Slice-of-life where a girl one day suddenly wakes up with horns growing out of her head and learns her father is actually a dragon. The story of a young dragon girl being lazy, doing her best...and being lazy again. A new series begins!
I honestly only checked it out because the blurb made it sound like a trainwreck in the making. But shockingly enough it's actually pretty good. Feels a bit Death Note-ish.What would you do if you had a smartphone that let you look up anything? Secret documents, security camera footage, a certain person's text messages, where people dropped money... This smartphone lets you do the impossible! Jump's newest suspense thriller begins!
Thanks for the reminder. I was meant to grab this set when it first released. Started reading 2000AD around issue 400 (came with a Dune sticker album). It has been something I always go back to. Currently playing catch up on the last 4 to 5 years of isses (so about 250 to go).I wish Humble had a way of telling me what I have in a bundle. I know this is by design, but I'm not sure it's working in their favor.
There is a new 2000AD bundle and I'm not sure I can be arsed to sift through it to see what I have or not.
From what I can make out 39 & 40 are the most recent releases. 40 released 3 days ago (unless I am reading it wrong).Finished Judge Dredd - Complete Case Files 15
I have a long way to go
On that note, don't tell me the collection was canceled ? There doesn't seem to have been a release in 2022.
Yup, I just checked. So either they stopped doing the digital version or more probably a dumb delay between physical and digital (last one is #38 in digital)From what I can make out 39 & 40 are the most recent releases. 40 released 3 days ago (unless I am reading it wrong).
Still about 800 issues behind 2000AD.
How dare you insult Denji like that.Any other rec for your Meta friends ? That they don't read shit like 'insert most Shonen Jump serializations'.

Dark rumors about what befell the members of the astronomy club keep people away from the school observatory, and that’s what makes it the perfect sanctuary for Nakami and Magari to get some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, the school faculty can’t allow its unsanctioned use. But if there were a new astronomy club, maybe these two insomniacs could have a place to call home.

First up is Gideon Falls, this has been collected into 2 big deluxe editions which is the recommended way to read it.The lives of a washed-up Catholic priest arriving in a small town full of dark secrets and a reclusive young man obsessed with a conspiracy in the city's trash become intertwined around the mysterious legend of the Black Barn...
Recommend getting the deluxe edition if possible since the series starts slow and this collects the first 3 books which lets have a better pacing once one is done going through it. There's nice camradire going between Erica and the cast and from book 4 onwards, the pacing gets better.Children in a sleepy Wisconsin town begin to go missing with most never returning, and those that do have disturbing stories of horrific creatures that live in the shadows. There is one person that believes the children and claims to be the only who sees what they can see. Her name is Erica Slaughter. She kills monsters. This is all she does, and she bears the cost because it must be done.

I’m a 40+ failure going through a predictable midlife crisis.
Listen to a friend and try a manga to change things up.
…
…
The protag doesn’t know how to relate to people and the only constant is people age and die.
You can’t make this shit up.
Nice ! Today I learned that 'la nature a horreur du vide' can be translated to 'nature abhors a vacuum' and that it's a physics principle named 'horror vacui'.
What will I do with all this knowledge
I should stop reading adult manga, they make me all moody the day after.
I'm still processing the fact that Sousou no Frieren is labeled as a Shonen, and how it's wrong and actually how hilariously un-shonen it is.
In a shonen the protag want something. He obnoxiously wants that fucking thing and nothing else matter in the universe.
In Frieren, the protag didn't get that thing and have to deal with her existence without the thing.
Basically, eat you shitburgers, Frieren !
...
If everything turns out into a battle manga for something I will be very cross.
...One Piece chapter 1 (of 10 245)
Luffy - 'I want to be the new Pirate King !!!'
Sousou no Frieren chapter 1
Frieren - 'Fuck my life.'
Dang holmesTizoc
Meh, meh meh meh meh.
I would even venture another Meh !
I read 100+ episodes of Dandandan but this Alien arc put me to sleep. It's clearly no GLORIOUS Mongolian Death Worm.
You gotta vibe with the family man retired assassain dad. He took on the peaceful life: A happy loving wife and child and a clam chill lifestyleAnd Sakamoto I tried but it was too much on the jokey no plot side of things (though I left early).
I don't think you need to worry about that. Combat in the manga exists, certainly. However, it is never the main focus. If everything turns out into a battle manga for something I will be very cross.
Extremely late reply, but I can wholeheartedly recommend How to Grill Our Love by Shiori HanatsukaSo anybody got any recommendations in a similar vain to Yuru Camp or Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou?
Dating can be tough when you nerd out over barbecue. Kenta, a practical pitmaster, looks for a grill-friend in Chihiro, an aloof and faultless business babe…or is she? Scared of being rejected for who they really are, the two of them find comfort in food and each other…and all is well until Kenta must transfer away. With their developing relationship at steak, Chihiro proposes they tie the knot and they marry for better or wurst. Winging a long-distance marriage is one thing, but here’s the rub—they barely know each other! It’s a rare marriage where all the awkwardness of dating meets a sizzling passion for grilling!
Thanks, will have to check it out.Extremely late reply, but I can wholeheartedly recommend How to Grill Our Love by Shiori Hanatsuka
No real drama or angst, just comfy.

I stopped reading manga for a while and indeed the one that I miss the most would be Insomniacs after school. Comfy.
No need, it's just the name of a genre in Japan.will have a look at that as well.
