Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Streum On Studio have announced fast-paced first-person shooter Necromunda: Hired Gun for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam). It will launch on June 1.

Navigate an ocean of crime and corruption to balance the bloody ecosystem of Necromunda as a merciless hired gun. The money’s good, the dog’s loyal, and the gun’s reliable – but can you survive the hunt? Necromunda: Hired Gun is an indie fast-paced, violent, and thrilling FPS set in the darkest reaches of Warhammer 40,000’s most infamous hive city.

For the right price, eliminate the most notorious gangers and mutants. Your armory is a sprawling arsenal. Your body is enhanced with a dozen customizable augments to run on walls and leap over chasms. Your cyber-mastiff will sniff out and kill enemies for you, while your grappling hook allows quick, agile traversal of the massive environments.

  • An indie fast-paced FPS in the Warhammer 40,000 universe
  • Upgrade and fight alongside your loyal cyber-mastiff
  • Endless weapon and augment customisation
  • Upgrade, advance, and level up as you collect bounties

Necromunda: Hired Gun is fast-paced and brutal, giving you endless options on how to engage your enemies. Wall-run, double-jump, use your wrist-mounted grappling hook to rush towards, disarm, or avoid enemies - and that’s before your upgrades. Everything from your brain to your legs to your pet dog can be enhanced as you gather money from your contracts.

Your cyber-mastiff is your only true companion - half-dog, half-robot, and ready to kill for you in exchange for treats. He warns you of enemies, can insta-kill them with a bite to the neck, and generally watches your back. In return, you can keep him hale and healthy with the best augments money can buy.

Pick your contracts. Hunt your targets. Collect the bounty.

You gain brouzouf.
Your legs are ok.

I enjoyed watching Space Hulk Deathwing videos as some of the lore orientated channels had streams where their friends would do most of the fighting while the streamer tried to highlight details and interesting things in the hulk maps. I didn't play it as it's a co-op focused game and no-one i know would want to play it and i was more interested in the exploring anyway.

EYE: Divine Cybermancy was an extremely ambitious, cool and incomprehensible game. I liked it, but it was weird as hell.

It had great weapons, extremely large maps, possibility to customize your loadout to the minute detail, layers and layers of mechanics and systems, lore that was interesting but also hard to get a grip of, a story that was total gibberish.

I remember when I was playing it, and I thought I had a grip on what organization you were part of, and who the "bad guys" you were fighting against were. A few minutes later, it seemed you were not part of that organization, or maybe it was divided into two different organizations?
No matter, I need to to hack this turret with a weird minigame. Oops, now an alien xenomorph suddenly appeared out of thin air and attacked me. And what was the purpose of this mission on this map again? Who knows?
OK, so stealth is out the window as soon as one enemy has seen me? Good to know...

Etc. etc. etc.

It's hard to condense if it was a good game, or a bad game. It had so many concepts and things going on, so all I can say is that E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy is definitely a ....... game! :coffee-blob:

Introduce yourself at Martyr’s End, the hub of all the action, contracts, and factions in your little corner of Necromunda. There you’ll meet everyone from Kal Jericho, the infamous bounty hunter who saved your life, to the local barmaid, who will keep you well stocked with information and liquor supplements. It’s also where you gear up, upgrade your bionic augments, customise your character, and decide on your next contract. Even your Mastiff knows where to find treats in this place!

Introduce yourself at Martyr’s End, the hub of all the action, contracts, and factions in your little corner of Necromunda. Select your contract, prepare your loadout and track down your target across one of the several dark and twisted areas of the Hive. Nothing comes easy in Hired Gun, fighting and even trailing targets will put the best bounty hunters to the test. Use your grappling hook and wall running abilities to close in on your prey across rotting agri-farms, industrious chemlabs and ancient strongholds. Then, assisted by your loyal Mastiff, unleash a ballet of destruction to complete your contract in style before returning to Martyr’s End for a celebratory drink and a round of upgrading your weapons and armor.

Upgrade and augment your arsenal to take on the Hive’s toughest contracts

From a signature power knife to rocket launchers and graviton gun, everything can be useful to make a living within the ever-growing conflict between factions in the Hive. After each action-intensive mission, take the time to exchange loot and rewards for cyber-augments to yourself, your arsenal and your dog. Grow in power and soon enough, become your target’s unstoppable worst nightmare.
