Le Pertti and others.

I have thought about getting an ipad, or some other tablet. The last tablet that I purchased was the Nexus 7 2013 edition.
.
I was thinking of getting one mainly to show off photos, and to use mainly for showing portfolio work and possible design and stuff in the future.

I have never owned an iPad and I now know that there are like 4 different kinds or something.

I was even thinking of buying an iPod since they are now being discounted and never owned one of those but seeing how the one that I was planning on buying was about $400, I may as well just try to buy an iPad even though I don't own an iPhone or have a Macbook.

I'm more of a Android, Windows type of person.

There are also Samsung tablets as well but I don't know much about them and I don't want a lot of bloatware on my devices.

To go along my full playthrough of xenoblade 1 I decided to launch Soul Hackers on 3ds and the first approach was surprisingly underwhelming, to the point I wonder if I will continue. But keep in mind I’m quite depressed these days and my reading ocd is back.
How to summarize my impressions ?
It feels antiquated, everything is old. And nothing makes sense, the translation feels a little stilted. The script loves to sprout pseudo philosophic nonsense.

Where I’m at… (spoiler)
The protag, under the supervision of ‘Kinap’, a mysterious fox entity, just went through a ‘vision quest’, basically reliving the last instants of a major character. Then he inadvertently made it possible for his friend to be possessed by a demon. And he must now go rescue another friend from an evil corp.
And it’s all well and good, mr video game, just that you never took the time to flesh this story enough for me to give a shit.

I don’t know if I was just tired, if I’m not in the right state of mind, or if I would find it bad in any circumstance.

I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and I can tell you that for the first few days, I spent a fair bit of time getting rid of Samsung's various crapwares from it. It's a bit like cleaning up/debloat Windows 10 for initial use, let's put it that way.

Once I've done that, the experience is great. I'm not sure how the out-of-the-box experience would be on an iPad, but with Samsung I think you'll have to be prepared to do all these things.

Probably the best is not to go full on directly, meaning don't get the most expensive, iPad Pro, but something good but for a good price, like the new iPad Air, it doesn't cost a lot and is actually really good!

What games do you recommend for the Deck? I'm blasting through my library lately.
Vampire Survivors!

Other than that I've mainly been playing 2D platformers/adventures and VNs on it, and when they work they are great.

Also planning on continuing with SaGa Scarlet Grace on it, and grab the Utawarerumono trilogy next good sale.
Subnautica and it's sequel are both on sale for the same price right now. I've wanted to play these games for a while now... Should I just dive into Below Zero or is the first one worth playing?
Definitely start with the first one. Both are very good, but the first one might be a tad better even with some rough edges the 2nd irons out.

The only reason to pick any tablet over an iPad is because you hate yourself.

Give it a bit more time, it's a great game imo. I'm a SMT fanatic though so I'm biased.

Let's not worry about what Naroh says about non-Apple tablets. He's an Apple bitch through and through. :flare_lmao:

The first was an amazing game to experience so i'd start there. The second refines the format but its a bit trimmed down in scope.

I went straight to Below Zero as the setting was more appealing.
From all accounts, the first one is better.

Thanks!

I realized I own the first one on... EGS. :blushblob:

I'm going to give it a try there, and if I like it enough, I will buy the bundle on Steam.

The art style looks great and the character animations are amazing. The game itself looks stage based ( considering that most of the shots are from some kind of corridor), which I am not a fan of. Otherwise, I would be willing to give it a try.

Ahh, yesterday was a sad day. Since updating to Windows 11 I have been struggling with an issue where when I put any video in the browser in full screen, it would be offset by about an inch and I would see my background on the left and top sides of the screen. Very annoying. I tried many things over the past few months but with no results. Yesterday I decided to nuke my Windows because I could not stand it any longer and I have been using the same installation ever since I bought my laptop over 3 years ago, so I thought that a refresh would smooth it out a bit. So I nuked it, spent a few hours setting up everything back to see that my main issue is not fixed :minos_angry:

I have never been so tempted to install Linux like I am now.

Based on the "which of these games/series have you played before, and for how long?" questions in the beta test sign-up survey, it might be a combat-focused rogue-lite?
The website mentions "Explore Hollows with your Squad, fighting through changing labyrinths", so probably not open-world at least.

Trust me, don't skip on the first one. Without going too much into detail. The feeling of being alone on an alien planet with everything trying to kill you is not really present in the second game. The first game is the better one.

I played Afterparty for about an hour this morning and I don't think I'll bother finishing it.

According to SEGA's financial reports, they plan on releasing 16 games until April next year, 13 of them as multiplatform and/or global releases, and multiple remasters/remakes/spin-offs.

Also did this survey, everyone go for it and ask for Steam!!!! they are asking about remakes, remasters, ports and so, IT'S YOUR CHANCE TO SPEAK LOUD!

Now if only they could do a deal for a PC release of Judgement, stop selling their games to platforms instead of customers (ie fuck off making deals with EGS) and actually have decent regional pricing I might give a fuck about what the Japanese division actually does (will still probably grab Soul Hackers 2 though...).

Atlus being Atlus, Europe still does not exist...

Filling the form out to try an sign up for it, turns out nobody was born before 1980. At least on the mobile form.

Looks right up my street, might have to give it a try.

That sounds suspiciously similar to an issue I have in PowerPoint presenter mode ever since "upgrading" to Windows 11.

But I guess it would be unfair to expect Microsoft ensuring that the current version of their premium presentation tool work flawlessly with the current version of Windows, the premium desktop OS by their fierce competitor, Microsoft.

That's bullshit and you know it.
Let me know when Apple starts making tablets with OLED panels or when you can sideload non-store apps on them without jailbreaking the whole thing.
Let me know when Samsung makes tablets that aren’t completely unusable in less than a year.
I’ve used my fair share of Android tablets and all of those have been dog shit.
