Looks pretty nice! If it performs well too maybe we can say Gamefreak finally got competent :p

Supersized mons look funny.

The sword & shield mons looked kinda crappy in the CG, I feel they will look nicer with the in-game art style though!

The vistas are almost Xenoblade levels of cool with the huge and tall cities, bridges, walls, coming up on the horizon or down after a hilltop.

Camera control in my Pokemon? What's going on? Shame it's only outside towns and probably dungeons too, but it's better than nothing I guess.

The Max whatever feature seems like a mix of mega evos and Z moves, both powering up your mon and improving their moves. The three turn duration is a nice compromise between the single use per battle of Z moves and the permanent state of megas (until the battle ends, that is).

That raid feature seems taken from Pokemon Go, and it looks interesting. Guess I'll have to pay for online after all...

Though it's the first thing in the Direct anyway. Love the environments.

It's low-fi in ways for sure but it definitely looks like it can proudly stand next to modern high budget HD JRPG like DQXI thanks to the design and style.

Looks pretty good overall! I was impressed by the battle animations, I hope they're that awesome for all the Pokemon, not just for the starters
