Is it time to start hyping PS6, the melter of worlds and bringer of world peace?
i swear to god if we get Yakuza and Persona in the same conference im gonna lose my shit
Yeah isn't that like actually illegal?I knew that the pricing of new EA games arriving on Steam seems off. EA used to have reasonable regional pricing before.
This is criminal. They increased the game up to 400% in some regions, then slap a discount so it matches the original price before discount previously.
No need to worry too much, all they got were indies and 2 were already announced a long time ago such as Solar ash Kingdom, Godfall and Oddworld, so yeah, don't worry too much.So many games from the showcase are EGS exclusives grrrr. Jet, Bugsnax, Godfall, Kena, Solar Ash etc. And without a doubt more on PC Gaming show.
Feels bad. Only P4G and (if true) P3 is Steam for the PC Gaming show.
I have a different perspective. All of these are AA-level releases that no one will give a shit about until they hit Steam. So many games from the showcase are EGS exclusives grrrr. Jet, Bugsnax, Godfall, Kena, Solar Ash etc. And without a doubt more on PC Gaming show.

Spiderman so far no?I wonder what the PS5 launch titles would be like. From memory, these things are never good games and extremely forgettable.
Exactly. Noone will be buying that stuff on EGS. No offense to the devs but with the EGS giving ‘bigger’ games away, what makes them think someone will buy theirs. Unless they only wanted the cash injection which is fair enough I guess.I have a different perspective. All of these are AA-level releases that no one will give a shit about until they hit Steam.
Yeah. Digital offers way too many benefits. I’m definitely getting that version.If/when I buy the PS5, I’ll get the Digital Edition. Most PS4 games are worth jackshit anyway.
Oh, is it? It looks decent enough, I suppose.Spiderman so far no?
Hah, Actually buying digital would be more expensive for me. But since I rarely buy games day1, it is a non issue.Yeah. Digital offers way too many benefits. I’m definitely getting that version.
-Midnight launch
-No taxes on psn (I pay 15% tax if I buy physical)
-I live in a rural area so outside of AAA titles its hard to find physical copies of games I want, even some Sony games are impossible to find.
-I have no space for physical games anyway.
-No impulse selling games then regretting it later like I do more than im willing to admit
- Cheaper console
But that's exactly the appeal for me.If/when I buy the PS5, I’ll get the Digital Edition. Most PS4 games are worth jackshit anyway.
Yeah, I just caught up with everything and this looks most interesting IMHO.PRAGMATA looks wicked.
I hear ya. Demon's Soul remains the best Soul in my heart, in maybe no small part because of the setting. Incredibly barebone but super on point 'Evil has won in this land, we don't know what's behind the mist anymore. What manner of perversion has fallen upon those left behind ?'
I think I'm good with Demon's Souls on RPCS3
Aye. They also didn't have much to show of it. I wouldn't be surprised if they FFXIII us and that's pretty much everything they've done on the game so far.Yeah, I just caught up with everything and this looks most interesting IMHO.
I mean, the S-E thing looks interesting as well. But it's S-E, has "Project" in the title, and is announced at a console announcement. The chance of that thing releasing in the next 4 years seems vanishingly small
Stop living your live in fear of EGS.I'm little worried about PC gaming show, I want to be hyped for it but every time I hear EGS on it will make me want to punch the screen.
I mean you are completely right, I cant even afford let alone play most games day one or year one. But I still don't want to see shitty stuff happening and not care about it.Stop living your live in fear of EGS.
We now have over 1year experience with it and while it might suck that you can't get the game you wanto on steam the truth is there's no shortage of awesome and innovative games being released daily. Maybe some of them wouldn't have had the positive reception and sales if the moneyhatted games had overshadowed them.
You don't need to play anything day 1.
You don't need that specific game to survive.
When it comes, if it comes, after the abduction period is over, you can get it cheaper and possibly more polished after 1 year of patches and new content.
It's an hobby, start treating it like one.
Same here. PS games get cheap really fast so in the long run it'll be more beneficial to just get second hand copies than digital. But that's exactly the appeal for me.
Their games get cheaper in no time, I can get a second hand copy for cheap. After I'm done, I can resell so it's basically a free game.

TLoU is a type of game that will review really well with game journalists. It getting a high review score is not surprising. When you read the review though, I found a lot that said that the gameplay is bad but the story is good, so another Death Stranding.TLoU2 at 96 MC and 95 Opencritic. I think we still might expect about 25-30 more reviews to come, but even if it has one or two outliers like quarter to three I doubt it'll impact the score for more than 2 points.
With that being said, some of the criticism I've read was pretty harsh. The gameplay not being a big step up from the first game (which wasn't all that great mechanically) is a bummer and some reviews mention bloat which can be potentially a big deal too. Other than that it seems to be a standard ND affair.
FOMO is a big problem I had, and probably fuelled a large part of my negative reaction to EGS. But it also taught me that I can wait for this shit and I don't need to play every great-looking game on the first day. It's a ridiculous feeling to have when you put it into perspective.Stop living your live in fear of EGS.

I admit I'm not thrilled about reading that they haven't much improved the gameplay in The Last of Us 2, as I didn't like it in 1.TLoU2 at 96 MC and 95 Opencritic. Shitty things will happen no matter what. Don't need to be worried by them, but also do not grow used to them happening. Just vote with your wallet and if we all do it, we can send our messages to the developers that EGS exclusivity is not a good practice.I mean you are completely right, I cant even afford let alone play most games day one or year one. But I still don't want to see shitty stuff happening and not care about it.
I think I played the first one on Easy ...because aiming with a controller is bad to begin with, but it was somehow even worse in TLOU.I admit I'm not thrilled about reading that they haven't much improved the gameplay in The Last of Us 2, as I didn't like it in 1.
I'm so playing it on easy this time.
And the Skill Up review comparing the story elements to the recent Game of Thrones season 8 or the new Star Wars trilogy is... worrying.
But I'll see for myself in a couple of weeks.
Isn't Skill Up a contrarian site which basically lives off hot takes? I'm more worried about stuff in reviews from Polygon and Kotaku. ND having a subpar gameplay isn't news tho, I wish they take that aspect more seriously, they're still making games after all.I admit I'm not thrilled about reading that they haven't much improved the gameplay in The Last of Us 2, as I didn't like it in 1.

Sonic Heroes HD when tho sega
I'm not saying you shouldn't care but at least wait for the reveal and confirmation it'll be an exclusive. There's nothing to gain by worrying ahead of time of what might happen to X or Y game.I mean you are completely right, I cant even afford let alone play most games day one or year one. Not sure in general, but he shared most of my thoughts on The Last of Us 1.Isn't Skill Up a contrarian site which basically lives off hot takes? I watch many of his reviews and I know ERA has his content banned, but why I don't know.Isn't Skill Up a contrarian site which basically lives off hot takes? The Kotaku review is also worrying, yes. I haven't read the Polygon one.
I guess I'll need to be in the right state of mind to play this game.
I didn't know he was banned on ERA, maybe I mistaken him with the other outlet, there's no shortage of them these days.I watch many of his reviews and I know ERA has his content banned, but why I don't know.
for a supposedly "gameplay trailer" it sure leaves us to fill in the blanks ourselves.wrong thread?
Setting looked great, the combat didn't strike me. Hard to say what it will turn out to be.
I watch many of his reviews and I know ERA has his content banned, but why I don't know.
It's because he is a co-host in his brother's channel Laymen Gaming. His brother said something rather controversial and because SkillUp is a co-host, his channel also got banned.I didn't know he was banned on ERA, maybe I mistaken him with the other outlet, there's no shortage of them these days.
I could see the gameplay having some immersive sim style approach to fighting, but that's about ito you guys think Ghostwire: Tokyo can be an immersive sim? Please let it be an immersive sim.
Goddamn,Waifu Arcana.
