I've been meaning to play Dawn of Ys. I went through the trouble of getting it running with the fan english + dub patch. I'm currently replaying Xanadu Next and Felghana, but I think I know what I'm doing next.
Pretty much what I expected. The Deck will be great for doing side stuff in the open world but I'll try to use my PC for whenever I'm in towns or doing the main story.I covered Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's PC port for RPG Site on Steam Deck. It is playable, but drops below 30fps in busier areas despite the big visual. cutbacks. Put in over 25 hours into it on Deck including boss fights, summons, open world, etc.
Also this.Come on GMG where's my FFVII Rebirth key?
I was very much against the idea that using twitter meants supporting Musk or his "Anti-Woke" bullshit, because generally speaking, there's no such thing as ethical consumption blabla, but since he straight up did a Hitler Salute yesterday and the US government itself going full Hitler now at lightningspeed, i've definitely started to feel different about the situation and finally made a Blusky account.I know it's gonna be difficulty and if people here don't want to do that, no problem. However I ask all of you to at least reduce the amount of Twitter embeds here. I cannot stand Musk anymore after his nazi salute. Nazis deserves no attention and now the richest man in the world has done a nazi salute and has an office in the white house.
So even if Twitter can't be banned here, I hope all of you can work at at least somewhat reducing the amount of Twitter embeds.
Nazis are scum of the earth and they cannot have a single chance of becoming social acceptable again.
Aaaaand Forbidden West got region locked too...
The roleplaying game Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which came out in October following a turbulent development cycle, reached 1.5 million players during the quarter, missing the company's expectations by around 50%.
Oof, that's badmissing the company's expectations by around 50%.
I'm scared. This does not look good for Bioware.Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

For the past several weeks, the algorithm in Twitter's For You tab has become so insufferable, that the kind of contents I've curated for years has effectively been suppressed. It's all American politics, political memes and rage bait despite my best efforts in adding the keywords to my blacklist. I can no longer spend my time blocking and filtering this shite instead of discovering and enjoying the content I like.I was very much against the idea that using twitter meants supporting Musk or his "Anti-Woke" bullshit,
I'm more surprised EA Sports FC is doing relatively poorly. I thought it was one of those evergreen games like Call of Duty.
The discourse around veilguard was one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen in gaming, people who didn’t play it declaring it be one of the worst games. While it was actually pretty good, sure not amazing on the whole but it was still in my goty list.
Yeah I can’t imagine the future of BioWare is too bright right now unfortunately. It’s sad as Baldur’s Gate 2 is up there among my favorite games of all time.I'm scared. This does not look good for Bioware.
Personally, I think that's kinda the problem. EA is a big publisher, Bioware is a well known developer, and Veilguard is an AAA title that costs 60€ (+ 20€ Deluxe DLC). 7/10 shouldn't even be near a game like this. Even if I were to limit myself only to western style rpgs released on Steam I can probably find multiple titles that costs less and are better receivedI best Veilguard and honestly though it was about a 7/10 game
Yeah it's a big problem. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if a big factor in the uneven quality was it was in development as a GaaS for a long time before becoming a single player RPG but overall I can't imagine EA is happy with the final results, especially if they look at the acclaim and critical success of Baldur's Gate 3.Personally, I think that's kinda the problem. Money doesn't grow on trees, and I'm not going to spend it on a 7/10 just because Bioware made it
But that’s the thing, the series doesn’t even really have a specific game style. One thing it does consistently is change. If you are a fan of a specific mechanic and playstyle in a game series and the next game doesn't do any of it, you can rightfully proclaim it is a worse game even if you didn't play it. (and anything I read about it and saw examples of, did paint a picture of a mediocre game to me)
it doesn't help that just saying it is a bad sequel in the series or just a bad game gets you thrown in with the chuds or people throwing things like "tell us how you really feel" or "we know what your hidden agenda is" at critiques of the game.

damn, that sucks. Thought the 2022 reveal trailer looked fairly promisingEarthblade canceled
Extremely OK Games has canceled Earthblade, the April 2021-announced “2D explor-action game” from the creators of Celeste. It was planned for release for PC via Steam.www.gematsu.com

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 launches on May 29 for PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, & PC. Teaser trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U57GugkGCQbsky.app
I think the situation with Dragon Age is similar to that of Concord, in that a) the reveal trailer was horrible and put people off immediately, b) the visual design of the characters was not great and c) the writing was based on faux-MCU humor and tone that can be super obnoxious if not executed properly. Both games tried to lure in the Fortnite generation of gamers but not only did they (predictably) fail in that, they also alienated the older audience that suuuuuuuper hates the Fortnite vibe. The discourse around veilguard was one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen in gaming, people who didn’t play it declaring it be one of the worst games. Lovely to see that skunk Greg Miller writhe while having to announce one of PS Vitas biggest exclusives coming to PC though.Something I just remembered. Back in 2020, Persona 4 Golden releasing on Steam was leaked. It was set to be announced at the PC Gamer event and they even had a whole skit and everything set up with Teddy.
Ah the disappointment they must have felt.
I've mentioned this before but I think Veilguard is another example of the creator not understanding the audience they're trying to serve and the market slapping them in the face for it.I think the situation with Dragon Age is similar to that of Concord, in that a) the reveal trailer was horrible and put people off immediately, b) the visual design of the characters was not great and c) the writing was based on faux-MCU humor and tone that can be super obnoxious if not executed properly.
