A tactical squad-based rogue-lite RPG set in an endless interplanetary rebellion against an evil authoritarian empire.

Fusing a reactive, tactical turn-based battle system that emphasizes interrupts and counters, with a procedurally generated and emergent mission-based campaign and an intelligent Adversary system with enemy officers that evolve and move up in the ranks, every playthrough is unique, challenging, and never the same.

Halcyon 6 was a good game, though I didnt invest much time after the big updated new version. Star Renegades looks like it has improved art, and I hope it has a fair price so I can get it day one.

YUP- we have changed our 2D art style to 2DX (X for XXXXXXXTREME). This is why we’ve been so quiet- not to mention we have been re-juggling the UI visuals again to also match this hi-def 2DX aesthetic look, so Softcookie put on her UI art hat again (but still wearing CM socks of course).​
Now that we have the guts of combat mechanics planned out, we wanted to start shifting our focus to other systems like camaraderie/camping, evolving adversary, and narrative/lore. So this new demo takes you on a journey into the lives of our rebels and gives you a glimpse about who they are and what sort of role they play in this grand universe.​
This whole 2D - 2DX thing started last year (2018) when our artist Bryan was like “hey look at this thing I put in 3D space for fun!” and then immediately was like “uh oh I think I may have just created a lot of work for myself (and our team) by suggesting this..”​

The newest trailer hints at the past of one of Star Renegade’s leading rebels, Wynn Syphex, whose battle against The Imperium hold a very deep and personal meaning. Be warned, adversaries learn and evolve as you do as you play across an ever-changing campaign!



Star Renegades comes to Steam and GOG on September 8th.
