Today’s update introduces a powerful tool to help the community regulate negative behavior amongst its ranks — Overwatch.

My mind went places with that title

Yup, it's not going to take long for resolution. My personal guess is that they will pay.

When Valve wins, they need to make a new controller and call it Goliath.
They won't win this one, there's already a similar case in place and MS paid even before they went to trial. This Ironburg company is a fucking patent troll. Literally.

Discord only, do not worry tho :cat-heart-blob:
Do we the price of the Yakuza remasters?
My bet is 40$, no, I'm not joking, it will probably be a bit cheaper than PS pack, we will see.

I really wanted to love my Steam Controller and for a while I did. But in the end having to manage and learn the inputs for each new game wore me out and I reverted back to (couch) keyboard and mouse. And the Dual Shock works almost as well for me as long as I get the gyro working.

The Frontier, NEW VEGAS mod taken down because one of the developers of the mod is a pervert. :blobyikes:

God fucking dam it. That is AWFUL for the rest of the dev team on this. Was really, REALLY looking forward to this. Good on Nexus mods for absolutely no fuckery with this. Disappointing barely scratches the surface

Assuming thats the price the Steam version is getting, not the greatest regional pricing but not the worst either, I'll take it.
I was fully expecting a $60 price tag so ill take $40 with passable regional pricing lol

the pricing on the individual games is atrocious though. $55cad for all 3 or $30cad for one? Wtf $20usd is not $30cad.

To be honest I was expecting an even worse price than this one, of course if SEGA follows the same price that is on Windows Store.

I'm told it was the artist that did the Pip Boy animations so hopefully they can replace whatever work he did for the game?

Hope they will remove all the content made by this person.

Googling that I found more criticism for the mod and the devs saying they sent threats?

Also that there's dubious content in the actual mod itself, abuse of young folks and stuff.

Also that it's kinda shit in story and outside the impressive mod work. Cba to investigate.

No. I'd have sex with 7 (virtual) Keanus if I want to, thank you very much!

It's $60 Dingo Dollars here, so at $20 per game it's still a good value, considering how much content there is.

Yeah, I woke up to the news. It looks like half of the dev team has left, and it's on the verge of collapsing. The Steam version is definitely going to get cancelled. What a fall from grace.

Re: the medium

Not unlike Bloober Team’s earlier Layers of Fear, the story is prone to tone-deaf tropes. For example, it reaches to empathise with the paedophile artist who abuses one of the characters, voyaging into the psyche of the abuser during the first of a handful of jarring perspective changes.

Posting more Yakuza Collection screenshots to tide us over until its release on Steam (about ~14 hours to go). They're not the best, but it's all we got.

EDIT: +an early review.

Sadly, the games do not seem to offer high refresh rate support despite allowing players to choose 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and higher output modes. The included frame rate caps also fail to properly control frame pacing, so if you want the smoothest, most-consistent gameplay possible, you’ll need to use a driver-level solution or 3rd-party application. Ultrawide works, though it simply adds black bars to the sides of the screen and is not fully supported.

Much of the games’ cutscenes are pre-rendered and when put against the actual game, look really rough. They were captured at a low resolution with low bitrates that lead to excessive aliasing, blur, color banding, and compression artifacts. I’ve not seen the console version of this collection, but I would assume this is simply how the games are presented and is not a byproduct of the PC port itself. I found the audio quality to be lackluster with dialogue and music cues having lots of audible encoding compression.

Weren't they all aware of this the whole time?

How do you develop something for 7 years and not notice this?

No framerate over 60 and no FOV slider, eh? Seems like quite a downgrade from the previous ports.

Since the port was handled by QLOC, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bug, considering Kiwami 2 was also kind of scuffed, although they did fix most of the issues post-launch.

Well, there are only 3 framerate settings in the options - 30, 60 and Auto. Doesn't seem like it's a bug. The fact Kiwami 2 only got a FOV slider in a post-release patch makes me hopeful, though.

Ah, I see. I thought "Auto" will respect whatever the refresh rate is reported by Windows. Either way, I'm not too concerned about that if the frametimes are consistent.

[UWSL]anyway, playing through Jedi Fallen Order via the EA Play $1 Steam deal and really enjoying it, for the most part[/UWSL]

Same here. It's a decent game, but it's baffling that most (if not all) gameplay mechanics are litterally copied from other popular games. I'm 15 hours in, and I haven't encountered anything so far that wasn't been-there-done-that for me.

Just gonna buy Yakuza 3 for now since I can't afford the collection. I´ll get the other two when a deal comes along after I'm done with Y3. I wish I could buy the whole thing to support this release more, but no dice.

Funny how they put FidelityFX CAS in these remasters but not the actually hardware intensive one, Kiwami 2.
Shine on you crazy diamond, QLOC.

Maybe this is what Valve caught just before the game went live on Steam? It's the kind of thing that could easily delay a Steam release whilst letting the Nexus version go live.
