Guessing the english version will go live at the usual Steam time in 2 hours, I think?

Q: What do you hope to accomplish now that you have assumed the role of president?
A: I want to improve our profitability. I see ample room for improvement in our operating profit margin and would like to start
by working primarily on our HD games.
In addition, rather than solely attempting to create brand‐new IPs, we intend take a nuanced approach to investment whereby
we also identify existing IPs with the potential to be upgraded to AAA status, taking ROI into account as well. In so doing, we
hope to establish greater depth to the layers of our portfolio.
NieR Automata has sold almost 8million units with overwhelmingly positive feedback. From an August Q&A with Squeenix new president that was made public today, he wants to identify existing IPs that could potentially be upgraded to AAA status:
Nah just play Indie games. What I got from the Microsoft leak is that I really should get another hobby because gaming is going to shit.
I wouldn't pay much attention to acquisitions part of that leak, in a leak from a few months ago that was dated after that leaked email (2021), neither nintendo or valve were listed in their acquisition targets anymore (possibly due to how unrealistic they were?).What I got from the Microsoft leak is that I really should get another hobby because gaming is going to shit.
Fuck, it's today?It's Nayuta day!

Kingdom Hearts on Steam, A new Yoko Taro game, or me finding a girlfriend that loves me unconditionally, what will happen first???NieR Automata has sold almost 8million units with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
It's prime time for the next Taroverse game to get an AAA budget, and I am not even being a little sarcastic.
There's been new Yoko Taro games every year since 2021, but it's been just mobile games and voice of cards.Kingdom Hearts on Steam, A new Yoko Taro game, or me finding a girlfriend that loves me unconditionally, what will happen first???
ALL BETS ARE STILL OPEN!!
I think in the Epic v Apple trial there was a microsoft slide with their estimations of valve's revenue. Wonder if it's changed that much.
You reminded me about Voice of Cards and Dungeon Encounters. There's been new Yoko Taro games every year since 2021, but it's been just mobile games and voice of cards.
Im talking about real games for real peopleThere's been new Yoko Taro games every year since 2021, but it's been just mobile games and voice of cards.
That’s what scares me a bit.It has always been clear that Gaben will never sell. Really the question will always be "what will happen after Gaben?" Not only in acquisitions but in many others, will Valve continue with its horizontal structure? Will they think about going public?
Yes, and english patch is out.Fuck, it's today?
The first one will never happen so you can strike it off the list.Kingdom Hearts on Steam, A new Yoko Taro game, or me finding a girlfriend that loves me unconditionally, what will happen first???

I tried to pull up those old documents but AFAIK they have been removed. IIRC the Apple/Epic valuation was pre-COVID so it was likely a good chunk lower.I think in the Epic v Apple trial there was a microsoft slide with their estimations of valve's revenue. Wonder if it's changed that much.
Does NISA usually do launch discounts? I'm only holding off on buying in case they're simply slow to flip the switch on that...Yes, and english patch is out.
I was kinda hoping for a sale though. Not yet up on other stores either.
I don't think they do, but I was hoping they would since it's technically been out on Steam for a while, but I realize that doesn't really cound since it was JP only, lol.Does NISA usually do launch discounts? I'm only holding off on buying in case they're simply slow to flip the switch on that...
Also, it seems they brought back the launch-limited free Soundtrack, so that's cool. I was still kicking myself for missing out on it when the port first launched. Now Cold Steel III and IV will be the only ones I'm missing. I kinda hate NISA's practice of having bonuses that are only available at launch...
edit: Hmm, maybe? The entire add to cart section is gone for me right now lol
Yeah, I think it just disappeared while they were setting up the bundle. I went ahead and bought it from Steam directly. It's already kinda cheap, it's not like a small discount is going to make a huge difference in this case, unlike full priced games.I don't think they do, but I was hoping they would since it's technically been out on Steam for a while, but I realize that doesn't really cound since it was JP only, lol.
Not sure why it's gone for you, but they've added a "Launch Week" bundle, maybe it's acting up because of that.
It also looks like it's slowly appearing on other stores, i.e GMG. Personally waiting for Fanatical or Humble to come through.
Felt like they've stopped doing discounts since Trails Zero, all coupons/discounts seem exclude NISA titles these days.Does NISA usually do launch discounts? I'm only holding off on buying in case they're simply slow to flip the switch on that...
I for one will embrace the inevitable Sega purchase of Steam, to be implemented in the exclusively somnolent VR system Dreamcast 2 (a sleep-based gaming system like the fictional one in Hynospace Outlaw). I accept this.At some point Valve will get bought out, it is inevitable. Valve is a very small company among behemoths, one of them will swallow it eventually. Gabe's heirs will sell as soon as a gigantic offer comes in unless Gabe himself can make other arrangements that prohibit such a sale. In any case, like Reed Richards said:
The best we can hope for is that such a sale happens long after we are all half-senile old farts.
It's one of my favourite missions. I did it in two tries. The first try was because I ran out of ammo (how typical), so it's a slugfest to take care of the random MT stragglers. Taking care of G1 Michigan as simple enough, however, there are two drones that is flying outside the area of engagement that my plasma missiles can't reach, so I was forced to restart the mission. But "Intercepting the Redguns"... I must have spent at least 3 hours on it --- time spent reading rants about the mission on forums not included --- before beating it, and I tried soooo many different weapons and even different leg types in the process. (End result: maximum tankiness, minimum skill, dual bad cooks, dual songbirds.)
If I was Mr. Bandai Namco, I would have a serious discussion with the people in charge of making the page.
lol so predictable
Another one
Assuming the numbers about Valve making 6 billion in yearly revenue is true, then no, Valve isn't small. They are in monetary terms bigger than most publishers, except the absolutely largest ones, and there aren't that many of those out there. Purchasing it would likely require something in the same ballpark as the deal with Activision, which was absolutely bonkers itself. 40 billion quid. That's not something any company can spend, except the largest ones on Earth. Apple, Microsoft, and I guess a couple of oil giants, theoretically. At some point Valve will get bought out, it is inevitable. and the initial price wasn't even good, like, AT ALL, it was waaaaaaaaay above volvo's recommendationsLooks like WB removed MK1 from all of Latin America to increase the price? WB gotta be the worst publisher on PC lol
I'm sure that'll stop pirates.
It's back and at the same price here in Mexico.Looks like WB removed MK1 from all of Latin America to increase the price? WB gotta be the worst publisher on PC lol

It's effectively 'the Bloodborne we have at home' but at least it is very good.Lies of P looks really nice, clean, consistent and performs near flawlessly (so far) on a PC that usually struggles with new games. I thought I had enough of Souls after Elden Ring but it seems fun enough so far, maybe it was the generic open world bloat that wore thin instead of the gameplay style.
I think they've fixed it now.If I was Mr. Bandai Namco, I would have a serious discussion with the people in charge of making the page.
