EA was hacked:
One of these days, one of those accountants is going to go "maybe we should spend preventively on security".

It's not like the hackers can do anything with the code given that anyone using it will be sued into corporate oblivion but I am curious about a lot of under-the-hood things with frostbite. Of course, seeing fifa get stolen is just shadenfreudedly delicious.

I wonder how popular CoD actualyl is on PC. Been playing Cold War MP today and the majority of players are on console.
Probably like <10% at most.

When I played Warzone I remember seeing only like 1 Bnet user for every 10 players. Sometimes even less.

I don't have any numbers to back it up atm, but I do think CoD being BNET only these days is hurting the popularity.

Back when they were still Steam games, and before Warzone which I think is fairly popular on PC; CoD sold 20M+ on consoles and didn't even break the 500k milestone on PC. That was also the meme of the day when ONE player total was looking for a match up on the Microsoft store.

The franchise was run into the ground in spectacular fashion. I somehow doubt that being Battle.net exclusive helps in any way.

Hey folks, it was suggested that I start giving a heads up about our co-op events in here for those that might be unaware of them or have wanted to join in the past but didn't realize they were still occurring. Due to the long hiatus with the events last year I totally understand both.

A brief summary of how these work for those curious is we get together once or twice a month, usually on a Friday, to play a wide variety of games. Generally co-op stuff but we have played lighthearted competitive games such as the Jackbox series or Kopanito All-Stars Soccer. It largely comes down to how many folks we have and then finding a game everyone owns or someone can host. We're also going to be introducing a board game night soon that will be in addition to our usual events.

The other important thing to remember is that skill level doesn't matter and voice chat is never required. The main thing is having fun and sharing that with others. If a game isn't quite your taste then be sure to speak up. We don't mind switching things up and finding another that works better.

You can find more in the co-op thread and I'll include the countdown timer here too.

Man, Death Stranding is a weird game. Seeing it through will require patience, but it does have a strange appeal. I'll probably take some breaks from it though, I will definitely get tired of it if I don't play other stuff in between.

Ok, this is weird, only saw Blu's post after writing mine.
Don't tell me they announced a Director's Cut?

Holy shit! They did...

For a second I thought Yoshida said Soul Sacrifice and was pretty excited. Turns out it wasn't.

Well Queen did say she heard that they were bringing WoW classic to Steam at one point, it's possible we'll see Activision fully return to Steam if they aren't seeing good numbers on Battle.net.
Big companies often move slowly, something like a return to Steam could easily take 1-3 years from initial discussions to it actually happening.

I'm massively relieved by that Elden Ring trailer to be honest. The leaks had so much recycled spells and assets from the DS games, this couldn't be any more different. Cautiously excited until we hear more about gameplay.

That looked nice. Dark Souls 4 basically. But since it's not a direct sequel hopefully good cohesive & unique world design etc. all over again like the first Dark.

Possibly more open and seamless given landscapes and horses and stuff. Maybe fresher types of enemy behaviours and numbers and movesets to beat them.

Ooh, 60fps on the tube!
