Last Epoch combines time travel, exciting dungeon crawling, engrossing character customization and endless replayability to create an Action RPG for veterans and newcomers alike. Travel through the world of Eterra’s past and face dark empires, wrathful gods and untouched wilds – to find a way to save time itself from The Void.

Originally funded on Kickstarter (page here) by $255,378 out of $210,000 goal back in May 2018

Key Features
  • 15 Mastery Classes
Begin your adventure as a base class which can then specialize into one of three Mastery Classes. When specializing into a certain Mastery you will be able to access new skills and specialize your playstyle!
  • Customize each skill
Every active skill has its own augment tree that can completely change how the skill functions. Transform your skeletons into archers, your lightning blast into chain lightning, or make your serpent strike summon snakes to fight alongside you!
  • Lose yourself in the item hunt
Fill your arsenal with magic items you craft to perfection, change the rules of your build with powerful unique and set items, and always have that next upgrade just on the horizon with Last Epoch's randomized loot system.
  • Explore a vast world throughout time
The world of Eterra is home to many factions and secrets. Travel to different points in time to change the world's fate, and fight to set it onto a new path.
  • Endless replayability
With a wealth of classes and skills to customize, deep game systems, randomized loot, and continuing development, Last Epoch is a game that will keep you coming back.
  • Easy to learn, hard to master
We're committed to making our gameplay approachable through breaking up the required learning and being transparent. At the same time, overcoming some of the most challenging content will require deep knowledge and pushing your build to its limits.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“Beta will be available until our full release which is slated for April 2020.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“Our Beta is focused on implementing more content, including story levels, classes and skills, and end-game systems, as well as server-side multiplayer. Alongside new additions there will be many changes to existing systems and content to improve the polish and feel of the game.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“Currently we have a solid implementation of our core gameplay systems, and about half of our story content. Four of our five base classes are playable, each with most of their mastery classes and skills, meaning there is already a significant vertical slice of gameplay and plenty of variety and replayability.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“At full release, slated for April 2020, the game will be priced lower than early access. Supporting now lets your voice shape the design of the game, and earns you exclusive in-game cosmetics.”

This is the most bizarre early access pricing I've ever witnessed. The game will be cheaper at the launch of full version, for real?

Anyway, the game has controller support and it shall receive my support as well.

Interesting game.

What business model does Last Epoch have?

Last Epoch is a Buy To Play game which will enter beta on April 30th.

Buying the game & beta access costs $35. At release the game will be $15.

Post-launch the game will be supported by purely cosmetic MTX. We will regularly release free content updates which bring new zones, enemies, items, features, mechanics - and more! Our content patches will be released between Cycles (think Seasons in Diablo III, or Challenge Leagues in Path of Exile).
...and I'm out.

welp i fucking hate the trends in this industry .... thats weird ashell,
but at least they plan offline play , unlike others of this kind (probably just because they promised it on KS)
So the ability to play entirely offline previously was part of our old pre-alpha demos. We aim to release a new demo next month, and this won't require an internet connection.

The beta won't initially have support for playing entirely offline - our authentication systems aren't ready to support this yet, but we'll have it done in time for release. :)

Offline characters will not be able to go online.

That is bizarre business model that is most likely going to fail. It also makes zero sense. The EA pricing that is, not necessarily MTX post launch. Although, even there, I would think some sort of expansion model would work better as well.
