into crafting, or your ability to find special items in the wild.

Players can gain skill points by leveling up the character level players will need to defeat enemies bosses, and by completing various quests, you can also find hidden alters in the world for a skill point too. by leveling up you also recieve attribute points aswell.

Me, My Friends And Fashion:

Put points into crafting and you will be able to customise and enhance several aspects of each piece of equipment, from blade, to hilt, to pommel, changing both the way the item looks and its stats.

Using materials found in the wild and in cities, you can also use science to craft potions, traps, and poisons for an assortment of no doubt devious purposes.

you can also customise all sorts from colours to what cape you have and mix and match.

Everybody Freeze:

GreedFall features a unique Tactical Pause Option, which allows players to pause the game mid fight and select from your Actions, Spells, Techniques and Potions to choose key items and skills to claim victory. Better still, the pause option has unlimited time and allows you to pan around the battle to get a better look at what you're up against, your enemy's
level/rank and their current health status.

Teer Fradee Is An Island Full Of Promises:

The world of GreedFall and its visual identity draw heavily from 17th century Europe. The architecture, costumes, weaponry, ambiance all take root in this period of history dominated by exploration, scientific discoveries, and booming culture in general.

The world of GreedFall is not entirely down-to-earth. You will explore an immense island seeping with magic. Its lands, inhabited by magic-wielding locales and fantastical creatures, hide countless mysteries and secrets awaiting to be discovered.

full of wilderness and new environments to explore. Forests, mountains, swamps, and cities will draw you in, but keep a wary eye out for the many strange creatures that prowl there.

I'm trying to wait for reviews before pulling the trigger, but things like this OT are not helping :p

I have to keep my expectations in check because of the budget, but everything until now looks so good for this game.

There's going to be so many cool screenshots people make with the real time pause during mid combat stuff if I'm assuming a way to turn off the ui or just a screenshot mode
Yeah, I hope they include a way to turn off the UI during tactical pause from the get go, as you said it's perfect for screenshots.

Poor Era mods got a such a massive hate hard-on for MC. It's almost sad.
