A good deal always tempts me, but I'm not going to play Gears. I know it. $25 is crazy though.

Damn, Obsidian fell into the first person RPG hole. Sucks to see. The combat in those games has been trash every time. Fallout 3 onward is terrible, all Elder Scrolls games. Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 have fun systems, but I get they are too complicated for true mass market appeal. But Skyrim and co generally make for terrible RPGs. They are great games on their own, but not at the type I want to play.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to console myself with Baldur's Gate 3 whenever that actually comes out.

Open world Halo with no loads and a bonus grappling hook seems real cool to me as a fan of the series who hasn't liked the recent entries. If they find a way to integrate multiplayer into the open world too that would be awesome.

Im interested in Halo, but the graphics was dissapointing.

At least I don't need to buy an Xbox for Halo now.

That's a great deal! Is Gears Tactics worth it? I know many people were very enthusiastic about the first few missions, but I heard it got repetitive really soon...
I really enjoyed it, but you are required to play some side-missions to progress the story and the side missions are quite bland and repetive, but outside of that, I really enjoyed it, 8/10 from me.

Basically there are 3 acts. Act 1 requires 1 side mission, act 2 requries 2 side missions and act 3 requires 3 side missions.

raytracing update should help a lot with the look. i just appreciate MS for going solid 60fps/no loads over more shiny stuff, not often you'll see that these days on a console.

I agree that the combat will very likely pale in comparison to party-based TB or RTwP RPGs, but that's the trade-off immersive-sim RPGs (Morrowind, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Ultima Underworld, Deus Ex, etc) make. There is a lot more to RPG gameplay than combat too.

Memu, the android emulator, seemingly requires that I activate AMD-V to work well. Is there a downside to activating this virtualization feature in bios ?

Infinite running 4k/60 on XSX as an open world game means the graphics will take a hit. But the gameplay looked fun. Like a mixture of new Doom games and Rage 2 mixed with Halo.

Now the question is if the story takes a hit in any way. They are chasing the Destiny map checklist crowd so hopefully it doesn't take too big of a hit.

I bet they do Battle Royale mode for multiplayer. Everything is in place for it...they just need servers to hold large population.

No. Every Android emulator need that to work, even if you use Intel.

And what about my google account ? Is the communication directly between me and google or is it passing through Memu ?
Should I make a new account ?

Are the performances as good as on the real hardwares ?

Damn, playing Drakengard really made me thirsty too see if SINoAlice was good.

I mean, I could buy a smartphone and enter the 21st century, but the good ones are deliriously priced.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has good press but the reviews make a point to tell that game perf are what they are.

I use different Google account just for emulators. For game login I use either that account or dummy Facebook account. And yeah the performance is as good as on the phone, even better because you don't need to feel the heat on your hands.

And actually you don't need Google account at all. Just download the apk from third party websites.

No, but you should probably be using Mumu rather than Memu (fuck these names).

I investigated Android emulators for gaming a while back and that seems to be the least bad option. (Taking into account performance, ads, and how much of your data they sell)

no free upgrade ... no paid upgrade ... not even a discount for previous owners

yup, it's a squeenix release alright
Shameful.

Making OG launch day owners pay 100$ total for what Switch owners paid 60$ for. And people who waited pay only 40$ now.

And vanilla version still up for 60$ too wtf. And vanilla version was 1 year delay from JP version anyways.

They are the worst.

Well, that was a very nice conference. Everwild and Darkide were the big ones for me, but I'm not going to lie, I'm interested in Stalker 2 too.

Also, unrelated but per-thruster application of force at location is back in SC 3.10 and I am joy.

Im just sitting back as I watch PS-only and Xbox-only players hatch out at each other.

With PC and PS5 I get the best of both worlds next-gen. Until Sony starts releasing mroe games on PC of course. Hopefully PS5 will be the last PS console I need.

That's another big issue. I can see many people falling for the vanilla version trap on following sales from SE if they dont know there's an upcoming S version around Dec dated.

At this point I feel every decision SE takes is to keep funding their FF XIV golden cow :toucan:

Also, I think for MS it is now less important if you own an Xbox. I bet they would put Gamepass on PS5 if they could.

As long as you keep paying the subscription.

Personally it made me feel good that I'm back with my PC hah
