Why did I bought this barely one month ago on a Switch. :suicide-blob:

Glad to see it coming to PC though, it would be a shame if this game was stuck on a single platform forever.

Here's hoping for 4K support and unlocked frame-rates. Also I wanna see how certain ReShade options will mess with the effects of this old-style game. I wonder if artificial scanlines will hurt or help the Art for example...

I was hyped for this game but then I started reading opinions of users that finished the game instead of all the reviews and... there is quite a difference.

My interest is more from a business perspective, given that the Switch version was published by Nintendo outside of Japan. It does make me wonder whether the two Marvelous projects that Nintendo are publishing outside of Japan (No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again and Daemon X Machina) are possibilities for a PC port down the line.

Checking, and the official websites for both games doesn't list Nintendo among the companies involved with the game, Heck, Daemon's site a subdomain of Marvelous' Japanese site.

I think it depends on the relationship Nintendo has with the company. They let Sega put Bayonetta's Japanese VA on the PC release, despite being funded by them.

I get the impression that Marvelous and Nintendo has had a good relationship with each other, given that they managed to get Senran Kagura announcements into Nintendo Directs (albeit Japan only), plus Rune Factory 4 Special and Rune Factory 5 announcements globally.

Whether that converts into not doing PC ports, I wouldn't know. I did raise an eyebrow at a lack of a PC version of Senran Kagura Peach Ball, for example.

In case of Marvelous I think it's just them not having enough resources for a multiplatform release on PC yet, they have slowly been ramping up the support on the steam forums.

Xseed Executive VP said Shinovi versus did "extremely well".
Marvelous Inc. (the japanese company) noted in their quarterly report how Senran Kagura Estival Versus was having strong back catalog sales, since then their support for PC has been on rise, so both the japanese and the western branch of the company are aware of the franchise strength on the platform.

Senran Kagura Series Sold Over 1.65 Million Copies Worldwide; Peach Beach Splash Keeps Selling Well

On the western market, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns for 3DS and Senran Kagura: Estival Versus for PC, performed “strongly” with catalog sales, despite having been released in the previous fiscal year.
