NijiEN has been on a roll lately. With Selen's "One more go, that was a bullshit death." Bloodhunt stream and Pomu's "Extreme" Superchat reading stream the other day. If you want the word "bro" to lose all meaning then watch that stream, holy crap by the end of the stream that word had no meaning whatsoever after hearing it so much together with Radical and Extreme. Five hours of superchat reading and 600+ Sheep and Skellymen later it was over. Like a fever dream.

I kinda worried that once Niji started in on EN, they would go hard fast into it. On the JP side, there are so many amazing Niji JP talents that I have been unable to keep up with even a fraction of them.

That said, I really have enjoyed their EN talent so far. I actually membered Rosemi and Selen.

Bit busy at work now and have too many streams to recommend so you should all watch PRISM Project/Phase Connect/Tsunderia and NijiEN and Hololive and some Indie VTubers! Mii-chan (Tenma) streams have been great lately, Meru from Tsunderia and Pina & Rita & Shiki from PRISM with a bunch of HoloEN catchup streams like Sana's 12 hours of Deltarune.

Don't forget VOMS who have two new members who are starting strong!
... and the NijiEN Gen 4 Debuts this weekend!

It's crazy how far the EN side has gone from searching around and waiting for translated clips and compilations and watching JP streams with LiveTL in chat and then that gradually reaching a point where i had evenings spent happily watching and catching up on streams to now where there is more content than you can watch in a lifetime released each week between JP/ID & EN.

What a mad few years it's been and long may it continue.

Sora is having an amazing time! She's loving this afternoon. She visited EN and loves the countryside feel to it compared to JP side, then she met Kanata, Bae and SANA and wandered with them for a while, then had a tour with Ina and is now showing Ina around JP server but mainly the Sora bits.

She's loving looking around EN, showing the JP server and practising her English with the EN girls. Happy Sora, and chat is dying from cuteness overload both JP & EN.

edit: now showing Sora station and whoah, this'll be great when it's finished. i know Sora said she's making it for herself so she doesn't get lost and she gets motion sickness at times but on minecart rides she can close her eyes and relax a bit.

edit: Yup, Sora in full-on Big sister Mode showing little sister Ina around the big city, lol.
Ina just got permission for a Tako Bell at the Sora Station Mall Botan is helping build and Sora wants an EN Terminal too.

I am absolutely loving they joined the JP and EN servers. There have been so many cool interactions amongst everyone that never would have happened without trying to take the time to set-up a collab.

I was a bit disappointed that there was no big opening stream but let's see what happens at the weekend when the ID girls get their own server too and works starts on their portal to JP Server. I wonder if there will be an event then?

Aside from that bit of grumpiness, the bits and pieces of unplanned collabs have been good. I like how people are now planning and stating it's an EN or JP server visit rather than a general minecraft stream where they decide halfway through to go for a wander. I'm sure i've missed a bunch of things but i'll catch up with clips.

The JP girls seem to really like the countryside aesthetic of EN Portal area and i'm sure the main area by KFP/Christmas Tree etc will expand as more people move around between places and the JP girls claim land. Botan has already claimed land for a Menya Botan and Sora says there'll be a Sana Big Panya on JP side too.

There's fun times ahead with JP/ID & EN servers and i'm sure each one will have it's own identity and feeling even with everyone mixing it up. Good times.

Hopefully there will be more collabs outside of minecraft as people meet up in MC, start talking and arrange other things.

HoloID have a Grand Opening Building Relay...



To clarify, Moona was playing Minecraft and asked if HoloID could have a server but as there were only 3 of them and it was before the big rise in popularity and before Gen5 & HoloEN & Gen 2 ID debut they were offered to join JP server as it could hold 3 more with no problem. Now there's 6 HoloID girls they'd like to have an MC server of their own as it's a good place to collab and bond and they can put an ID spin on things.

They're bulding the Portal soon but plan to actually open it up later after they've built a few things and they're comfortable to let people in and mix things up.

NijiSanji EN Gen 3 is amazing. I think Nina Kosaka is my favorite and I'm really happy she seems to be EU-based and streaming at really friendly times. That's still a rarity in the EN Vtubing world.

I was watching Pomu/Finana, Pina, Meru and IRyS streams until stupid o'clock this morning so i'll be catching up with the Niji EN3 Debuts sometime this weekend. I just didn't fancy watching Debuts when i was so tired that i'd probably be grumpy about them.

Good to know you liked them though, i'll be looking forward to it later on.

It's kind of annoying on a technical level to listen to the debut vods with the Obsydia commentary, since you need to manually align each of them, but it's worth it. My personal highlight was Selen calling Petra Reimu's fake wife because "she doesn't even know her Apex rank".

I like how Miu and Ryu don't exaggerate their characters (yet), I hope they keep it that way, Ryugon didn't seem to watch a lot of vtubers before applying, I like both of them, Gyari knows how to choose.



Also Pikamee literally built everything on the VOMS server, it's really good to see the new members enjoying themselves exploring. Now she has new friends to play Minecraft with!

I wrote about 3 HUGE posts to Li Kao and deleted them before i ended up saying "Read the MC VTuber thread. from the start as it has great stuff in it" lol. I'd forgotten how many recommendations of channels and clips i had until i had to write them down for someone and realised it would overwhelm them and that the thread is actually a pretty good build up to finding youself lost in the rabbit hole.

All while watching Pina Pengin playing Resident Evil.

edit: Poor Suisei, the JP side are realising that certain legendary features of EN Server are real and can hurt you. Great solo stream and expect a Tour Collab soon as she said she wants to come back with a guide. SuiSeIRys would be a potential for great singing and wandering but IRyS doesn't know the server too well so it'd be great to have a Myth member with them.

I'm biased though as i love the SorAZ MC streams where they wander around doing stuff and singing to themselves and i'd love an EN version.

In case you aren't aware, the background for this is this Selen/Restya/Uto Apex collab. It started off normal enough, with Selen being toxic, Uto being cute, and Restya trying his best to navigate the minefield, but evolved into an unexpected marathon stream which brought Selen to the breaking point.


So far, none of the new NijiEN members seems like someone I would watch entire streams of (to be fair, that's basically just Ina and Selen), but this is pretty good:

Sana's Celeste B-Sides stream last night was a work of performance art but i can see her starting to get strict with chat and reigning them in a bit soon. We had almost an hour of "Sorry" jokes and supas last night before she blew up the world and went back to Celeste.

I swear i will post some non-Holo streams soon. I have been watching Pomu, Finana, Selen, Tenma Mii-chan, Pina Pengin, Nyannera Final Fantasy X Completion VODs and some Maeru from Tsunaderia but mainly i've been back on HoloEN.

Watame's concert is pretty fun so far. It's a little weird that there's no cheering from the crowd because of the COVID restrictions, but that's the way it goes.

I caught a few minutes of Kiara's watchalong and she and everyone in chat seemed to be loving it, then Watame made them all cry with a sad story and cheered them up with a song so it's all good. Great to see it going so well for her, Watame has worked damned hard towards this moment.

In terms of production, it looks pretty good, 3D tracking is smooth, and the presentation (projection?) looks cleaner than Holo 2nd fes. Clearly, SPWN is not Youtube and there are compression artifacts everywhere, even on 1080p. But I'd imagine the IQ will be much cleaner in the blu-ray. Sound mixing is good too, channel separation is cleaner.

Following on from ilheart from Compile Heart and Obake-PAM from Play-Asia, Crunchyroll-Hime had her debut today.

Ollie's Birthday stream was 5h 40m and had 54 or 55 guests, lol. She wanted more but management basically said, "Holdup, you've got enough! It'll be a million hours long!" lol. Some people couldn't make it but they were there for the Countdown stream so she's gotta have the record for most Birthday guests surely? As expected from the mega-simp!

This Selen Phasmophobia stream is fantastic but after 6 hours i'm going to bed. The part with Selen and Ethyria doing a n00b run was amazing and then Pomu joined and told them she was malding in chat when watching them while waiting to join. Pomu's great.
