There's also still 14~ hours left as of this post on a Dungeons and dragons game sale!

For those that don't own them already, there's some great stuff in there, particularly Temple of Elemental Evil, the Forgotten Realms archives, and the Krynn, Ravenloft, and Dark Sun series, which are currently unavailable anywhere else:

Looks like they're migrating GOG Galaxy over to the big 2.0 soon

One of the biggest things they're touting about it is being able to chat across multiple game clients (ie Steam, xbox, ubisoft, etc) at least thats the general idea (Unless I'm mistaken)

I hope they make it more snappy with whatever the public release is. It doesn't feel quite right the way it is now.

As much as I like it in general, yeah I have to agree it's sort of sluggish for utilizing a bunch of its features

I know I've said this before, and I'll say it again, GOG Galaxy 2.0 would be perfect if it had a 10 ft UI. Playnite is still the goat until then.

At last i can read manuals and run sound setups in dos games from launcher :Kain_weendance:
I was someone who, when Windows 95 started being mandatory for loads of applications and I finally had to install it, one of the first things I would do when starting my PC would be to go into DOS prompt. :giggle:

But recently, I realized I've become a lazy bastard, and I have no more patience to troubleshoot things, and mess around with settings for older games. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I'm basically sort of trying to do that with my like "I love this game and want to play it again sometime in the future for sure" ones. I know I don't have to rebuy them again in that sense but on some insane possibility it gives me that peace of mind I guess.

Plus it's kind of neat to sort of get that feeling of "Oooh new game!" all over again for something you thought was amazing or great X amountt of time ago

Just an FYI if you plan on buying DEUS Ex Mankind on GOG (Just got released also a hey Look what got released!)

It technically has DRM it's explained a bit in this reddit post, TL;DR:
Is that Square Enix is got super lazy and didn't remove the Steam DRM from the game so GOG had to essentially jerry rig the game to even function by rerouting all of that protocol functionality to call upon GOG Galaxy instead so it's at the moment requiring GOG Galaxy to be installed and an internet connection.
Hopefully it all gets sorted out soon but it's more on Square being uh... lazy

This is a very interesting case. Square Enix/eidos gave GOG the unprotected binary but they left all the Steam stuff intact, probably because Square Enix didn't want to waste any of that sweet MTX money on dev work. So GOG had to add a platform bridge called Ghost to the game. It's a wrapper that translates the Steam calls and redirects them to GOG Galaxy so the DLC get unlocked. This brings us to the unique situation where a GOG game, for the first time ever, actually needs a crack, which is essentially just a normal Steam crack without custom platform bridges.
. Square ultimately used denuvofree binaries but let GoG team to emulate steamcalls for some reason

Hey look an official GOG thread! neat!

GOG Galaxy 2.0 got a new update today that added Official integration support for the EPIC games store (woo?)

Which is kind of neat in that if you do use it, it won't constantly disconnect you anymore or require login requests anymore since it's official (Like the only other one the Microsoft one!)

In other News if you missed it:

There was some bigly name Warhammer games released onto GOG last week:

[UWSL]Warhammer: Chaosbane[/UWSL]
[UWSL]Battlefleet Gothic: Armada[/UWSL]
[UWSL]Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2[/UWSL]
[UWSL]Space Hulk: Deathwing[/UWSL]

They also gave out a free game for one of the older warhammer games already on GOG!

I already had the game apparently so I if you missed out on the giveaway and want to own: Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War on GOG give a shout out

I found out that Summer Challenge and Winter Challenge (published by Accolade in 1991 & 1992) came out on GOG at some point - I've been hoping this would happen for a while now, those games were among my childhood favourites!

Now get Lemmings, Prince of Persia 1+2, Ski or die and SimCity (1990) on GOG (and/or Steam, obv)!

I think those were released just a couple of weeks ago!
I remember the ice skating being bugged, so you can never complete the third lap. I believe it was some sort of copy protection?

Yes, I remember that bug too! I havent tried it out in the GOG version yet, tho. It was interesting to actually read the manuals to these games btw, having only played a clearly pirated version when I was a child (my brothers mustve copied those from some friends, I guess).

Mine too! These games are among those not readily available on digital stores, but I still have them somewhere. Many other childhood games eventually came to GOG or even Steam (I always wonder why they release some older games only on GOG and not Steam, btw), but many are still missing...
