Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York is due out for PC via Steam on December 4 and for Switch in Q1 2020.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York presents the conflict between two vampiric factions: the traditionalist Camarilla and the fiercely independent Anarchs among the iconic landmarks and night lights of The Big Apple. It’s a unique, atmospheric, single-player narrative experience, set in a rich, fully licensed, globally recognized universe of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition.

Key Features
  • Choose your character from one of several distinct Clans.
  • Every playable character offers unique powers (Disciplines), different ethical approaches to certain issues, and dialogue lines.
  • Character-oriented quests allow you to create your own coterie and shape your relations by reinforcing NPC loyalties.
  • Highly replayable – choices made in the game are reflected by the game’s changing fiction.
  • Various endings depending on your actions – which conclusion will you reach?
  • Suitable for both Vampire: The Masquerade veterans, and fans of mature narrative-driven games who are newcomers to the setting.
The game does justice to the mature themes of the World of Darkness, and takes advantage of the excellent atmosphere of the source material. It also creates new stories, which, thanks to the full creative license, will be incorporated as official lore of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition.

I'm looking forward to this. Probably the last game I finish in 2019.

Sounds like a team of pen and paper players have created an interactive comic of one of their adventures.
I like the setting and the universe. It's not an uninteresting idea.

Not sure to post this here or in the visual novel page, but I enjoyed this game despite its illusion of choice.

I did not know it was a conversion of a tabletop game. I'd like to see more of that!

All Vampire: the Masquerade games are at least loosely based on the pen & paper RPG (ie, dungeons and dragons but vampires).
Coteries of NY's blurb/about/faq state it:
Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York is a narrative experience set in the rich universe of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition.

If it’s called Vampire: The Masquerade, does that mean you have something in common with World of Darkness, Bloodlines 2, the cult tabletop RPG system, or...?

Yes, exactly! Coteries of New York is set in the same universe as Bloodlines 2, but our game offers different experiences and stories.

Yeah I got a review copy, and I only read about that stuff AFTER I play the game.

Then I go back and read all the PR stuff promoting their product.

Now that I know that Vampire: The Masquerade is a pen&paper RPG, I even FURTHER look forward to the universe.

Same with Mutant: Year Zero.

You have to play this if you really like the universe!
It's old (first source engine game, even before HL2), released in a terrible state (there is one essential fan patch, and a community of people still actively patching the game).
But it's a good introduction into the universe imo.

I've owned it for years. I just have not taken the time to play it.
