Prince of Persia Franchise Bundle is 82% off:
Prince of Persia '08 is the only one I don't own. Just wanna make sure, they never ported the ending DLC to PC, right? I liked the game fine back then but if it's incomplete then I'm not willing to waste even 2 bucks on Ubisoft's shit.

And didn't i predicted that people will be disappointed with GTA Remasters XD And while i respect everyone right to like and play whatever they want i simply can't accept that people don't see issues with those Remasters.

You're correct. For whatever reason, Ubisoft has not ported the Epilogue DLC to PC.

Here's a review from a couple months back:

tried PoP '08 but bounced off; the mechanics and pacing just didn't really click with me. I liked Forgotten Sands better, though I wasn't able to finish it due to some sort of collision detection bug on one of the last few levels (there's a horizontal pole the Prince is supposed to swing from, and no matter what I did, he kept falling to his death instead of grabbing onto it)

The last platforming section in the Forgotten Sands is really good where you have to use all of the different powers together in rapid succession... and that's it. That's where the game ends. :crying-face:

It's honestly impressive how easy this company consistently makes it for me to skip their games lmao. And 10 years ago I would've considered Assassin's Creed as one of my favorite series. Shit, they finally confirmed a new Splinter Cell, something I've been wanting for years, and at this point I just can't bring myself to care.

Steam Deck delay in the privileged regions means even more delay for us in the unprivileged regions. :mion_cry:
I think releasing the Deck around the world is a lot about Valve entering some kind of deal with various partners around the world. I assume so far they have been busy just getting the software and the store where it needs to be hit the December date. If the Deck delays are just about production, there's no reason why Valve couldn't at least start looking into how a more global distribution of the device might work.
So it doesn't seem entirely unreasonable to assume they would still hit their target of shipping the Deck in more regions by the end of 2022.

Pretty bummed about the deck delay. Not that I don't have other things to play, of course, but I think about how great it'd be to use it basically every day at this point, that's just how my life is at the moment.

Fair point, but global silicon shortage is an ongoing issue, and even though regional distribution deals may be already in place as the best-case scenario, I remain sceptical about our chances of getting the Deck in the Oceanic region by the end of 2022. Especially when TSMC is already operating at maximum capacity to meet demands from other hardware companies as well.

Got bumped to after Q2 2022 for the Deck, as expected. :weary-face:

Oh well, not too broken up about it. Means I can build a new PC early next year without having to worry about another expensive hardware purchase right after. Once I saw the news about the delay I looked at the OLED Switch on Amazon but I keep having to remind myself that I don't want one lmao. It was a bit harder this time, though...

I do really want to play Mario Odyssey and 3D World and BotW but I'm still salty the Mario remasters were pulled from sale for literally no fucking reason.

But yeah, I'm gonna have to pull the trigger and start buying PC parts soon because I'm in that weird position where I don't want to buy a console cause I'd rather play everything on PC but my PC is old enough for new games to be running worse than I'd like, so I hold off on buying them lol. At the very least a mobo/CPU/RAM upgrade would allow me to get a little more out of my 1660 because I'm confident it's getting bottlenecked pretty hard right now.

Expected the delay, but it's still unfortunate to those who are looking forward to it soon.

Thunderflow showed quite a number of interesting games in the stream. But honestly, developers and publishers need to slow down. No one is able to keep up and play your games. The number of games being announced or released lately is truly insane. I have gotten to the point that I don't care anymore because there are just too many nice looking games available.

im going to buy them when they get on steam

as I own all of them (Ignore the not played timers lol)

But I mean when was the last time people played some of those GTA's? They weren't like amazing anyway to go back to after you got used to 4/5
I was doing a San Andreas playthrough when they announced the trilogy and put it down so I can play when it finally arrives on Steam. It wasn't too bad with some mods, but yeah as you said it was a difficult trip back in time as I was also playing IV.

There are some surprising ways to do a mission in those three games unlike 4 or 5. Like beating up a runaway vehicle of the guy you need to kill before going after him, or trying to enter the golf club in Vice City without surrendering weapons. All of them are masterpieces in their own way. I honestly like all of them equally.

With Steam Deck I'm guessing that part of the delay may be software stuff?

So there are 3 different scenarios.

Scenario 1: Valve noticed that there would not be a lot of Steam Decks ready (let's say that they only had 500 units that they were able to produce and at least 3k Is what they had planned to release as the first way (I think there are what 3 regions? So the first wave would be less than 10k units? It's possible that part of the delay was that that they found an issue late into the game and wanted to swap out a part or something. So of the Steam Decks that they have now they plan to send those to devs. Something else about the lack of availability would also be RMA stuff for when stuff gets broken on the first batch of models.

Scenario 2: there still is a ways to go before they can get a good software support on the system. Initial testing were good but as they have been contacting devs about what games do and do not meet the certified criteria, this may actually be the reason and also the main reason why we are seeing "UPDATES" in certain games (some of it is on the Steam side but you still have devs that are doing stuff to support the Steam Deck).

Scenario 3 is sort of a mix of both 1 and 2 where they just want to send as many Steam Decks as they can to devs, but if that's the case what's the real difference between a mass production Deck and a Dev Kit one? Are they converting some of the mass production ones into devs kit ones after all? We have already mentioned how big name devs have gotten a Steam Deck and it's even possible that more and more of them have decided to support the device (which takes time).

In a nutshell it would look a lot better if when you looked at your Steam library on the Steam Deck and seeing a bunch of green check marks. And fixing stuff isn't something that is just done overnight and maybe even 2 months is not enough time to get the game patched to support Steam Input and also have UI options that make it easy to read on the Steam Deck.

Regarding the Prince of Persia games:

I used to own Sands of Time and Warrior Within on PS2 and considered the as quite good games.
So almost 10 years ago I decided to rebuy the games on Steam to give them another go.
I decided to start with Warrior Within.

And I got to say, either my memory was messing with me, or there really is something off with the PC ports.
The game (WW) was so... lifeless. It seemed like either sound or music was missing, because everything seemed totally dead.

And this is in the first sequence when your ship is on fire!

EDIT:

Watching some footage of it seems to confirm my memory. The soundscape is totally off. Sound effects lack punch and doesn't really match what happens on screen. Just look and listen to when something explodes (at about 3:58 into the video if the timestamp doesn't work).

Prince of Persia Franchise Bundle is 82% off:
PSA

For POP WW, lock the FPS at 59 so that the cutscene don't desync

For POP TT, download the uncensor patch Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Uncensor Mod

FunnyJay might want to look into this

Checked Steam forums and it may be issue with FPS. Try to cap 30 or 60FPS and see if that works.

You know what's both funny and sad at the same time, Skyrim is on everything, hell even Alexa. But it isn't on Mac.:minos_sad:

Not that I think I could replay it. There comes a point where you just have had too much of one game.

They finally know Switch is the future in Japan.
Tbh, I totally didn't expect that. With Ys anniversary just around the corner, I expected them to announce some pipe dream game ... like Ys V Renewal or something, but no. They announce this instead. :flare_lmao:

The interesting thing is, since it's in-house it will be built with their new engine, which is also what Kuro is running on. With Switch hardware being the way it is, we'll be lucky if it's not running at 5fps or something ridiculous. :flare_switch:

Boomer Shooter is quite literally the most annoying genre descriptor that was ever invented and I wish it would burn in a fire.
Also it looks exactly like this except without the rogue features

Yeah, same. I thought they would cycle between Kiseki and Ys. Surprised that they do another Kiseki next year.

The Switch game is going to run like turd, that's for sure:ROFLMAO: I wish it is a new IP though. They really need fresh audience.
