2018 was a kickass year for gaming in general, but as is the case with this hobby, we all gotta deal with having too many games and not enough time to play them.
Non the less, this thread aims to make note of the various releases of 2018 that were well received by many players and to bring to light any that would've gone under your radar or hadn't yet picked up in a recent sale.

The following list showcases titles released between January 2018 and October 2018.

If you want to spread the word about a game from 2018 in the hopes of spreading more awareness of it to your peeps on Steam, just go to your main activity page

Tag a game and Post about it.

BTW if anyone's got a custom tag Wing Diver that doesn't show the spider, I'd greatly appreciate it :3

What a great year it's been, even if I forgot a couple of those came out in 2018.

Thanks for doing all that, helps remind me I need to play some of them.

I need a better banner for DQ11 @o@ Might steal a custom one from the other forum and resize it, cuz the default one is just...hella lame :V

EDIT: BTW feel free to link to any notable 2018 release between Jan and October that I overlooked. The Council itself was a last minute addition :V

Dang, you put a lot of effort into creating this.
So many good games!

Only game of 2018 I played is DQ:XI for an hour
Gotta wait a couple years until the stuff I want gets bundled.

I'll be playing this year's games for at least another 2 years. There has truly never been a better time to be a gamer.

I just wishlisted a bunch of games from your December highlights... Guess I'll go through this thread tomorrow and add a bunch more stuff! Curious to see how much I missed, or didn't, for all of 2018!

Thanks for all the effort you put in Tizoc! (y)

Found a lot of great games thanks to these threads. Really do appreciate the work you have put into them, despite me never replying to any of them before. Just wanted to get a word out at least once.

Thank you

That's a crazy amount of games. How do people find the time to play all that? I can't even deal with games released 10 years ago.

Ah see, I actually forgot THIS game. TOO MANY GAMES, you forget some games actually released this year :V

What's amazing is that Tizoc finished every single one of these games.
Not really no, I don't own most of them :V

Downunder.
Nice work as always, Tizoc !

'Tis has been a great year indeed for RPG.

As one who plays RPGs almost exclusively, I own most of the titles (and planning to put more into my backlog play the ones that I haven't). Trails of Cold Steel II and Dragon Quest XI are probably in my top 2, followed by Ys Celceta. Which, I admit wasn't the best Ys game but still enjoyable.

I'm keen to check out Atelier Lydie and Coven, which I heard has a fantastic localisation (which is a tall praise since it was localised by NISA)
