haven't seen the film yet (and probably won't for a good while) ... but i always like seeing stories like that - a (relatively) small budget film no exec thought would make any money doing exceptionally well ... Deadpool was another one of those in recent memory

The film only opens next week where I live, but I'll be sure to give it a go. :)

I love 80's horror, I grew up with pretty much yearly entries of franchises such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Phantasm, and more, so hopefully the box office success of the new Halloween will bring back some of these properties, with actual sequels instead of yet another wave of reboots.

A new A Nightmare on Elm Street sequel, with Robert Englund back as Freddy Krueger, would be pretty much the dream.
