I love slow, methodical, tactical, single player/co-op games of the early Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and SWAT series mold &Ready or Not is looking damn promising after this new trailer which shows off many of the already implemented and planned features that make this so different to your average FPS:
Sadly, only the alpha is set for this year and the beta for next year so I guess we'll keep waiting. I hope the alpha's gonna be decent on its own, more fulfilling than the alphas of stuff like Onward VR that I do play but wish there was something more complete around instead. Still, with all the shit shown here I'm more convinced than ever that they can do this legacy justice, though I won't be pre-ordering or anything, we'll see when the alpha actually launches and if people I can trust their opinion find enough value in it to buy it for more reasons than supporting them. That is, ideally lacking in content more than in quality.
Edit: just saw the price for alpha access. NOPE! Not happening in my case, that's a crazy amount. But at least it's made clear that it's just for super support and not with meaningful cool stuff others who eventually buy the base game will miss out on. So that's good, I'd hate pre-order DLC shenanigans beyond some cosmetic gun skins. I guess I'll have to wait for 2020's beta to buy in if reports by then are that it's as worthwhile as it is promising!
