Ronin + Stellar Blade... shit, that's a dangerous line of thoughts.
Even more so when Apple is unveiling its new ipads soon and mine is currently charging with a remote as weight to keep the cable at the right angle.

NO! bad Li Kao, bad!
I know. Outside of two timed exclusives, what is the point ?

I will now spare you the melodramatics about chasing the past and the dearly departed.
There was nothing there, now it's nothing but holes.

Thinking about it, I'm not even sure how I could play on an hypothetical PS5.

Gonna wait on playing Pacific Drive until I get a new PC. Getting 20-30 fps with everything maxed out. Liked the game so far, so that's good.

Just to remember, my PC is this summer 8 years old, GPU utilization is at 99% and my GPU is the GTX 1080.

Im honestly suprised I've so far only come across 2 games that have not been playable for me at maxed out settings, Pacific Drive and Starfield.

I know I can downgrade the settings, but I really liked the look of the game.

You buy a ps5 for something like Rebirth not the next mid team ninja game that is rehashing the same one they put out like 6 years ago for the...fifth time? I can't even keep track anymore.

Thing i don't understand is

Butts and boobs on Twitch = Fine.
Butts and boobs in games = Not Fine.
On Twitch, the women themselves decide how they want to dress. In games, the characters usually aren't designed by women who want to express themselves in such a way but by men who are horny or want to pander to a horny audience. I don't have an issue either way, I quite like looking at pretty ladies but that's the difference as I understand it.

You don't buy a PS5 for Rebirth anyways.

Or as I call it, Final Fantasy VII: Follow the Men in Robes.

These days (well, for many years now really), I can't even get into the mindset I had back when I actually bought consoles for exclusives.

It's not that I can't get excited about games anymore, I absolutely can, but it's just so incredibly easy for me to simply focus on the (already far too many) games I could play right now to worry about the vanishingly few that I can't. (If I even wanted to play any of them; If I had a PS5 right now I'd still be playing Dragon's Dogma on my PC and Trails on the Steam Deck)

Anyway, due to the posts above I looked up some Stellar Blade images. And now I can tell you that the core difference in the sex appeal between Stellar Blade and Nier Automata is that 2B is actually appealing.

I don't even think a Bloodborne Remaster or remake could get me to buy a console.

Well, mainly due to I have played the game already to death on would only get it on PC nowadays.

Yeah, I keep thinking "Should I just cave and buy Rebirth on PS5?" Then I think "Nah." and I play Dogma 2 on PC, or other shit like fucking Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments lol

It'll come to PC eventually, and they'll get my money then (at a reduced price)

Buy it and have one the saddest yet memorable moments in gaming history ruined by Nomuras Kingdom Hearts shenanigans.

They just could not put their fingers in an already written story and muddle it up with shit.

Not to shit on the game, it made my list of 'what the hell could I play on this useless machine', but I certainly wouldn't buy a PS5 for Rebirth.
I guess this is more of a buy by a thousand couple of games, anyway. There is a decent number of games I could play on it now. Most of them will assuredly come to PC in the next 6 months to one year.
Ok, maybe not Unicorn Overlord, but that's Vanillaware for you. Even more dumb than Square.

I've already had it installed on my Steam Deck for a while. Works great there. Would have given Vanillware money as I own all their previous games and finished all of them except Muramasa and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir. But this time they need to put the game on PC for me to give them my money. Until then,

I think this is indeed a big reason for the reduced quantity and effectiveness of exclusives. There are so many good games coming out every month that it's really hard to feel any sort of FOMO over any single one.

I'm sure Stellar Blade will come to PC after 6 - 12 months or somewhere between. Could be longer but I doubt it. Also in the original reveal trailer for Stellar Blade when it was called Project Eve it stated that the game was going to come out on PC, Playstation, and Xbox. That changed due to the exclusivity deal signed with Sony.

I mean horny art that pops up on my Tweeter feed now and then is mostly made by female artists. If is saw it correctly Stellar Blade main character was designed by female artist. And Yoko Taro can come out and say "I like pretty women" in response to 2B and everyone is fine with that. What I am trying to say is that kinda double standards are everywhere and in the end goal for each and every of those cases (Twitch, games, twitter art...) is to sell something.

Eh, no fictional character has agency so they're all "victims" of someone trying to make a sellable book/game/movie/whatever then, being sexy isn't different. It does mean the game has to be really good for me to care when it's reaching this hard for the audience that will lap it up regardless. That may kinda go against what I said earlier about an Onechanbara game but to me that was way more campy & fun than desperately pornhub-like as seen here and in Vindictus 2. Maybe it's partially because of the gap in visual quality but it matters too, graphics choices could also take a horror themed game to body horror territory...

Dragon's Dogma 2 is one of the best 6/10 games I've ever played. The game has a laundry list of flaws, but I can't stop playing it. It has to be doing something right.

Yeah, I've heard people say the ending is pretty bad but I need to experience it myself

Is this a bug?

A friend added me on his old family share a long time ago. This was before the new family share was introduced. After the new one was introduced I told him to remove me from his old family share. But I can still see his game on my Steam library. Did Valve forget the old family share?

What they're doing now is way more interesting, assuming they stick the landing and that's the big gamble. People want instant payoffs nowadays and asking them to keep waiting 3-4 years for the payoff is a hard sell.

They're setting it up for cloud to be even more batshit than he was in the original game and for his big moment in the lifestream to not only be about finding himself but accepting what happened in rebirth, which is also where the feels would hit for the player. Again IF they can pull it off it will be so much more impactful

Or they could just let the story be and not fuck with it.

Are people who don't want to get spoiled on Rebirth going to have to avoid this thread?

Even after all these years if Square did indeed release the Kingdom Hearts games on Steam next month I would pick them up.

They would have to all be bundled for a good price. No more than 60$.

I still want them for my Deck. I would really love if they managed to push out FXVI as well in the next couple of months.

I would skip Ghost of Tsushima for either of those two tbh.

Nomura's been catching strays meant for Nojima for close to 30 years now. He wasn't even that involved with rebirth he's been working on part 3 since 2022 lol.

That sounds about right for me, combat is not that deep but fun, changing vocations keeps it fresh for a while and most importantly it rewards you for going out and exploring. I might even be inspired to have a go at the first one again since i never played the expansion, it certainly hits the spot for me.

A full list of negatives would be rather long though and from looking at the game i would assume capcom didn't give them the biggest budget so they had to make some tough choices about where to put their resources.
