New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Continuing Octopath Traveler. I finished all chapter 2 stories. Despite getting used to the format and systematic nature of the game, sometimes I still can't shake the feeling of "this story doesn't work at all". In particular the story of Therion the thief. Mandatory stealing in his main story should result in an ideology clash with another character, Tressa the merchant. But because this game isn't about character interaction in story, there is no arguements between the characters and the players are left with this tingling feeling of dissonance. Again, it is what it is, but surely it takes time for me to adjust.

Going into the optional dungeons next.

i've been playing FFVII remake quite a bit and am like 25 hours into it now, the combat system has continued to be something i've really enjoyed and the other stuff has mostly been clicking for me too, the music is great and the overall vibe kinda reminds me of Yakuza a bit which has really been working for me

there's also things about it I find annoying so I wouldn't say it's without it's flaws, I wish it was a bit more open at times(and the few times it isn't super focused it feels a bit jarring because it's so sporadic) and there's a bunch of scenes where you're slowly walking or crawling through things or whatever that remind me why I don't really play AAA games in general but from what I hear both of those are improved in Rebirth so i'm curious how i'll feel about that one

Been playing Zenless 3.0 update the last 1.5 weeks and it has been excellent.
Next week gonna be Moon explorationing in Genshin and I'm hella excited for that.

Other than that been slowly going through FF7 Remake (but not so much, because it's been hot as hell). Just finished chapter 6. It's solid.
I don't love it yet, but it's largely been a pretty enjoyable time.

I finished the main Wyrm quest in Dragon's Dogma but to my surprise it seems that the Final Battle didn't end the game after all.
I mean I guess I always expected there to be a free roam at least and also the Dark Arisen content, but I guess we'll see what happens next.
Sounds like you finished the tutorial!
Welcome to the game :P

Playing a puzzle platformer called Ugly centered around mirroring yourself across an axis to where you can then teleport. There's much more emphasis on the platformer part later on in to the game. Then it escalates again on a dime straight in to Super Meat Boy hard. Suddenly you're playing the latter, more difficult part of a precision platformer. A bold move to pivot so aggressively in to mechanical difficulty and away from puzzling. Makes the game quite niche I reckon.
