Tales looks so good I thought it's some new Platinum game in the vein of what they had shown for Granblue. Can't wait to see more.

Environments remind me of Xenoblade too. I said that for the Pokemon game as well, haha. I'm glad overworlds are getting interesting again.

Elden Ring will be crazy but no idea what to expect. Is there gonna be a LOT of story/characters and that's why they got George R.R. Martin involved or? Are they going for Souls-like stuff again or something new? Either way it's exciting to know it's From's biggest game, they've not done any wrong so, can't wait.

oh, you have NO IDEA how much i want that to happen ... i'd even take a straight-up 1:1 port (with resolution options and 60fps, obviously) ... i love that game SO MUCH, it's definitely the best one in the series ... and it's stuck on 360 forever now 😭

I'll be there day 1 for Tales.

Now that I think about it, it's always been day 1 when it comes to Tales on Steam for me. Since the first one Zestiria, to Symphonia, Berseria, and recently Vesperia, I got all of them day 1. It's a guilty pleasure for me.

The open mic system is incredible and perhaps its best feature. It's recognizing the music I'm playing from YouTube and Spotify through my speakers. I'd say it's a game changer for "play your music" games. Moving forward, I hope the open mic system becomes standard for these type of games.

Not to mention, it also has a vast selection of radio stations. It feels nice not having to download mp3s to my PC.

Just finished A Plague Tale. Eh, it was alright. Honestly I'm kinda baffled so many people say it is GOTY material.

I'm not glad NISA took Falcom stuff until they've proven they can deliver something of quality (which they absolutely did not with Ys 8), but with Hatsuu and Nick having left Xseed, I dunno.
My solution is to move Falcom games from no-questions-asked day 0 purchases to deep discount territory.

It was always going to pay off for them since they got a lot of money upfront in the form of guaranteed sales. The point of those deals is to make them risk-free for developers. Add to that the increase in sales from Epic's mega sale, which didn't cost anything for developers, and I bet they're pretty happy so far. Even if their sales die off completely from this point on, they can count on a Steam release to get a boost. If that boost doesn't come, then developers might start having second thoughts about signing on, especially those counting on evergreen titles for steady revenue.

So I will return again to my steady position on the matter, that Epic is more likely to put a stop to moneyhatting themselves than developers are to start refusing them. That said, I am very happy that I was proven wrong in the case of Larian. You just know that Epic made a move there, Original Sin 2 was a major success story for both Larian and Steam. I appreciate every little snub that developers give Epic.

Yeah I should have clarified my comment a bit more. I'm sure they're happy that they have something positive to announce. I'm wondering if they're happy with the amount of effort and money it took to get there. They've been spending ludicrous amounts of money left and right and all they have to show for it is a couple of minor hits. I'm sure Borderlands 3 will be a much bigger hit of course but still, it doesn't seem to me like the store has moved much towards the (assumed) goal of becoming viable without moneyhats.

Seems like they accidentally refunded partially refunded purchases that used $5 lunar sale discount.
And then gave games back out of their pocket for everyone.

(pure baseless speculation) Maybe they'll have similar promo during summer sale and this was done to prevent abuse - not meat to affect past purchases.

Maybe you know the answer to this or maybe not, either way is ok.

When browsing this place in mobile, there is a sidebar, not always but you can click the thingy and it will appear! It's really handy. Is there anyway to make that sidebar stay permanently on my screen? And is there anyway to use it on the desktop version as well? Basically like Era's sidebar. I know many desktop users don't like it but... I really do, for usability and aesthetics.

Blizzard just announced a skin for Starcraft Remastered inspired by a long running youtube cartoon StarCrafts, can't find a trailer anywhere on youtube yet so have a clip for now, it includes part of the intro and a trailer.
 
Jesus fucking christ, was going to add bankcard to my "proper" PayPal account but it was used on my other one and they said to delete it... so I did, but I took it as delete my old PayPal account but they meant delete the bankcard there! So now it's forever stuck on that account that doesn't exist so I will never be able to add it to PayPal. T_T
 
If it's a debit card, it won't matter for Paypal. I've chewed through a bunch of debit cards but it's my account number that's tied to Paypal, not an individual card.
 
looks like I missed all the BN leaks while sleeping, they'll be all day one for me, I'm mostly excited for the new tales of game though

i meant to ask which week lol but yeah next week. i have the morning shift so i don't see shit lol. i hope to see wd3 and cyberpunk release dates other than that i got no expectations.

Good point. If I thought the Star Wars stuff might be first up, that'd change things - but I'm not sure I'd make it through the extensive detailing of iterative updates to EA Sports titles to make it to the end!

EA is hosting several different streams this year all dedicated to different games. The Sports stuff is all at the end this year.

It doesn't list EA though, but then again they'd rarely have anything noteworthy to show. They do have that Star Wars game butunless you are a die hard SW fan, you can just skip and watch the trailer later :V
