DigitalFoundry gives the PC port a good review:

this comes after a glowing review by Eurogamer that Ive already linked in the Steam thread :)

A good port, no DRM, no online requirements, and returning to Steam with no EA app nonsense. Did EA... learn something?

I can't wait! I just hope that the delivery doesn't mess up and I have to wait till Monday, considering Friday is a red day.
People on Era are showing their copies arriving today(a day early!) so maybe you'll get really lucky!

I really need to tweak the settings. It runs well for the most part, but the camera is kinda jerky or something.

I spent 2 hours in the character creator last night, and have tweaked Rook every time I am in the Lighthouse.

Tweaked my settings a bit further because 4k was giving me a ton of stutters, settled with 1440p no DLSS but DLAA, RT On and RT Ultra on as well.

31 hours in, and Ive been pretty happy with the game so far.

The start of the game is way more linear than I'd like, and was worried that the game would jump the shark after a fish in a barrel turret section early on. But DAV course corrects massively after it opens up, and I've since been very satisfied by the quest lines and general exploration.

The character creator is sick af:

I count myself blessed though that I read a trophy guide (PowerPyx's, to be specific) pretty early in the game, as apparently one of the hard binary decisions midway through can result in inability to get the best ending. Chillingly, the apparently "wrong" decision was the one I absolutely would have chosen, had I not known this in advance...

Kept messing with settings at 4k and stuttering seems to be gone, no idea why. I wonder if having Firefox and tabs open takes away some of the available cpu.

Yeah I feel exactly the same, was little worried in the beginning but loving it now that it’s more open.

About the choice, eek! I chose to help the crows am I fucked?

Well... yes, allegedly. :face-with-open-mouth-and-cold-sweat: I'll shoot you a PM to avoid mucking up the thread with spoilers lol.

Wouldnt this take up both CPU overhead and RAM?

I also read about that choice, so I chose the side I didn't want to choose. I kind of regret it now, but hey... that's what re-plays are for!

My experience was very similar to everyone else's I guess -- I was very worried during the first few hours or so, but now I'm having a blast. I wish I could parry better, but even with the parry timers at their most generous, I just suck at timing anything like that, especially with all of the enemies swarming me and spell effects everywhere. Makes my choice of playing a Duelist rogue a bit questionable lol

I totally understand where youre coming from, lol. However, parrying isnt that bad - basically its entirely up to the little Arkham like reticle that appears above your character's head. When it turns yellow (from white), press parry. :kissing-face-with-smiling-eyes:

If you still cant work it out.... respecs are free lol! Ive already respecced into all three rogue variants using a single save file, before finally settling on the "engineer" style rogue (forget what it was called). Completely painless process.

Same! I stopped even trying to parry, I just dodge instead all the time and it is working pretty well. I did however lower the difficulty one step.

Ugh. I met the Inquisitor and I really wish I could redo his appearance. When I made him, I'd been in the CC for 2 hours already and rushed it so he looks goofy.

Two free cosmetic armor sets were added in today's patch to celebrate N7 day. They are not limited time or anything, so no need to rush for them

Still in the early bits where you collect your party. Just did the first mission for the crows and got lucanis.

Will hopefully have more time in a couple weeks to really delve into this game
