What is LudoNarraCon?

A digital convention celebrating narrative games and the people who make them!

Do you love narrative video games? Do you MAKE narrative video games? Then we hope you’ll join us in May for a free, global, online-only event!
This is an inclusive event that can be accessed by anyone, anywhere. Fans of weird and interesting narrative games will be able to join together in a digital space to hear news about exciting upcoming games, play demos, and hear from talented creators!
LudoNarraCon is an experiment designed to address discoverability. By livestreaming the event on Steam’s storefront, we hope to recreate the benefits of physical conventions without anyone having to leave their homes or deal with con-flu.

Conceived and organised by indie label Fellow Traveller and made awesome via partnerships with many popular indie publishers and developers.

This convention seems interesting for folks who enjoy some narrative focused games.

That sounds pretty interesting, i'll keep an eye out for it. I'm always interested in more narrative focused games and as a bonus it's an experiment in discoverability. Curious, i wonder if this could lead to Steam having more of these aimed at other niche genres or devs or price points?

This could be the start of something. Let's see where it goes.

I really hope there are more of these conventions through Steam, could be a way to improve discoverability without Valve dictating which game is worth the attention or not.

GAME BOOTHS
Developers and publishers will stream live on their games' Steam store pages with behind-the-scenes content, couch chats, and demo gameplay. Fans can get a look at the game without dealing with a crowded exhibition floor.

All streams will go live at the launch of the con, and will then be looped through the remainder of the event, so no matter when fans "attend," they can enjoy behind-the-scenes content about exciting upcoming indie games.

EVENT SALE
A LudoNarraCon Sale will be live on Steam during the event, with more than 40 discounted games.

It will be live May 10 - 13.

It's a great idea!
Most people (myself included) are unable to attend conventions and gaming events, and a digital event is a great way to reach as many people as possible.

It will be great to see and hear more about some of these games.
I even pre-ordered (The Church in the Darkness) or helped crowdfund (Boyfriend Dungeon) a couple of these games. :)

Any idea if there is or will be a centralized page with an overview of who's streaming at what time?

Edit: ah, I should read...

Cool! I'll definitely have a look at several games then. A bunch of these are already on my radar. I'm especially interested in the procedural storytelling they did for Heaven's Vault -- hope that comes up. Tom Francis talked about it briefly on the Crate and Crowbar podcast, but there's no better source than the developers themselves.
