29,6m ccu on Steam right now.

Seems like it's gonna get easier to cross 30m or be closer to 30m than it has been before.

Finished Shadow Hearts From the New World. I actually enjoyed it more this time. Back when it launched I couldn't get over how different the tone was and I always found myself missing the old cast.
But when you stop comparing it to the previous games you realize that it's a good RPG in its own right.

The Forest reached a new ccu peak.

Dark and Darker (DnD Tarkov) have the potential to become massive unless Sweeney pays to send it to the black hole.

Well, I just finished Uncharted 4 and now I continue playing Plague Tale: Requiem

I also installed Sackboy on Deck and after some fixing (I had a borked installation) it now runs great too. and I guess I will continue No More Heroes 1 and Persona 5 as soon as I can lol
I also finished Uncharted 4 and loved the game. The setpieces are great and the characters are so well-acted and likable (except for Rafe and Nadine lol)., Playing thru lost legacy rn, but kind of wished they ported the Nathan drake collection.

Netflix should have just done a couple seasons without Geralt.

Push the other characters and their side quests... then get Cavill back in like season 6 or something.

Recasting main character is too risky and will most likely tank the show. Oh well.

Three seasons of a series is pretty good these days. Most shows go to shit and fall apart regardless once they start reaching 4+ seasons so wtvr.

I mean it was average at best, if it wasn't related to a videogame series that I was interested in I probably wouldn't have given it the time of day.

In case anyone is wondering, Arkanoid - Eternal Battle is pretty alright.

It has a bunch of single player content, including the original Arkanoid (although sadly it currently doesn't play in full screen, it has an arcade cabinet "frame"), and the Neo mode (essentially a new Arkanoid game, with new power-ups, a catchy soundtrack, and the updated visual style), plus a bunch of multiplayer modes, including Eternal Battle, a 25 player online game mode in which the player with the lowest score is periodically removed, until there's 4 left, and they go into a final fight with a boss (until a single player remains).
Sadly, barely anyone is playing online, so you usually get 3/4 human players, and 21/22 bots, but it's still quite enjoyable.

I think the developers overestimated a bit the amount of players who enjoy the genre, and who are willing to drop 20€+ on a game, though (the full, non-discounted price is actually 29,99€).

Did they fix the mouse controls? Played the demo at the Steam whatever Festival a month or so ago and it was mouse smoothing up me bum, totally unplayable.

Also I like the new actor a lot less than the old one, so that isn't going to help here either.

Oh well, now I don't feel bad for still not having watched season 2. Don't think I'll bother continuing with the show at all now. Fuck Cavill for this. Like, shit happens and recasting a small part I can roll with that but the lead actor? That kills the show as far as I'm concerned. Hope his second stint as Superman is an even bigger disaster than the first one lol.

By the way it seems that this is Fromsofts way of saying good bye to Dark Souls 1.

This was the best way to experience the first game and with online not coming back up a lot of stuff was lost. I wonder if people still have the death map data. There was a map that was made where everyone has died since DS1 used nodes to pass data to other players. And that is now lost as well.

RIP

And also thank you Durante

Also I'm guessing that some of the people in the comment section don't know about the news about online.

I made a mistake

It looks like Valve will unveil Neon Prime in the next few hours. A Twitter account appeared for the game, but it could be a fake account.
If it turns out to be real whatever it is hopefully they developed it with the Deck in mind like the same way with Alyx/Index.

Reseller starts selling God of War 2 weeks before release date, devs and users complain about spoilers.

Sony deliberately doesn't want to release PC version day 1 and PC players need to avoid spoilers for at least year if not more, nobody cares.

I have never been spoiler averse. In fact I tend to have a habit of hunting down spoilers for shows, comics, games and anything I might be interested.

However screw anybody that puts spoilers out in plain sight for all to see and almost impossible to avoid.

I always remember reading a forum about Sixth Sense on the day I was going to see it when some dick just outright posted the twist up for it. Not hidden and in a non spoiler thread.

It always impressed me how restrained people where around the releases of the Force Awakens and Endgame.

As for the Witcher series. Still not finished the second series. But I am not the worlds biggest Witcher fan to start with. I don’t think I have ever completed any of the games. The books English translations have been lacking. The series main draw Henry Cavill. i might try and finish off the series before season 3 but I still need to watch Rings of Power, Andor and the most recent Stranger Things.

But losing Cavill means they have lost a massive pull for the series.

Well, my mouse is having some problems (really need to buy a new one; besides a damaged wheel, the mouse gets "stuck", and pretty much stops), so my current setup isn't really the best to notice if there's a significant amount of smoothing going on. :flushed-face:

But, even with my mouse problems, I had no major problems playing the game with the mouse (I actually tried playing with a controller first, but quickly switched to the mouse, since for these games the mouse is a lot more responsive), and the options menu (extended from the ones available on the demo) has some sensitivity options that should help players tweak things to their preference.

The game's free 48h trial period sadly ended yesterday, otherwise I would tell you to check out if the full game feels improved in your setup or not.

Signalis isn't the most perfect indiegame i've ever played, but the way it mixes the atmosphere of Silent Hill with a massive dose of "Yes, we've watched Neon Genesis Evangelion" in front of a German Space Communists setting is amazing

Will SMT's 30th anniversary be better than Persona's 25th? It's not like it can be much worse.

This week i started playing Metro 2033 Redux on Deck and i was really surprised to see how good game runs on Deck (Maxed out 60FPS most of the time or 50FPS locked). But because Metro 2033 was and still is kinda PC oriented game first (in my opinion) i didn't like gamepad support in that game. I didn't like separate menus for picking weapons and gear. So i tried to experiment a bit with Steam Input, and went to make Virtual Radial Menus for Gear and for Weapons. And oh boy was it an improvement. I used left trackpad for gear and right one for Weapons. I picked icons and named entries. Basically i built those menus from scratch. So now i can switch between weapons and gear on the fly without entering other menus.

And it works beautifully. I recommend you all to try and play with this option. Beside Radial Menu there are 2 more options. And to see it in action check this video

German Space Communism is arguably the best kind of communism.
But Alyx was amazing.
Really hope Valve is working on a new Half Life VR game and with a wireless next-gen VR headset launched in time.

As great as Alyx was I still would rather Valve focus on non VR for their next big single player outing

whenever that May be 🙄

I am not getting my hopes up for Neon Prime. That way I won't be disappointed.

Please reveal something good.

I've been firing up some games, in order to do some of the many Halloween events that are happening, and once again I fired up Minecraft Dungeons.

Every time I do so, I get the same reaction: "I really need to play more of this game!". :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

It's funny, I absolutely didn't connect at all with the original Minecraft, it's just not my thing, so I really wasn't particularly interested in this game, but ended up buying it last year, a bit of an impulse purchase, curiously enough to do a Halloween event, and the game is surprisingly fun.

I have a total of 20h played throughout the year, so basically all I did was I fire it up to do some events, and every time my reaction is the same: I really need to "properly" play this game, start to finish. This will be the year. :)

For those unfamiliar with it, the game is an action RPG (think, say, Diablo/Grim Dawn/Titan Quest, ...), but simplified quite a bit, to a point where it almost feels like a Gauntlet game, in larger maps.
I say that as a good thing. It's a great game to just plug the controller, sit back, and just hit and shoot at everything, while improving your character, and gathering new loot.

The aesthetics surprisingly work, despite its simplicity, the game does feel like a "grand adventure", and give it a certain old school touch.

And a final note on the soundtrack. I can't believe how awesome the soundtrack to this game is. It almost feels like a "waste", to have a soundtrack that is frequently moody, and haunting (one of the tracks you'll hear at camp, which I'll link to below, is a piano melody that is just wonderful), with a game with such simple graphic design.

---

With the season of big sales approaching, if anyone is on the lookout for a game that is great fun, with plenty of content, and the simplicity to appeal to a large demographic, be it old or new, "hardcore" gamers or kids who can barely pick up a controller, this one is well worth considering.
