If not for the Sims series my mom never would have played any games. Thanks to that series she's broadened her horizons a little and plays some easier RPG's and turn based strategy games.

I picked up the Sims 4 for her during last Christmas as well as most of the dlc and it's really renewed her love of the games. After all of the years of her supporting my gaming habit it's been kind of nice to be able to share some of that with her and bond over sharing creations in Sims or helping her in co-op with other games sometimes.
I retract. You are a bad bad person. Now I’ve wasted 30 minutes looking for an old video card (must have thrown it) and wondering about repurposing my old 2500k PC. Need a cheap video card and monitor. Then cross fingers the 6+ years old power supply and hd don’t die on me.
I just refreshed my PC some months ago and it was breaking my heart to bin the old stuff anyway. And because of you I pictured the old girl playing some chillax game with me. I don’t know, stuff like minecraft or space engineers or whatever calm sandbox is trending these days.
This could be a little too costly an adventure. But she could seriously love it.

Alright, I'm having a lot of fun with Onimusha, but this combination of save point before unskippable cutscene, followed by a number of puzzle/trap rooms that can lead to a gameover if you fail, including one puzzle that has a timer, is many things, but great is not one of them.

Ha! In this instance I suppose I'm guilty.

It probably won't help the situation any but yeah, Minecraft turned out to be a pretty good one for us and if you liked Stardew Valley that was a solid choice as well after the multiplayer update a while back. My mom couldn't wrap her head around the combat so that was usually my job. She loved everything else though.. I think she has nearly triple the time played that I do.

Wow, the new Xbox app has a search bar, a spotlight reel, customer reviews, and even genre tags? That's years of R&D. Must've been in development for a long time.

In all seriousness, it looks pretty nice. Will definitely give it and game pass a try. The power of goodwill.

Anyone here have a save file for To the Moon right at the end? Want to unlock the achievement since I played it before it had achievements.

Never mind, found one!:D

Yeah that one ouzzle room is the most annoyin part od the game but otherwise it is a neat action adventure game.
If that's the worst of it, then I'm good. I'm past it now and really enjoying everything except that :)

If it were not for the Sims 3/4, my wife wouldn’t understand my love for gaming. She has religiously played this series since like 2010; she enjoys building on it the most. I dabble here and there, but “I play all the games.”
Honestly, I haven't heard anyone speaking positively about Sims 4 since it was released, my friends, who are big fans of 2 and 3, quickly abandoned it and never came back, so I figured it was still an awful mess and never give it a chance.

I'm sorry if the language I used offended anyone, that wasn't my intention.

UWP games are literally unplayable for me because they constantly crash. MS ditching it is a godsend.
I agree about ditching UWP, I don't agree with adopting Electron for everything and anything.

Someone fucked up.

Halo MCC will be on PC GamePass
Jeez enough with the spoilers. I want to be HYPE.

Hmm. This presents a tough proposition. Getting MCC along with 99 more games with a game pass sub or buying it permanently on Steam... Probably the latter, but I've gotta see what's on the game pass list first.

Heres a bunch of the gamepass pc titles. Not all but what i could find in search.
GG Microsoft this list is fucking stacked and it isnt even all of it.
I was already on board with playing some 1st party games on current GamePass every once in a while but this is an absolute killer of a lineup for me.

With Imperator: Rome, Void Bastards and Shenmue 1+2 going to PC game pass I will delete them from my Steam wishlist.

There are multiple other games I found but never included either. For $5 a month this is an INSANE deal. The fact that they're hosting a $1 launch promo is an absolute steal.

Will definitely be playing Metro, Vampyr and Astroneer.

Sims 4 is still a thing? They have so many addons to this crap I wonder what poor bastard is unfortunate enough to keep buying all of them.
This poor bastard right here! The Sims 4 is a game I come back to all the time, usually when I have too much on my mind or am too tired to play games that require more of my focus/attention.

That game pass offer looks great. I still prefer buying Microsofts games on Steam, but I may subscribe a couple of months to try a few of these games.

The major issues I had with Microsoft were uwp + game file encryption and high game prices in Europe. It seems Spencer is addressing both of these issues, which makes me very happy!

For me Gamepass and other such services like Origin Access are great for one-and-done games that I am not likely to replay. It's like renting but way, way better value.

Sims 4 is a game where I always feel like I just been scalped again when I buy yet another piece of DLC (always at least 50% off) but then I throw yet another 100 hours into the game and realise that I shouldn't have felt bad in the first place. So yeah, price per hour and entertainment value is crazy for me but of course for other people ymmv.
