|OT| The official Marvel Cinematic Universe thread!

I was at San Diego comic con and got to watch Deadpool and Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman and a huge room of like 6000 people on release night. What a cool experience. Not the best theater ever, 6000 hooting and hollering will do that but it was so cool.

They gave everyone the wolverine mouth popcorn bucket and passed out popcorn and water bottles to everyone. Very fun time even it was a sin optimal viewing experience.

Then they brought out all the other stars afterwards. Including most of those cool cameos. Very fun time. Cool movie.

Didn't make it to any of the big reveals on Saturday Hall H, but I think bringing RDJ back to play doom is an interesting idea. Will be interested to see how that plays out.

Between this and Deadpool and Wolverine, it is now clear to me that the Chapek era of "pump out content as fast as you can" is over and that Marvel Studios is hitting its stride again. I am very optimistic for the future.

Saw Brave New World last night, while it wasn't great, it wasn't bad either. BUT I am so hyped to see Sam build up the new Avengers. I like Sam as the Cap and seems like a great fit to pop up in other movies to recruit.

The new Daredevil show had a very strong start. The first two episodes were good but the third was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Came out of Spiderman and so damn good! Might actually be my favorite. Of course need to rewatch and let the hype die down little but damn that was a ride. Felt much more serious, or mature than before, makes sense about them growing up. But still its spiderman!
I still need to watch the previous one haha but I'm interested in this new one.

I feel confident in saying that Marvel's slump is finally over. The three films they released after their change in direction were all quality and we have two big Avengers films ahead of us and then the X-Men. Many dismissed Feige's declarations about improved quality as PR talk but the results are clear for all to see.

I liked Spiderman. I didn't think this was like amazing cinema or something (go see the Odyssey if you want that), but it was very enjoyable. Probably in the top 5 of Marvel movies for me, but not the best I don't think.

I hope Doomsday is good, but I'm more excited to see Dune Part 3 on that weekend lol.

I watched the first Dune and I found it very boring so I didn't continue with part 2. Maybe it hits different in cinemas, I don't know.

When it comes to favorite MCU, for me its still Endgame, nothing can beat that experience, first showing on the first day in one of the biggest cinemas in paris that was filled to the brim. People were going crazy, but not in a way that disrupted the movie watching.

But this new spiderman is definitely in the top 5 for me, maybe even top 3, not sure what else even would be there. Also funny, there was a guy dressed as spiderman in cinema when I watched it.
