I'm sure some will cancel and Valve can still switch some EU, where everything is still Q1, stock to US.. I doubt anything but power brick is different. (and even that might be universal with switchable end)

Decided to finally give N++ another shot after purchasing it ages ago and not really feeling it back then. Still an uphill battle trying to get good at it, but I can't say it's not rewarding once you start getting a handle on things. The sheer amount of content is insane also.

I mean we have had Steam Os and Proton 1-3, Big Picture, the Steam Controller API all developed from Steam Machines.
Also the Steam Controller was unsupported? I mean the thing has been supported a long time after they stopped making and selling them.

Can't really agree with Kotaku in calling Deck a waste of money.
The hardware you are getting in return for your $$$ is really good. Like really good mobile X86 device. Even if you become disappointed with it as a PC gaming device over time you can still turn into an emulation power house or just watch Youtube/Twitch/email/browse the web etc. Installing Windows elevates the value.
So unless you are able to pick up some new surface tablet for 50% off then Deck is as good as it gets for the form factor. You go to a store now a buy a 400 or 500$ laptop it will have shit specs for the most part. And it won't be a well thought out gaming machine.
So none of the 3 models are a waste tbh. Even the low end with an SD card will be an amazing gaming time for whoever picks it up. Nintendo is selling people PS360 era hardware for 350$ like come on no one complains about Switch being waste of money. You also have to pay for online play and 1st party games never have good discounts. Steam is the ultimate 3rd party platform and you will be able to play things like Elden Ring on it. Even if a Switch Pro comes out tomorrow there is still no guarantee it will get anywhere near the 3rd party support Steam gets because Devs would still have to individually port things to the new Switch.

Pretty much my response about why I didn't buy it. With an added bring everything to everywhere instead of locking games to Sony & Nintendo on the future of the series.

Told them that the pricing was not adequate compared to what the remaster and port offered, that having a DLC to a remaster is a bad taste and pointed them to C&C Remastered Collection, Mafia: Definitive Edition and even their own Persona 4 Golden PC port for comparison (both when it comes to the effort put and pricing).???
