New week, new thread! What are you playing?

I played the new story event of Girls' Frontline 2. The story was great! I also enjoy the new cafe minigame. It is very simple but soothing (thanks to the nostalgic music). Also re-played Fights in Tight Spaces a bit to prepare for the new game. I will never get tired of it.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles: Finished the second game, that last section of the game is too long. In general I appreciate how everything in the game ends up connecting (even if I didn't like some of the twists). I'm taking a break from AA games for a while after this. I'll eventually get to the Apollo trilogy (of which i never played the last game nor the DLCs of 5) but that will be after a long break.

Holocure: played a bit more.

Shotgun King: Started the game, still getting the hang of it.

A bit miffed by how the SS2 Remaster looks so I'm playing the first game's remake for the first time. It's quite good but kind of despite the graphics, the environments are actually quite nice overall but the humanoids and such not so much, somehow. Still it feels nice to play between the exploring and resource gathering (I'd say resource managing also but at least in the first floor you have like infinite refills of health and ammo for the energy weapons and plentiful loot if you even wanna spend coin to buy stuff too (I didn't buy anything but an upgrade for a pistol I don't even use so far, lol). If a bit simplistic like immersive sim Lite. The circuitry type puzzles are a bit annoying, I might drop their difficulty to low, playing everything on normal so far. I'm enjoying it more than I expected.

Edit: yikes, there are many floors, might have to take Lite back, you do/get stuff in one to affect/progress in the other, maybe it's more complex than 2 after all...

I share similar sentiment towards GAA. The second game is simply too long. How the puzzle pieces coming together does not feel satisfying due to the pacing.

Personally I also don't like how they handle (character name) Asogi. Thought it was pretty lame.

Main focus was going through the new Star Rail story. I have some gripes with other parts of the game (powercreep, anemic events) but the story is not one of them. That was outstanding. Really, really good stuff. And we're only one quarter through it :sweaty-blob:

Other than that, I keep going through the tower mode in Zenless whenever I want a "quick" combat fix. So much fun.

Also hit Chapter 2 in Judgment. Quite liking it. I hope I get to put a bit more time into it this week.

Finished Jagged Alliance 3 last night, had to restart the final level as it's mostly in the dark and I didn't bring my night vision googles!

Tried Lysfanga on Epic, it was a prime freebie. In typical epic fashion the achievements and overlay don't work.

Played a bit of Avowed, it's good that the first companion is a blue guy who sound suspiciously like Garrus Vakarian.

I'm on hour 50 or so of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

I have to write something about this at some point, but they did a lot of things really well. I think they could have done a somewhat better job to make it a full cohesive whole, but a lot of the individual components are really good. For one, I think this is easily the best action/TB hybrid battle system S-E has ever made. They also did a good job in terms of providing gameplay variety, both for optional things and along the main story track. There is a prodigious amount of minigames, and quite a few of them are pretty fun.

Also, one thing I really love is that they didn't shy away from making the game outright goofy at times. FF7 was a goofy game, and I think with the infinitely higher graphics fidelity there could be a temptation to tame that down, but they didn't.

Finished Guardians.

I was thinking that I would move to Fenyx right away now that it has those achievements, but I might get all achievements in Guardians first since I'm only like 8 cheevos short.

Resubbing to get one event outfit has me back in the clutches of FFXIV. I could honestly use a bit of a slower-paced game to unwind to, something more social. Finally wrapping up Shadowbringer's base MSQ. Some day I'll get to Dawntrail...

I finished the first part of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage today. It’s pretty good, but I don’t love it yet. Willing to see it through to the end.

Next I start The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I’m a little intimidated by it, if I’m honest. The game looks mahooosive, and I’m not sure I have the patience or stamina for it. I just want to get it ‘out of the way’ before I never play it due to Switch 2 releasing.

This week didn't have any specific focus so far, played a bit of this and a bit of that. Most of the time was spent on setting up things for the future like with the Unleashed Recomp, or rechecking all the mods I have installed for games like Skyrim (and making it sure it doesn't explode as soon as I click the skse_loader), but the one I liked the most was installing Sonic Robo Blast 2 (and some maps addons) on my Deck. I swear it's like that game wa made for it with how good it looks and runs
Now for tomorrow, well, that's Suikoden's day, and that will be a focus for sure

Putting a bit of time into Knights in Tight Spaces daily. On the surface it is similar to the first game, but in reality the developers added a ton of things to KiTS. The playstyle also drastically changes with the addition of party members.

Annnnnnd because I am a terrible party leader, I just got both of them killed in the same battle. :ROFLMAO: Let's see how this unintentional lone wolf run (oops) will fare.
