New week, new thread! What are you playing?

One Piece Odyssey: Arrived at Dressrosa. Disappointed that the city is already under siege right at the start. I didn't watch the anime so I would love to see this beautiful city before the attack although development-wise it is reasonable.

Grindstone: Got this during summer sale and already put in over 10 hours into it in a span of two days. Yeah I don't have a life What an addictive and satisfying game. The developers nailed it.

Finished Shadow of The Erdtree. The end was a bit anticlimactic as in you beat the final boss and that's it. but in general I enjoyed it.

Now onto a new game, I might give Dicey Dungeons a spin.

Cool to know that someone else besides me on this planet played One Piece Odyssey too :face-with-tears-of-joy:

It's not flawless, but if you love JRPGs and One Piece, you'll have a great time with it :D

I started Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and got to chapter 3 so far. I also finished Shadow of the Erdtree but I'm thinking of playing through it again with my other character and following a guide this time to not miss anything.

And the last one is Forza Horizon 4, I had already played it through GP previously but with the upcoming delisting I bought it on Steam so I can still play.

I love One Piece. :cat-heart-blob: Odyssey is a good game. I yearn for more so please make a sequel.

I've been playing more Lords of the Fallen. I'm nearly done with a second ending, and didn't forget to make a backup save before I locked myself in for that one, so I can then rollback and not actually have to play through the whole game again (again), only the very last area.

That's one thing I really appreciate about Elden Ring and it's probably not something most people even think about, but you basically just get to pick an ending after the final boss, assuming you have met the criteria for more than one. It's not easy (maybe even impossible?) to accidentally lock yourself in one.

Tales of Arise. 48 hours in and kind of getting tired of the game. The story's pretty meh, the characters also pretty meh. Combat's getting staled because of the lack of enemy variety, (the amazing boost attacks helps the boredom though.) I'll probably finished it just because I'm in too deep. And I'm trying to keep, up above in my head, instead of going under.

Also tried Steelrising that I got from a steam trade, Spiders jank in a souls like:

Went and install Code Vein and Lies of P after that, both are pretty nice. I like the Lies of P parry mechanics and it seems easier than the first time I've tried it. Or maybe because I chose a different class than the first time. Both also ran pretty great and smooth for a UE4 game. LoP even has shader compilation!

Tried the Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess demo. I like that Capcom is in a good enough place financially to release a Japanese Mythology Tower Defense game in 2024. It's on game pass as well, so that's nice.

Where are you at? Speaking from personal experience, the second half of the game really put my patience to the test. To avoid burnt-out I recommend taking the game in slowly. Maybe 1 hour per day.

Lenegis. I think I'm not far from the end. Just burnt-out I guess. Lies of P is a nice change of pace actually.

Playing Lies of P also leads me to find this gem on steam.

Works great on it.

Yeah the place where cutscene happens every few steps :weary-face:

Good luck. You are close to the end. But be mentally-prepared for the final dungeon, too. That place is hugggggeeee.

I finished Erdtree and started playing the first Kingdom Hearts. I know it's a PS2 game, but good lord does it play like a PS2 game. The first 5 hours or so were kinda painful but now I'm warming up to it and all its charming cringe.

Been (re)playing Alan Wake 2, in order to the New Game+ (Final Draft) and been playing parts of the Night Springs DLC too. Great fun so far. Love Remedy games and will be hard to wait years for their next game once I am done with this and the Lake House DLC that should drop later this year.

Also started A Plague Tale Reqiuem this week. picks up right where the first game left off. So far I'm having fun, but it's a bit too much The Last of Us for my liking, in particular since I don't really like The Last of Us. The actual world so far is more interesting than generic zombie post-apocalypse, but I kinda hope Asobo would just do their own thing more.

I'm currently playing Alwa's Awakening 8bit NES edition. I am really enjoying it. It's a game I could never really get into until I got the 8bit version. There's just something about it. It also has extra content, so that's cool.

I think I may have accidentally used a key on a door I shouldn't have, and now I'm kind of stuck looking for a loose key. I'm a few hrs in, but I'm contemplating restarting from the top. It's bugging me.

I "finished" Kingdom Hearts (aka I got stuck on the final boss and this isn't a Souls game so I'm not spending hours banging my head against a wall so I watched the ending on YouTube).

I get why so many people love it, but it is very much a product of its time, and not in a good way. If I had been a child when I first played it back in 2002 I would have wound up being one of those weirdos that reads Sora fanfiction, but I'm now a manchild so it does nothing much for me. I'll play the other games in the series at some point, but I need a breather.
