Demo Options:
Dialogue Boxes can be turned on & off
Fully-customizable Keyboard & Controller Bindings
Controller Prompts for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 & PS4, and Nintendo Switch

Video Options:
Max 960P window size. Fullscreen will add blackbars to the sides.
V-Sync, Framelimiter (off doubles the game speed), Bilinear Filter, CRT Filter, CRT Curvature Slider, CRT Scanlines & Border Art (Disabled in the Demo).

Audio Options:
Music & SFX Volume sliders only.

Two Modes Available: (Both modes only have one life)
Arcade - No checkpoints. You die, it's game over.
Normal - Unlimited Checkpoints + you take less damage. It's the only thing I've noticed.

I found the game to be a mix of Metal Slug & Megaman Zero. (Certainly in its presentation!) The demo is very short; can be finished in 10 mins or so on Normal, after you've gotten used to the controls. No bossfight, unfortunately. The demo ends right after it shows up. The stage music is bloody awesome. Definitely not the first stage of the game, that's for sure. Might be the second or third. Expect it to be very hard on Arcade mode.

Personally, I'll be getting this day one.

Fun arena way "shooter" with a boomerand and really nice art style.

Suprisingly decent "escape room"-ish kind of game. Liked it a lot.

Pretty good deckbuilder game where you control a mechj and you have also an inventory that let's you equit new weapons and armor and stuff you find.

This one was amazing, loved it, really dark game fram Amanita Design.

Very fun fast-paced platformer.

Pretty decent minimalistic building strategy game.

Fun and somewhat difficulty sidescroller platformer involving changing colors of objects to progress.

This one was great.

Prologue is available with several levels to try. Pretty cool! It reminds me of Into the Breach or maybe Superhot but you have a deck of moves to shove and kick people around with.

Tried a couple earlier, neither were particularly interesting.

2d puzzle platformer, nothing you haven't seen before, many better examples.

Roll into blocks matching the current colour of you avatar (orbal?) to destroy them, change colour and repeat. Maybe it gets more interesting after the demo ends?

This has a demo. I have this from the kickstarter and can confirm that it's worthy of overwhelmingly positive. Great puzzle game.

Also worthy of it's overwhelmingly positive rating. I'm a big fan of this game and series. Try it!

I want to like this but ... WTF do you do? It's a watch the youtube video tutorial ... for a demo? Nah.

Looks like my kind of thing with the tower defense and base building stuff, but it's not working well on linux. Everybody else should do better with it.

Love the look of this shooter, but again borked on linux where I can't get past the in-game video intro to the first level. I'll probably buy it anyway.

so far so good, as great and creepy as the original

Top down Souls-lite with a neat "corrupted weapon" mechanic where you have to quickly clean your weapon or you deal reduced damage ... really fun demo

this one was quick :grimacing-face: wasnt able to get to actual game

absolutely love teh aestetic and music, gameplay is tight so far ... amazing first impression
may be bit wordy with all the technobabble , but might just be cuase of the tutorial

A city builder where you play as beavers, it has potential to be a good game as I liked the demo.
beaver citybuilding was fun for sure , realy promising for whats not even in Early access yet, even though my first attempt ended with all the biveres dying of thirst

this is a weird one , lowpoly turnbased adventure , where you run around the map and talk to folks and do turnbased battles .... quite fun , but really really rough atm (but well its pre-Early Acces so it will sure develop in time) .... also it really need FoV slider or zoomout

a minimalist exagonal tile-laying puzzle game, Similarly to Islanders which it shares core looop with , I found it highly addictive.

Pretty much GTA 2-77, they definitely nailed the GTA2 feel and the style is great too. Prettyfun , they just need to spent lots of work on optimalization (performance is absolutely dreadfull)

basicalyl CoD Zombie mode , but with teddy bears fighting toys with procedural maps and rogulike progression :-D
Definitely cool idea , but will need a lot more work and active good netcode

Card battling rogulike designed by Richard Garfield (of MTG fame). Hexagonal overworld map (works kinda like overworld map in HoMM) Interesting map system, Combat itself is very SlayTheSpyre-y , you got 2 character team where position matters. (each has own cards and position shows urn order) and large progression tree.

aRPG with base building agains huge swarms of alines , featuring impressive physics and desruction of the werld.
Pretty great for "alpha" . With more polish and zoom out option, this one is gonna be glorious

Let's see what I got so far

Basically Dead Cells but as a real Metroidvania-ish game with loot instead of a roguelike. Pretty neat.

Reminds me a lot of Strider, it looks and plays great, my only complaint is that I wish platforms you can grapple to popped out more, its very hard to discern background and foreground sometimes since its all extremely detailed

RPG-esque beat em up with anime tiddies, the demo is an extremely rough pre-alpha that doesn't even have sound and most menus are filled with debug shit but I reaaaaaally like what they're going for with the fighting system. Reminds me a lot of some NEO GEO beat em ups that have a big focus on comboing abilities and whatnot.

Best way I can describe it is sorta like "GZDoom Doom Eternal", very fast paced classic FPS with a lot of focus on dashing around and mixing shooting and melee, liked it quite a bit.

Narita Boy: great pixel art and movement feels solid, but the avalanche of proper nouns and lack of a map make progress unnecessarily confusing, and this already feels like the sort of art-driven game where it's tough to distinguish traversable paths from scenery. will give it a shot on Game Pass but not sold

Tasomachi: yay for Japanese indie 3D platformers, boo for floaty and stiff-feeling movement

Sonority: Interesting music-themed puzzler with overly obtuse mechanics

Timberborn is fantastic, as expected. couldn't get into Sands of Aura despite wanting to. Unsouled seems nice and is reminiscent of Hyper Light Drifter.

Next are The Invisible Hand, Dap and Dwerve but I'm too exhausted to try them right away.

A turn-based mafia strategy game. Has a boardgamey feel.
The demo seems empty and the production values are relatively low. This is not a game for me (at least this version).

Relaxed little puzzle game where one places tiles to create a miniature countryside.
Enjoyed it quite a bit.

A city building game about building a flying city.
I don't exactly know what it was about this demo, but it did not click with me.
It perhaps does need a little bit more polish or I just need to spend more time with it.

Fun game where you are a cloud and your goal is to cause mayhem with rain.

Good and gorgeus action adveture game where you play as a small robot. Gives me Ori vibes.

QWOP/Getting over with it with Bennet Foddy-type of climbing game. Very fun.

Another fun and nice looking adventure platformer.

Really cool visual novel, really like the style.

Gorgeus emotional and cute "minimalistic" adventure game.

Really cool twist on deckbuilding games.

El psy congroo! This one was pretty cool. You control a small robot sent back in time to alter the future.
tried this out and enjoyed it, movement is a bit clunky but it's a lot more interesting than the generic indie puzzle-platformer you'd expect from the title

also tried out Beasts of Maravilla Island (free-roaming Pokemon Snap-esque photography game where you photograph magical animals and plants, seems pretty charming) and Minute of Islands (very polished, promising 2D cinematic platformer/adventure with some creepy, vaguely HR Giger-esque overtones I wouldn't have expected from the stylized, cartoony art directions)

In what could be a really interesting game, it's all hampered by bad controls
Hopefully it's just the demo and not indicative of the eventual game.

A few more

Pretty awful demo, feels more like a gameplay proof of concept than an actual game and I kinda hate how the wall jumping works.

Pixel art Metroid/Wolfenstein, art style took some using to but overall pretty enjoyable

Basically an Eric Chahi platformer but with less trial and error. I kinda dig the pixelated yet somehow rotoscoped-feeling art style.

Co-op Celeste, not much to say beyond that, not my kind of thing.

So... my thoughts on a bunch of stuff:
Dark Soulsian 2D... it looks, and feels like Children of Morta. Like, a lot. To a point where I would call it plagiarism.
But then you get into combat, and it's less the case, it's more Dark Souls classics... with parries and stuff. And extremely poor visibility for some attacks like projectiles. And very slow movement speed.
You can't parry most of the strong, visible attacks. Fair enough.
But you can parry basic attacks! The ones that have no tells. So gotta learn and predict I guess?
There's no hitstun so you can get bodied mid combo by anything.

And then the level design is linear... but immediately throws you in arenas with waves of mobs... who thought that would be a good addition? Especially since, again, it's just a mosh pit where you can't really parry, AND you have to spam executes on defenseless ennemies because...? Doom was here before or something...? The person that decided that everything should finish with a QTE should be banished to the shadow realm, this ruined Doom already, stop spreading your filth (add arenas with waves of monsters as the double trouble of garbage ideas to fill a vapid game).

It's... not fun. And makes no good use of its copy/pasted pixel art, it's too bright to see what's going on clearly and ennemies lack animations and tells. Plus it feels needlessly violent.
Off the wishlist.

That's not even a metroidvania, that's a Castlevania combining both styles at this point.
Except you can move mid jump, it does feel pretty good... with the warrior at least, the two other characters have a stiff range attack that really breaks the rhythm of the combat and exploration. Which is quite alright, with extras to find and lots of shortcuts, the level design is nice.
BUT.
Big but and I cannot lie, you have to constantly switch characters for their own specific abilities... which mean going back to campfires... they are very common. But each time you need to do so (and it can very well be every two rooms), everything respawns. This is very, VERY tedious in a demo, I can't imagine in the full game... swapping with a button would have been much better...

And progression mostly comes from money dropped by ennemies... that you can only spend when you die like a shitty rogue-legacy.
And this system has been garbage since day one, and it still is here.
It only rewards failure, more than that it REQUIRES failure to make your life easier and easier until balance breaks down. Sure you can't lvl up your stats infinitely at least (and they are separate, so add an extra mountain of grind since most upgrades will be identical - just on three different chars), but it sure as fuck feels like it's here to pad the game with tons more killing.

Game feels good, but I'm not so sure about being fun after a while. Especially since the archer and the mage feel samey, I can already see a lot of back and forth simply because movement abilities are spread on 3 chars rather than one.
And that's certainly not a good sign, Bloodstained 2D had no such issue.

Now I had never heard of this.
And I won't help spread its name.
It's an extremely basic 3D action game, which is fine if simplistic... but the controls are fucked.
Camera is slow as shit, your character moves on a dime but not her orientation so it's almost like if your legs moved before the rest of your body, the physics are NOT GOOD... and it feels like they're pushing for combat with three different attacks but I struggle to see why as it's barely a thing in favor of jank-ass platforming.

Yeah hard to see redeeming features here.

Most other games are lacking in explanations, makes sense for demos.
Now this game is the opposite and it talks (or well, writes) way too much and I don't give a shit.
But that's minor.
Extremely pretty with some very nice particle effects though. Less nice UI however.

Now, it's top down Dark Souls combat number 941739 with some old school dungeon crawling feel (and inventory and upgrade system)... but apparently it's also an open world...?
That is... ambitious and the demo is probably not enough to have a good grasp of the game.

Impossible to make an accurate judgement but one major issue: the sound design. If you go Dark Souls, you better have good feedback for your hits, which absolutely isn't the case here, the war hammer has the same impact as the dagger, that is - none, and while having two active weapons, different skills and magic upgrades could make it interesting to play, right now it feels very, very unfinished.

That's Earthbound X Undertale alright.
I didn't expect to be flashed by a gnome and to have MULTIPLE pedo jokes in a demo. There is memes, and then there is being and edgelord and not being funny.
That's this game in a nutshell. Not funny, and I don't believe for a second that they'll do anything with the heavy themes that they started with.

Otherwise, it's bland.
Crazy "lolol memes and funny sprites and colorful but actually super dark" 2D RPGs are a dime a dozen, and I hardly see why this one would be better, especially when it apes out Undertale too much with its pacifist and murderer aspects.

Realistic anime 3D platformer collectathon.
Must be said, we don't see those often, even less with such a strange artstyle.
It does look good... beside the awful pop-in of some elements, pretty jarring. Nice music too.

Just looking at the trailer, I can already see the issue with levels looking too similar, it's all modern cities with different color coding.
But as much as i would like to enjoy the game, it does not play well at all... the jump animations are too long for the movement, so you hit the ground while still floating and instantly gets back in neutral position, your character is too light and slightly slippery but with a generous amount of time to reposition yourself so it feels even easier than it already is...

Sure I'd like to explore this world, and it does have a lot of verticality and just... stuff to collect in it, but it doesn't feel very good, and it's pretty empty. The game says that the city is supposed to be silent with noone to be found... but it feels like a cop-out: it's not even true, there are animal people, they talk to you and give you little side missions for gizmos to collect so... yeah.
It sure feels like a game made out of left over 3D modelling with a platformer slapped on it. :shrugblob:

Is pretty awesome, it's like a turn based tower defense game is the dumbest way to explain it but with hero characters and base upgrading.

There was the old warcraft 2 mod that wasn't dota and wasn't paintball but I can't remember the name of that was basically tower defense and it reminded me of that but turn based. Most of the games demos I installed I played like 20 minutes of then uninstalled because they were blah.

This one is pretty great too and I hate deck building games but I wont hold that against it. I'd give it a try!

Old-school ungeon crawler with very dark atmosphere and creepy environments.

Really decent "point and click"-styled game.

Good 2d-scroller shoot em up game with "retro" vhs art style.

This has potential to become a great tactical rpg.

Medieval take on GTA formula which is great idea.... demo was pretty solid , but remainst to be seen if they will manage to build whole game around it

fantasy citybuilder with overworld where you sent adveturers to explore (whis isnt realy done here yet)., really neat idea, but the demo run like ass and controls was so clunky - but this is pre-Early Access so i guess depends on how the early access period goes , currently too basic to realy judge

isometric zombie roguliete survival game where you play as infected survivor .... like the idea of you slowly turning into zombie and either slow it down or become more and more zombie while getting cool skills , needs a but more work , especially on the clunky controls , demo was also quite short

this one was delightful little platforming adventure about writing , a bit simple in mechanics but has a heart

You play as a knight scaling a tower full of traps and enemies trying to save a princess.fun gameplay with enat artstyle, Was quite hard and Idied a lot , but overall pretty enjoyable game

Citybuilder in a toyabox astetics , its more of a mix of citybuilding with puzzls. Has some cool ideas , but the stacking feature didnt really feel aall taht usefull in the demo , but could have some creative applications.

Wabebased towerdefence/sRPG combo with some basebuilding. Love the art and how deep the system looks, but I migth be too slow for me to playthrough with the overhwelimg enemy numbers and turnbased battles against them , although the heroes cat get quite powerfull to wipe lot of them.
not sure here

Earthboundeque game with blocky artstyle and combat reminding me Stick of throught . The demo was mosrtly
proceeding through scavenger hunts, and bunch of battles. Strong Stratnger Things vibe , cant wait to see more

This was the good kind of wiith 4thwall beaking animegirl with animegirl having fun on your desktop with mediocre platformings sections. Fun experiment

This one was strange for me , really love the idea on , but the demo itself felt a bit disjointed at times.
It's a mix of city builder, industry optimizer, mech warrioring and tower defense in a strange nightmare world
You build your flying city in rather more of a factorioish way rather than standard citybuilding. And then you go scavenging for resourcers with the ribot and try to "defend the city" until takeoff again.
Felt there is too much of the robot combating rather than citybuilding ... lets hope they will balance and improve things
druing the span of Early Access asn the promise is great , but current implementation is messy

this was great , what if boomer shooter was climbing paltfotmer :-D Might need a bit tighter air control , but was absolute blast

solid arcade shooter hame that plays like Ubermosh x Nuclear throne :) Gameplay was ffun , but not really my thing

Dungeon crawling spin on tower defense ... tight and polished quite polished ,great fun

this is a strange one :-D Promising runner with a dope soundtrack , they need to work on the controls to be tighter

cool idea of rogulike climbing , Gameplay seems simple but it manages to capture a lot of the complexity of real climbing ()routepicking, strenght management,..) . Really hard , but was rather fun than frustrating in the demo

Shmup with 1950s sci-fi aesthetics and cutscenes with live actors , works really well together and gameplay is already pretty fun and feels really close to Sine Mora

Interestig take on deckbuilder game , the theme of circus actors trying to impress audience is amazing idea. Demo feels like just a showcase of each gameplay pillars (bit of card duels , bit of camp management and bit of exploration with locked economy). They all feel fun , but not sure how will they tie together later, might need better polish in interface

Pretty damn fun Imerssive Sim/Boomer shooter. Meele was meh , magic is more of a utiility rather than a weapon , but weapon themselves are a blast. It oozes style with every environment and enemy i met.

pretty much Banished with beavers , really hard but fun , for pre-Early Access , really promising

Its like soulsy hyper light drifter :-D Cool looking artstyle , delightfully fory and satysfying challenge . Needs a lots of polish (and probably new button layout) though before release,.

Did you like Snoopy Flying Aces/Snoopy vs the Red Baron? This feels like that, dressed in gory, goofy Warhammer 40k.
Repetitive, as these games are, but mechanically it's sound, and the controls are tight. Didn't know this existed, but looking forward to it

Alice Alisa is stuck in a weird feverdream world, and she's also stuck with the worst kind of tank controls to try and escape.
I say this as someone who doesn't like tank controls, so a retro horror game riffing on Alice in Wonderland with those controls is a no go for me

Wasn't sure what to make of it. Interesting concept, and I like the idea of everything being in configurable shadows, but the character models looking they way they do really took me out of the emotional pull it's going for.

This spoke to me in ways none of you would understand, and the horde mode in the demo was fun, but I'd hope for a campaign or something because this would be at best a pick up and play for 25-30 minutes at a time game every now and again if it's only multiplayer focused.

Alchemy simulator.... some of the mechanics seems bit basic atm and some confusing , but overall much more complex than i thought , Really fun

Fire Emblem-y sRPG , looks nice , plays well , but felt more like " proof of concept" prototype rather than demo as in extemely basic and unpolished , might definitely need much time in the oven

Music puzzler based on basic music theory . Really fun way to play with german dub anf so far funny story, but might be bit hard for people who are bad with tones like me :-D

very early demo , but lovely art and impressive atmosphere and fun ideas mostly around light. Reminded me a lot of the old Oddworld games.
A bit messy demo , but definitely promising title.

A psychedelic horror action adventure about bizarre creatures in dark. Its a game where where you explore a wild forest and recruit dabdudes Pikmin style to solve puzzles and fight enemies.
The game is very atmospheric and it is impossible not to feel immersed in the aesthetics and soundtrac. The Dabs creatures are both cure and unsetling and you dab with them through swampy forest and abttle creapy enemies.
it's all so creepy and unsettling and its decent combat system makes me want to continue experiencing it. Part action, part horror, all Dap

I would say my biggest surprised of the bunch. Dab dab to the max

Turbased RPG where you play as member of Plague's legion. The art and story seem nice , although the tactical gameplay felt bit shallow and clunky . Will probanly need some months maybe in Early Access or something. Would be waste for this wonderfully grim idea to go to waste with clunky game

Draft of Darkness is deckbuilder rogulike that reminded me of darkesr dungeon mixed inoold grungy flasgames.
The artstyle is not really my thing but it definitely nails the style it goes for with dilapidated apartment building and spooky monsters.
Overal meh experience , but with enough polish and ton of balancing (demo felt too easy but might have been intentional) it might evolve into something

Metal Mind is like mechaspin on Enter the gungeon where you play as little robot and exchange parts . Overall pretty enjoyable , controls a bit slugish in the demo but nothing unfixable , but sountrack pixealrt is great. I also didnt found a way to heal beyond changing parts of the robot.
What i really enjoyed here was the surprising diversity of enemeis and their behavious. Before release it needs to polish the controls and addd some carryoner unlocks between runs (was probably just tiurned off in the demo)

------------------------------------------------------------------
Satirical indie puzzler with a snarky AI running the test with gian arms that throws you around puzzle rooms to solve. And asking around statistics. Was a good laugh and the puzzles were progressing quite naturely and got harder and harder.
Really curious to see the final game as what was here was great little snack .

Lovely looking adventure game mossl focused on the exploration , interactions and generative art while you witness the history of mankind. This game is so trippy and the art style is amazing and lovedmaking music on the fly. Bit too short though

Might be a bit more intuitive thought needs work is making things a bit more intuitive. Another highlight despite this being in my least favourite henre

Love the atposphere and premise of this one where you explore creepy dungeon under the sea with a team of researchers and heavy machinery and fight its inhabitants,. The visuals arent nothing amazing but wotks good enough , controls aslso isnt as tight as it should be but overall its quite promising once they fix the controls issues (that often makes you kill your guy by accident)

This one was like Hyper Light Drifter mixed with DMC. Amazing pixelart , extremely fun gameplay
The combat is so effin smooth and seems to be quite deep from the demo snippets , clrearly inspired by DMC :-D Actions are all chainable whichas long as you have stamina. The demo bossfight was exremely satisfying

and final batch i forgot to post yesterday ...

Metroidvania with world altering mechanics to solve puzzles and with lovely arRT. Demo was really nice , but felt a bit short

This one was more of a classic castlevania-ish kind of game with cool level design . What weirded me out was the fact you had to back track a lot to change characters to continue. Had really fun bossfight. The artstyle is horrendous on ultravide though

Production based turnbased strategy game about building space trade network . Very tighty dsigned, will be a treat for the fans of the genre

Pretty much mobil-ish flash-ish game about hungry buny trying to eat the pig at the end of the level wiith the other rabbits noticing . Its also weridly addicting for such simple game

.What astrange mix . its rogulite mixed wiith s PC plartormers with artstyle reminiscent of Amiga days
You enter a dungeon and try to get the most trasre in dew minutes.

A bit cluncky atm but definitely has potential

Dicey rogulite with animals ghosthuntingon boardgamey overworld.
Demo was a bit rough and clunky , but mighr be one to look for when to hit v1.0

Fun little title reminiscent of stuff like Cloudbuilt or Ghostrunner but with more of a cartoon visual and bit simpler. Mechanics were tight enough and the action surprisingly fast

Cute and goofy skelletal jRPG with skellingtons . Yu play as a skellington raised by cats a skeleton raised by cats. Really fun and quite hard demo if bit short.
Its releasing pretty soon so definitely reccomended.

Earthbound/Mother inspired jRPG with VHS-art , about you fighting your inner demons in cursed Grimm Brothers' fairy rail-taleish world. Felt the battles were too hard

800/90s cinematic platgormer , very reminiscent of another world ,PoP, Blackthorne or flashback in its gameplay. (runing, jumping, hanginh, rolling and shooting)

Fun idea x ou loop around a dungeon you... gradually build yourself. Lovely aestetic , addicting loop and releasing pretty soon.
