New week, new thread! What are you playing?

I haven't been playing a lot due to work. I think Ubisoft will not add achievement support to Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, so I started re-playing the former this week instead of waiting further. 15 years later, this masterpiece still holds up! The PC port has issue such as fluctuating framerate between 58-62, so I locked it to 45 through RTSS and run lossless scaling to double the framerate to 90. Runs silky smooth and honestly can't notice any input lag at all. So good.

I'm playing more Balatro, Avowed (I can say that), rechecking Space Marine 2 on Deck (really huge improvement since launch) and some other stuff I can't talk about yet. Obviously I was on Daybreak II and it was a really fun game despite its issues. Don't want to sound like a broken record, but Trails 1st Chapter PC port is not something I'm looking forward to without PH3 involvement. Hopefully Kai no Kiseki at least has them on it.

Been making some progress in Yakuza: Like A Dragon. Unlocked the business managment mini-game, and happy to see a reference to Nugget, the chicken from Yakuza 0, in the form of the aptly (if cruelly) named Omlette.
Really loving the game so far, this might easily be the best Yakuza since 0, and I'm not saying this lightly. Loving Ichiban a lot, to the point that he kinda makes Kiryu look bad. Like, why wasn't this dude the focus all along, when instead Kiryu who barely wants to be in these games?

Also went back to Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. and it kinda sucks, so far. At least it seems short. So far it's like the cheap clip show episode in old TV shows, when they run out of money, so they have the heroes talk about stuff from the past and just show you things from prior seasons.

Vampire Survivors: Got all the unlocks of the Castlevania DLC. I was missing some secrets, but I ended up looking for the codes since I was burning out of the DLC, it felt like the full game again.

The Great Ace Attorney: Barely any progress, still in episode 2 of the second game.

Inkulinati: Played a bit more, I don't think it's a long game, so i should be done soon.

Did you play Judgment/Lost Judgment? I ask because when I beat Y7, I considered it the best alongside 0 and Judgment. As of last year, my top 3 were 0, Infinite Wealth, and Lost Judgment.

I am playing them in release order, and Judgment came out before Y7, so yes! I loved Judgment as well, but it differentiates itself from the main game by its slower pace. You are a detective, you need to slowly uncover the truth. Meanwhile Y7 is more "dramatic" about its story, with Ichiban always rushing ahead even if he has not a complete picture yet.

But I'm also no way done with Y7 yet, so too early to make any definitive statements, just that I am really taking a shine to how it was going so far.

I finished the FF7 Remake main story. Top-notch visuals and music. But I don't see how Rebirth makes the GOTY list unless they've massively improved the gameplay. Remake's gameplay felt pretty mediocre and boring, the house boss fight is probably the most interesting just because you have to think for once. Story is mid, dialogue is cringey af.

Though I'll still play yuki dlc and rebirth because I'm such a graphics whore and this series is a spectacle.

The PC port Is decent after some mods and ini changes. UE4 traversal stutters is the big negative, luckily there's no major shader comp stutter ruining the cinematics. Playing comfortably at 4K cap at 90fps on my system.

Also started playing the RE8 DLC, Shadows of Rose. With the DLSS mod and preset K it's looking pretty nice.

Finally picked back up Assassin's Creed Brotherhood after YEARS. One side mission kept giving me trouble, so I gave up that and focusing in main mission instead.

FINISHED IT AFTER 4 YEARS OF PROCASTINATION!

Im just playing more of the Sims; a mix of Sims 2 and Sims 3; cant really decide which game I like better (Sims 3, for example, has this open world where you can move around freely, but it also stutters a lot)
The plan is to eventually get back to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake once I had my Sims fill.
But I just play whatever I have fun playing and if a game is on backburner for a while, then so be it. :)
