|OT| Post comething completely irrelevant!

I really enjoy the youtube channel Not Just Bikes.
It is a channel about urban planning with a special focus on comparing the car centric city design of the US and Canada with dutch cities.
As a first video I would suggest:

A longer video series about "Strong Towns" (why cities should build more dense walkable neighborhoods instead of suburbs):

This is more of a brag than anything else but since we don't have a cooking OT I'll just leave it here. Today I made risotto for the first time ever and, while not perfect, I'm quite happy with the result:

Amazon's interface is so utterly bad... I can't understand how they took over the world when the whole site looks like it was designed by an intern.

In the comments of the tweet there was also this :dizzy-face:

Dammit! I totally forgot that i needed to show proof of my date of birth and name so my documentation was not completed and i can't get stuff delivered from Japan because i've realised i don't have anything like that. No Passport or Drivers' license as i haven't left the country or owned/driven a car for years.
Dammiiiiiiiiit, now i have to try and figure something out quick. sigh.

I suppose the only thing i can do is apply for a passport which i've been planning to do but forgot about until now. GAH!

I actually said that to a friend after they removed dislike count. We both agreed it's to protect the big brands but i also pointed out that Youtube Rewind was battered with dislikes so Youtube were probably looking for a reason to hide dislikes and make themselves look good anyway.

It's all bollocks.

It has been the subject of repeated arson attacks, and, despite security measures and the nearby presence of a fire station, the goat has been burned to the ground most years since its first appearance in 1966. As of December 2019, the goat has been damaged 37 times.

I just found out about this goat a few days ago and I want to see it burn.

For anyone who wants to keep updated on what nonsense is happening in the cryptocurrency / NFT / "web 3.0" world:

There are words but i have none... and the circumstances behind me becoming aware of this playlist are way more bizarre than what any of you are thinking.

Here is Green Porno from Sundance TV "starring" Isabella Rosselini.

... sorry, not sorry. Watch if you want confusion and nightmares while you learn things you never needed or wanted to know. Enjoy.

Bizarre Christmas Eve Confession Time: I didn't know Quibi was a streaming service until it went bankrupt - To be more specific, the name made me assume it was some Chinese social-media site.

Like, it's got that energy to it, like "Weibo" I would say that's just Bullet-Point 9001 in why it failed though? I'd say it's a naming disaster when someone like me, in the intended demographic it was hypothetically supposed to be targeted towards, would assume from the name that it was just another Chinese Fintech Social Media site.

I'm european so i don't think i ever remember hearing of Quibi. A quick google says that Roku bought their programming but yeah you'd have thought a streaming service would have a better chance during lockdown and i do wonder if the name was part of the problem.

oh, Quibi was "QUIck BItes", 10 minute programming. the old name of NewTV was a bit of a dead duck too in my opinion.

Anyone else giggle like a child seeing "CBT" as the acronym popularised in online games recently?

Them: Sign up for CBT!
Me: (giggles) No. I don't think i will. (giggles more)

It's "Closed Beta Test" i know but you can't expect me not to laugh.

Live camera from the infamous Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo.

No lane markings wierds me out but i can see how they'd probably be a confusing mess.

WTF is wrong with people?

Besides the absolutely shitty way that the judge handled this...
Why the f**ck is this even a problem? A little bit of grass that did grow over a summer?
This must be the suburban hell I started to hear so much about in the last year.

Home Owner Associations can be a nightmare the world over but they seem to be especially horrid in small town america.
Also, as someone in the comments pointed out. How scummy are the neighbours that didn't offer to help an old man who is obviously seriously unwell and alone and instead they go straight to the local council and courts? Assholes the lot of 'em.
