Capcom's Big Announcement Is A Plug-And-Play Arcade Stick Packed With Classic Games

Among the games featured is Alien vs. Predator, with the UK price being at around GBP 200.

On the one hand, this is neat, moreso for anyone who hadn't bought any of the mini consoles released lately, or if you want an arcade stick.
On the other, regardless of price, it would've been nice if these games got a traditional digital compilation release.

Personally if Koch Media re 100% in this, I'd rather not get it, but for those interested in it, consider the possibility of being able to manually back up these games from the device.

FYI Castlevania Bloodlines is in both the upcoming Mega Drive Mini and in the Castlevania Classics Vol. 1
yeah, i know ... but i'm talking about all the other games :p it's not like they're gonna put Alien VS Predator in the Castlevania collection ;)

wait ... why are we talking about Castlevania? that's Konami, not Capcpom

I'm merely giving an example; although AvP is the main highlight here, the other games in this could get released in a digital compilation for consoles and pc.

they fucking better .... :p
The issue here is; which would be more profitable? An arcade stick periphiral with at least 1 licensed game+dozens of company owned titles for $250 or GBP 200 a-piece, or 3 compilations containing average of 5-6 games for $20 a piece (15 games for $60).
Which would sell more, or which would earn you the most income or revenue? (FYI they're not necessarily the same thing)

Yeah... No, I already have a stick. Don't even use it because I have a hitbox. So Capcom can keep this one.

I want a $50 bartop case for Switch and I'm set (I'd get a Switch if that was a thing haha). With the arcade stick controls embedded of course, not like that one crappy one that's just a huuuuuuuge stand. But this is a nice niche product too, not everyone has to like it. As long as it excuses the high price with quality.

I briefly used an icade with an ipad2 back in the day, bought it as a gift for my brother in law, and it was pretty damn awesome in use. But overpriced as it was made of something like really hard cardboard and they charged like 100 for it. It wasn't worth that much. But yeah something of that size/quality for Switch please. Oh and with somewhat neater shape so that it looks nice whether in portrait or landscape mode, landscape mode on the icade was a cop out.

I guess it should be made primarily for landscape to fit snugly as most games then allow taking some top off for portrait mode, something like that.

never? :p it's not a game collection
Technically it is, much like how prior mini consoles had set games in them.
It would be neat if it's moddable, basically make your own arcade cabinet sort of thing, although I have no need for one.
This is what matters imo. Yeah itd be pricey but depending on the games it has, it may be worth it.

Well it has a little over a dozen :v

Aside from sf2 and darkstalkers 1 that looks like a nice line up.
Good luck capcpom @o@-b

Can you even use the stick on PC or any console? No mention of it on the site, only an HDMI output, a Micro USB power and WiFi for leaderboards...
