By the way, how demanding is the game on the computer? Will my 2017 macbook pro be able to handle it at 1080p?

I could DL it and give it a shot bc gamepass but I'm just terrified of these kinds of tactical games. I have no experience beyond some attempts at an xcom game and sharp memories of bouncing off them hard as all fuck.
I loaded the game up, saw that there were no black female playable characters, and quit.

You mean the default characters? There's a white, straight couple, a white, gay couple, an Asian father & daughter party, the white female mentor & student, and a mixed race (black and white) couple. It's not exactly super diverse, I agree, but then again, I feel with Wasteland the best idea is always to roll your own character, the defaults are really just for people who aren't into the RPG aspects too much (which is fine, that's why the defaults exist after all).
Looking at the character customisation, I can see how someone wanting to play as a dark skinned character could have issues. The shader is really bad about darker skin, making it look like pastic, and the selection of hair styles, well, is pretty white. It's sad how games in 2020 are still so bad about this.
I hate, hate character creation. Except for Mass Effect, I've never been able to create a satisfying-looking character for the reasons you've already pointed out. I also don't know what stats to take, so it's easier to just pick a premade.
You didn't have to list all of the options. I went through them, which is why I know what is and isn't available.
That was more for myself, as I hadn't gone through the New Game screen before or at least not looked at all default options before.
I decided not to delete that part later, as it might be useful for others who haven't yet bought the game.
And it's a bummer the game doesn't offer more diversity in the default and better options in the custom characters.
This seems especially strange to me as Wasteland 2 seemed to have a lot of diversity, at least as shown in the character avatars (the game didn't really show you close ups as Wasteland 3 seems to do, you just had pictures like these you saw when talking to characters:
This felt like a big departure from Wasteland 1, where (all ?) portraits from what I can tell where white. Perhaps they lost track of that with Wasteland 3? I feel these things stem from the lack of diversity in game developers themselves, if almost everyone looking at something is white, you don't get how this might look to minorities.

Man it often feels like I dont know where to go, sure I have the missions but wherever I go it feels like its just a little bit too hard, so I reload and try to find other places to go, so I just go back and forth constantly and just nibble at enemies at places.XD
I played the first version of WL2 and I liked it but fell off it, feel like I'm enjoying this new one alot more!
Nooooooooooo! Second time I have this bug where a companion is stuck underground, meaning under the play world. First time I managed to change map but now the companion is too far away and I get that "you must gather your party blabla". Another lesson to have many saves because my last hard save is three days old and no fucking hell I'm replaying all that. Fuck fucking fuck this suck so fucking hard.

Pheeeeew! Managed to find someone else on steam forums with the same problem and one suggestion was to get into combat and thankfully I had someone to fight close by and it worked!
It's a very long game, but it can be pretty short too depending on your playstyle. I've seen people beating the game in 30 hours or less, and I can't imagine I'm doing that. I love to talk and listen to everyone and tackle every possible quest in the game.

My state is completely different.
The guy from Little Vegas (which I didn't kill) proposed a hostile takeover of the Bizarre. But instead, I betrayed and killed him instead so Bizarre is safe.
Yeah you are right! I just turned down the offer and forgot about it! Thinking I could deal with it later.
Think the game might be little buggy, I had a synth head disappear from my inventory, Probably got sold as "junk" since I always use the sell all junk stuff,
Oh no! I lost the weird suit guy who was following me around!
He was quite good as an extra push in battles.

And I'm done! I ended up skipping a lot of side quests because the loading times were starting to drive me crazy. Still, I was level 25 by the end, and put 42 hours into it.
In a surprise that shocked me, I sided with the Patriarch. Throughout the game, I had figured I would end up overthrowing his fascist ass... But Angela Deth's plan was a shitshow, involved doing a ton of awful stuff, and making your teammates hate you. She kept talking about the Ranger way being about the greater good, but had no qualms about sending Iron Cordite to Kansas with an army of psychopaths. She also kills half the rangers, and causes who knows how many civilian deaths when she attacks Colorado Springs.
My ending seems to be "good" overall. Arizona gets the supplies it needs, and I stayed in Colorado to help spread the Ranger's influence.

I also finished the game the other day. I took the "bad" ending because it seemed interesting lol. 60 hours in total.
The final scretch of the game kinda fell flat though, it ended quite abruptly. It really is the curse of CRPGs nowadays, they could've done more with more dev time. Also, sniper and mechanic stay OP for the whole game.

The synths really are kind of bad in this game, I always try to save all new tech based lifeforms in other games but here, nah! Hell they even put a trap on a medical box haha!
I also finished the game and also got the "bad" ending, or more like that it wasn't the happy ending, not sure there even is one. I really liked the game but yeah it fell flat at the end.
Still my GOTY, but that more because I haven't played that many games that the game is the most my jam of the those that I've played.

At least the robots in the commune are good people. Little Sparrow is my soul mate.
