Take it apart and try to clean it. Good luck though.
I did that and nothing really changed, beyond the right click not feeling sticky anymore. I'll have to wait until black friday for a sale on a good mouse. The backup one I have isn't too bad, though I don't trust it for competitive gaming, lol.

GeForce Now getting a 100 hour cap:

  • At the start of next year, GeForce NOW will roll out a 100-hour monthly playtime allowance to continue providing exceptional quality and speed — as well as shorter queue times — for Performance and Ultimate members. This ample limit comfortably accommodates 94% of members, who typically enjoy the service well within this timeframe. Members can check out how much time they’ve spent in the cloud through their account portal (see screenshot example above).
  • Up to 15 hours of unused playtime will automatically roll over to the next month for members, and additional hours can be purchased at $2.99 for 15 additional hours of Performance, or $5.99 for 15 additional Ultimate hours.
  • To thank the GFN community for joining the cloud gaming revolution, GeForce NOW is offering active paid members as of Dec. 31, 2024, the ability to continue with unlimited playtime for a full year until January 2026.
  • New members can lock in this feature by signing up for GeForce NOW before Dec. 31, 2024. As long as a member’s account remains uninterrupted and in good standing, they’ll continue to receive unlimited playtime for all of 2025.

Durante and his team at PH3 have just released a major update to Phantom Brave on PC. Check the writeup here:

Hi everyone,

today we are releasing a major update for Phantom Brave PC, with several new features and fixes to long-standing bugs. Large parts of this update -- outside PC-specific fixes -- are a result of our work on Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered on PS5, and this patch brings all the applicable improvements to the PC version of the game. I'm personally particularly happy that we got to work on this game, as it is my favourite Nippon Ichi SRPG of its era, and one of my overall favourite entries in the genre.

The Sega Mega Drive and Dreamcast Classics will soon change to the Sega Delisted Classics, even if they own the IPs
Steam :: SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics :: SEGA Classics Delisting December 6th
10 years or so back, I bought the Shining Force games on Steam. They are still in my library, but they are not marked as owned in that bundle.... Do I own a separate version of those games from this bundle? What gives?

EDIT: Hold up, Steam had logged me out. All is fine.

Waiting on that release date
me too :)

I wonder if anyone else here is trying out Linux. It seems to be hitting an upswing, I've seen more videos and threads on Era coming out about gaming on Linux.
Ive been back to using Linux full-time since...hm...2021? Ive always used it to some degree, but gaming was often an issue, but with Proton, practically everything works; and I dont play multiplayer stuff with unsupported or blocked anti-cheat (doesnt mean it doesnt annoy me that they specifically block Linux for people who'd like to play those games, like Apex did recently)

We also have a Linux thread :)

It feels like there's a small trend right now, of ports from that heyday of Japanese games being rereleased on PC in ~2016 suddenly getting big updates. There's this, Killer7, and I wanna say one other I'm forgetting. I wonder what's up with that? This one stems from a new port of the game to console, maybe more games are doing that?

CRT shader!!! Thank you for your work, Durante. Also props to NISA for greenlighting the update. Updating old games may not bring in extra revenue but you build yourself goodwill.

The XSEED Falcom games got a ton of updates over the years as well. Well, specifically Trails and Ys. And unfortunately I think the Killer7 patch was not good :( it was a quick AI upscale without much care.

Finally bought a new PC. Went with a prebuilt because I'm too lazy to build one. I got a PC with a 9800X3D and a 4070 Ti Super. Was going go hold out to see what the Nvidia 5000 line was like, but with leaks showing the 5070 only has 12GB VRAM and the threat of tariffs I simply decided to pull the trigger.

I'd probably be part of the 6% if I used GFN as my main means of gaming. But I don't use it at all. :kissing-face:
If I ever flew on a trip of some kind, I'd probably buy a month of GFN to use while I'm away from my PC, but I can't imagine the cloud as the default way I play games, now or in the future. Game streaming is going to turn into the same convoluted mess that movie/TV streaming is, publishers seem to want similar licensing agreements for it, but gaming has baggage that makes freely switching between services a hassle.

Yeah, I doubt this patch directly pays for its development -- one reason it could happen is that we were porting the game to PS5, but we also updated some PC-specific things.

And of course, as lots of other games show, not all publishers are up for patching the PC version when you create a new enhanced port, and certainly not for free. (Of course, S-E is extra special again, by instead removing it :p)

Shoutouts to our team who had to dive into this literally 20+ years old codebase, and especially Markus who was still fixing high FPS bugs all last weekend.

I am still salty that some publishers do not add Japanese support in some of their early steam releases, but I guess it is just not worth it to do so... which makes this update to Phantom Brave so good to see. :cat-heart-blob:

Trying out Phantom Brave, hopefully sticking with it this time...
I'm noticing some weird behavior on my Steam Deck, which isn't a big deal but I'm curious enough to ask. So like, if I uncap the framerate, the game gets up to 160 FPS. Turning on the new textures cuts that in half, to about 86. I'm guessing it's something to do with that one CPU thread being pegged to oblivion...

Has anyone picked up the Red Dead re-release? I blasted through the story and thought it was pretty good but the whole time playing it i was just thinking about how good RDR2 was and so now im playing that again.
I don't think there is a more beautiful game world than RDR2. Love just riding around on my horse (Doris) soaking in the detail.

(Played in PS4) RDR1 world and timeline is pretty much the end of "wild west" + Redemption arc, so it is a bleaker game.
Also it came in 2010, and reading its troubled dev history, I'm surprised it even released at all. Not really fair to compare it to a full blown 2018 release.

Yes. I played it on Switch already but replaying it on Steam Deck and
ROG Ally
alongside AC Mirage for late ports.

I still don't think R* will ever be able to top RDR2. It not getting a PS5/XSX patch or SKU will forever annoy me.
