Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will exhibit PDXCon 2019 from October 18 to 20 in Berlin, publisher Bigben Interactive and developer Cyanide announced.

The game was first announced in January 2017 under the publishing of Focus Home Interactive. Following Bigben Interactive’s acquisition of Cyanide in May 2018, publishing rights to the game were transferred to the company that November.

Due out for consoles and PC in 2020, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is an action RPG adaption of the classic role-playing game. In it, players take on the role of Cahal, a banished werewolf forced to return to the aid of his endangered clan and master the devastating Rage within him to punish all those that would pollute, destroy, and corrupt Gaia, or Mother Earth. On his quest for redemption, Cahal will play a “pivotal role” in the Great War of the Garou against Pentex, a powerful corporation whose activities are upsetting the balance of nature.

Fuuuuuck. Then again, it's been 2 decades since Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of Gaia was a thing on my gaming radar, so an extra 6 months to a year is nothing

Hmm, yes and no. I didn't like the metal either, but if memory serves the original tabletop RPG is quite 'angry'.
I was trying of think of a particular metal/hardcore band that's know for being vegan/animal; rights activists and how that would have been completely on point, but it escapes me and it wasn't the music in the trailer wasn't them. And I do realize the Werewolf games played a bit of 'edgy' appeal, so it's a minor complaint

God I hope the environmentalism plays as big a role as the trailer would imply, also that Cyanide doesn't fuck this up. Heart of Gaia being cancelled was a long time to wait for this license to get another game.

No gameplay but I'm still hyped, and can hold out for the gog/steam release in 202X

the so called gameplay trailer and delay to 2022
With his former Caern in danger, Cahal must return to a land he once called home to protect his family and friends, no matter the cost. With the evil corporation Endron besieging them from every side, only you can fight the corruption taking root within your home, using the devastating power of the Werewolf to turn the tide.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is coming to Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in February 2021.

I've never finished a Styx either, though I have finished Of Orcs and Men.

Gameplay looks.... average at best. Fits right in in Timmy's store.

Yeah, there is so much material to make a great RPG. Let's do a generic action game instead.
This fucking franchise is cursed, always the middle of the road adaptations.
